heda and druid’s children grew stronger. ava did not interact with them; they reminded her too much of her early memories of sweetharbor. how long, how long until they suffer as she had suffered?

ava amara’s presence here was fading, just as rivenwood’s dense forest turned to its full verdant splendor. 

her gaze climbed the sky, where outlines of fresh green leaves blurred with the oscillating edges of clouds and cerulean openness. the patterns here threaded in strange beads of light, and for a long while, ava simply stared as the sun climbed across the horizon.
