Emberwood Total Eclipse

Peering around the trees, her eyes would fall onto the figure of another cloaked in the embrace of stygian hues—A man, his presence slightly daunting. She'd give little physical invocation of her uncertainty, careful to mask it beneath a stoic, unmoving expression. Nanou trailed his every moment with a hawkish gaze, suspicion gradually fading as he'd offer words rather than the pouty snarls and jeers she'd grown so used to.

Off to a better start than most of the strays she'd encountered since her departure from home—save for one.

She reclined back onto swarthy haunches to further convey her intention—not seeking hostility. It was a risk, to settle so casually, though she had faith she could weave her way around any issues.
