There was so much water here. Melody had been nervous at first, picking carefully through the greenery to sniff around the edges of each pool. She spent a long time drinking water, as if she might never get the opportunity again. The cool waters were inviting, and so after a time she dared to swim, though not for very long.
It was the tunnels that held her attention, ultimately. She explored them quietly, thinking of the dream she'd had in Akashingo. No part of her wanted to return — so maybe she wouldn't. Maybe she would stay here.
