All Welcome
He made camp for one night in the pass, then as dawn crept up the horizon the wolf was awake and roaming south.

There were a few places where the hiking was easy, and then lots of splintering waterways that dried up the further he went, until Drusk was surrounded on all sides by cracked earth.

Above him was a vulture coasting along, maybe trailing him, maybe seeking something with a little less fight; and he didn't have to look far himself before coming across monuments to the desert's indifference.

He lingered near a pile of ribcages with long necks attached, and tugged at one of the empty heads, which themselves were long and flat-toothed.

Something further west looked like it might have been a cat, or something large like that, except the head was gone and only the skin along its belly remained, as it had died on its chest. Drusk made the effort to shove this thing over, and then gathered the scents upon his shoulders by rolling in the dust and the remains.

As he righted himself again he shakes some of the detritus off, and eyes the vulture, who has been joined by two more.
