All Welcome
The valley welcomed them. @Wolf Dreamer dreamed, and Wilwarin felt the pull.

She gathered Airasea to herself one morning shy of dawn, and roused the Dreamer, and placed @Galathilion with him.

They moved south as the need came to her. A day passed, two, three; she did not eat and she did not sleep, but she carried her son as long as she could, and eventually came to a forest.

It was here Wilwarin stopped and placed @Airasëa upon the earth where Dreamer waited. She moved off from them, in to the forest—and when she returned her pale legs were streaked with mud, and she carried in her teeth a bouquet of purple flowers.

As she places these with the sleeping boys she says to the man, There is a place here for us.

Airasea murmurs a protest as he is picked up again, and with a sense of mania (or something close) Wilwarin carries him off to the den she speaks of. Has she found it? Has she built it? She does not say more—only vanishes inside to place one boy, then reach for the other.

did wilwarin dream also? she was determined; she led them. wolf dreamer was happy to follow and to carry the boys, to talk to them and tend them while she ranged ahead.

the place was a tusk stabbing up and up toward the sky. he took in the networking of webbed dens into which the woman disappeared for a moment.

he handed galathilion to wilwarin when she reached for her second son. "i am going to patrol and hunt. if you go deeper into the mountain, mark your trail and i will find you."

he wondered what was there, and climbed into a darkened tunnel, hunting up along the outside ridges.

Wilwarin nodded to his suggestion and then watched him go. The boys were left with her now, alone.

What would they remember? Would growing up here be good for them? Would they be haunted by golden thread or would they remain blind?

She nests with them, watching, waiting.

he went.

he walked.

he looked for wolves and did not find them. he stumbled suddenly, dreaming, and there he found more.

more.

the golden threads would always lead him back to wilwarin.
