All Welcome
At night, he saw an unknown sky.

Powder blue and cloudless, heat bore down as at midday. The sun looked on as a sentinel, high overhead. Sweltering, and unrelenting. The Cavetreader panted and sought their den, but someone had filled the hole over with dirt.

Brac turned his watch outwards. Perhaps he'd find shelter somewhere else.

A shadow passed over him; not just him, but the entire tribe. The world became harder to see. His eyes adjusted as though night had fallen - but when he looked to the sky, his eyes widened.

A stale wind caught his breath.

Cowlicked fur stood on end.

A voice boomed.

Teller, Teller!

Somewhere beyond him, a scream.

Darkness swallowed the sun.

--

He woke with a gasp, to birds chirping in the dim hours of morning light, to mama curled around him, and his siblings breathing steadily and twitching in their own dreamlands. All was well, and he leaned back down, gaze drifting out the den mouth.

His heart raced, and he panted. Darkness touched the corners of his mind, the colours, ever present. An eerie glow, orange, and otherworldly. The voice, still an echo in his mind, with words he'd understood, but could not repeat.

He stood.

Slipped between his sleeping family.

Walked between worlds.

At the edge of their den, he stared at the red sand underpaw, at the stretching walls around him.

A memory filled him, of the paste in the leaf, and Brac spat in the sand and pulled the thin paste from off the ground.

He touched his paw to the wall, and shaking, began to paint.

For plot reasons, would anyone else like to pretend with me that they will be in the path of the eclipse? And if anyone else wants to play off any of the other parts of his vision, feel free! Just thought it would be fun!
