Private

Harmony had left the man that was covered in smoke, it was her first interaction within the foreign lands. Being caught in the woods discouraged her, after the training she had received and she couldn’t keep herself from revealing to that man. She gave herself a small snort of disapproval and continued on to find another spot with less of a chance of anyone finding her, at least for now.

A stench had filled her nose of stagnant water and soaked wood. A sly smile came across her face as she turned her head to see a dimly lit wetland. Her pelt would blend in with the darkness and the edges of the wetlands would give more than enough food to get her through the next couple of days.

As she entered the area, shadows had engulfed her completely, the most that could be seen is the white on her pelt and the glowing eyes that seemed to be floating in the air. Harmony had took a sip of the water, as disgusting as it tasted she loved it anyway as it quenched her thirst.

Well, there was a sight that Whisker didn't see every day. This wolf lady had not only a pink eye (no, not the infection) but also a purple eye. It took Whisker several seconds of blinking before he convinced himself that what he was seeing was the real thing. She also appeared to have weird marks under her eyes, but that was far more common that her whacky eye coloration. His own eyes were a rather bright golden yellow, standing out against his pitch black coat in even the darkest settings.

Like him, she had a dark coat and blended in well with her surroundings, but the movement had given her away, and now Whisker thought it might be an adventure to pester her.

"You got some interesting eyes there, missy."

His tone was friendly enough, and his left eyebrow was raised a bit higher than his right. His look was expectant, assuming she would roll her (rather peculiar) eyes at him and tell him that every wolf she'd ever met had used that exact same line. Or she'd just get straight to trying to murder him. It was really all up in the air at this point, wasn't it?

Harmony had just finished another round of the disgustingly good water when someone spoke. She stopped all her movements as he said that her eyes were interesting. She only broke the frozen state when she flicked her tail toward him like a whip.

Her gaze moved slowly from the small wetland plants to the male. Immediately she gave him a roll of her eyes, that would probably woo him, he did say her eyes were interesting. She wanted to chuckle to herself for what she thought but kept her face as serious as possible. Ears were perked up to listen to him, what was he even doing out here? This place seemed awful enough to her and that was saying something so why would he want to be there? The question would remain unanswered as she stared him down intensely after her eye roll.

She rolled her eyes just as he had expected, and Whisker chuckled. She didn't say anything but instead gave him a rather daunting look. She was staring him down, and Whisker assumed that she wanted nothing to do with him.

"Suit yourself," he said with a shrug. Whisker's white whiskers twitched, and he began to resume his walk, walking around her and letting her be.

It worked just as she hoped, her silence had off taken him. Though that’s the outcome she wanted it bothered her. She wasn’t sure of the feeling she was getting.... guilt? She let him walk past her but as he did she brushed her tail up against him. After he had stepped from her reach she turned slightly, her eyes begging for the interaction but her heart aching for her not to.

It was a war. She didn’t know what she wanted. Alone would be nice but she wanted so bad to let it all out. The vow of her silence was more than she had ever taken on. She sought after him. She slowed as she caught up with him and nudged him on his neck.

Hopefully he’d talk so she could answer or listen. Her face felt hot and a million shades of red from nudging him, she was so shy it was out of character to feel like she had to go and talk to someone.

Even though everything about the interaction he'd had with her screamed "go the hell away," she was now following him. Whisker flinched when she touched his neck, expecting more of a bite than a nudge. Whatever her problem was, it was way above his pay grade.

"I don't know what you want, but you are really throwing out some mixed signals here." If she was trying to be coy, she wasn't doing a very good job of it. Maybe she was dumb. Yeah, that's what it was. He gave her a look of pity, wondering what kind of inbreeding produced somebody so stupid.

Harmony shied away when he turned and talked to her. She understood it wasn't the perfect interaction that he could have with someone clearly. Im sorry, she mouthed before looking down at her feet. The shadow princess had never felt compelled to talk to anyone, especially someone she just met but the male she had talked to before had shown her kindness and if she paid it forward maybe she could have some good come to her or so she hoped.

She missed Cason, the only one she actually had felt comfortable around, but he wasn't here. The head strong woman was falling apart without her companion but she hoped in time she would become that same woman she once was. Her attention came back to the dark man in front of her and she waited for a reply, by now she wouldn't blame him for leaving.

Clearly she understood him, because she spoke back. Well, she didn't exactly speak. Instead, she mouthed words, but no sound came out. Unfortunately for her, Whisker did not know how to read lips. He was not about to waste his time on somebody who wasn't even willing to talk to him. There were a million (okay, that's an exaggeration) wolves in the world who would talk to him, and he was pretty sure he'd get along with them a lot better. It didn't occur to him that maybe she was physically incapable of speaking. Everybody he had ever met could speak.

"Whatever, lady." Now it was his turn to roll his eyes, and he once again sidestepped around her and continued on his way.

It didn’t seem that he cared she even tried to get him to communicate with her in a way she’d like. This just added to her collection of others that made her want to stay the way she is. Harmony snorted in annoyance at the boys naiveness.

As he walked past her she couldn’t help but get fired up. All the anger from her past cake rushing back and she stepped toward the side of his head toward his ear just so he could hear her, “silly boy, you don’t know who you’re messing with.“ her thick accent with the Russian words were haunting. As soon as she ended her eyes narrowed as she gave one last look and then took off, disappearing into the shadows.

She could snort all she wanted. Whisker didn't give two hoots. When she put her face right up against his, he withdrew, snapping at her. He was a pretty chill dude, but even he had his limits when it came to personal space. She seemed rather dramatic with her empty threat and sudden departure, and that was definitely not the kind of thing he wanted to be a part of.

"Good riddance," he muttered under his breath. He was glad she was gone.
