Quickly he raced towards the deer to stop it from fleeing again, his eyes gleamed as Scimitar lunged and fastened his jaws at the deer and blood flooded out encouraging all the hunting wolves though he got shook off Shadow was certain that he would get it sooner or later.

Shadow closed in and lunged, jaws snapping at the deer's leg, he leaped back a moment later just in time to avoid the leg kicking back at him. Though he might not have broken it, it drove the deer straight towards its attackers and Shadow could see a slight limp in its running now.

He continued to flank the deer hoping that Leaf was doing the same thing on the other side, she seemed like an intelligent wolf. The deer found an opening and was trotting away, the limp slowing it down. Shadow ran faster and cut away that path leaving the deer again, trotting back to the attacking wolves.
