All Welcome
Having finished building his one-man lodge, Raiyuk took some time to relax and see who might need him among the wolves of Moontide; however when he came to the lodge of Chakliux he found his father deep in conversation with his friend Dutch, the women busy with skins, Taggak entertaining the cubs to give them relief, and little reason to linger. It was good to see everyone happy and involved. He slipped away again, and this time as he roamed to the farthest reaches of Moontide, he did not stop.

Something urged him to run, so he did. The familiar feeling of excitement which he had found in the Gilded Bay as he chased the woman (River) had surfaced again, but there was no reason for it, and no outlet for the young man to utilize to cleanse it from his spirit. So, he ran. He moved until his muscles ached and his lungs burned. He moved until the sun had set and then prowled the night, watching the stars as they stared down at him.

As content as Raiyuk felt with his life, he also held a sense of being untethered after his scar ceremony. He was a man now; but what came next? He did not think of himself as suitable to be a husband yet, but neither was he a child awaiting the lessons of his father. He had his own lodge built now, and his father's wives did not need him for anything. His siblings were too small for him to do anything with, whether it was playing or teaching, and he had never been a brother before.

It felt as though Raiyuk had met the goal his father had wished of him: to become a man, survive his seal hunt, and earn his scars. As he watched the clouds drifting over the moon and across familiar constellations, he wondered about what he was meant to do now.
