All Welcome
don't worry i didn't forget about you <3 @Eset ONLY IF YOU HAVE TIME, dated for Jan 1st, evening/nighttime

she would never mean to disturb, never once! but there was a certain giddiness in her step as she searches the cenote, searching for the lingering scent of the leader of the house. she had heard word of these changes, of course, just word of mouth with the whole establishment with muat-riya. so she wonders how the stress sits upon her shoulders, and tuna holds a certain amount of pride to know that someone so close and dear has grown into power, rightfully so.

tuna was never so forward thinking with her ambitions, she was more than happy to kick around and simply get a compliment here and there. perhaps eset was bringing change, perhaps she was doing greater things that tuna could never imagine.

but the girl decides to not worry yet, her questions have answers, and her friend is able to provide them! that is, if she can find her first!

tucked away gently in her lips, there's a small decorative set of white ptarmigan feathers, connected together at the calamus of each feather, a solidified sap holding it all together. the feathers were neatly brushed with coconut oil and remnants of pearl dust, offering an iridescent sheen. she hoped that it would be a decoration of some sort, or perhaps a gaudy headpiece of eset favored such things!
"English" "Spanish" "Nahuatl"
speaks with a Texan accent which can come across in all of her languages

The minutes seem to tick by with maddening slowness, and still Eset finds there is not enough time in the day for all of her plans. She was feeling a new kind of excitement, a clarity and nerve that had not been within her before as fellahin. There was so much she wanted to create in this new palace; paintings and motifs with the likeness of Toula, places of prayer to commemorate each principle god and goddess, and common rooms within their limestone halls for every indweller. She’d even found a modest grotto where the sun fed the walls and the earth was soft underfoot- a place, perhaps, where one could start a garden.

Approaching footfalls wrestle her away from the scattered floorplans. Eset straightens herself and quickly smooths a paw over a tousled ear in a semblance of formal poise. She maintains a jackal’s straight-backed composure until a dear face turns the corner and she is reunited with her friend.

“Hi, stranger,” Eset breathes, uncertain at first how to feel upon seeing Tuna again. She looks healthy and strong, and the feathers she carries are feminine and beautiful as they glint in the lowlight of her chamber. She should reach to delicately accept the lavish gift, but the hebsut can think only to push herself into Tuna’s arms and sink into that embrace still so warmly familiar.

“I’ve missed this; I‘ve missed you,” she murmurs along the woman’s golden nape, inhaling both the scents of Akashingo and coyote laden in her furs.
