All Welcome

Darkness washed over the canopied forest, offering a foggy green afterglow. The air was cooler than normal that evening, and the scent of others waft through Onyxia's nostrils. A snort emitted her nares in repulsed reaction, knowing that nearby there was a pack of wolves. She wasn't much of a pack wolf anymore, so she attempted to keep on the outskirts of pack-lands to avoid running into any of them. Medium cuffed paws carefully stepped into the forest, her ears swivelled to every sound as she entered; her tail flicked but lay low in a lazy manner. She wasn't sure if she was trespassing, or not, but she dared herself to move forth with silent swiftness and keeping herself undetected this far with hiding her scent with the wind.

Her eyes glanced back and forth to each spot as she made her way, like a scared little doe, she was solo and had no back up if an attack were to arise, but she was quite she sure she wasn't on pack lands. Her tongue lashed across her charred lips as she scented a hare nearby. Seeing it afar as it attempted to hide by a fallen deadwood, she leapt after it and gave chase in a swift manner. Her movement was fluid as she gracefully motioned toward it, and captured it in a short run. Snapping its vertebrae with a quick snap, she dropped it to the ground and looked around to see if anyone was nearby.

No one had come thus far, so she plucked the pelt of the hare and feasted until her fill. Onyxia buried the bones afterwards and thanked the Gods for the meal. She then kissed the ground she uprooted where the hare's bones were buried in traditional thanks, and she moved onward. The hoot of an owl and the wind blowing through the trees forced Onyxia to look around once more with a cautioned state.

A deep breath inhaled as she stepped forward, deeper into the haunted forest. Hearing the owl hoot again she wasn't so startled as she was previously. She stepped into a rain puddle and stopped short of it as she lifted her wet paw from the water. She lowered her muzzle and sniffed at it as if it were poison. It sort of reminded her of the post-apocalyptic lower mainland BC, where everything you touched was poison, filled with radiation from government officials doing tests on the wildlife to see how mutated things could get; and for how long one could survive out there. Onyxia was one of the lucky ones to break free and be a survivor. But what were the long-term effects going to be? It was far from thought as she sniffed the puddle before taking several lashes of the coolness of the water into her mouth. Even the hare tasted different out here. It was healthy, and it was inviting. Even this little puddle of water on the ground was very inviting.

what were the wolves out here like? Where she hailed from, they were all hard asses, and one always had to watch their back or else. Onyxia wasn't going to let her guard down at all out here. These wolves could be far worse, far bigger and more fierce? Or maybe smaller and less intimidating, and an easy fight if need be? She wasn't here to fight, nor start anything, she was just simply running....
