Stelmaria traveled along her precious river, The Bridge From Land to Sea, and marveled at its moonlit glisten. She heard the voice of the water, its rumbling, its gurgling, its rushing. She listened to how it fed the land, quenched the thirst of countless lives, and surged ceaselessly - endlessly! - towards home in the vast ocean.
The tigress admired her landscape, her own home, and felt no loneliness beneath the peek of stars through the parting clouds. The rain had stopped an hour prior in the night, leaving behind the scent of a cleansing, and allowing her this moment of quiet appreciation.

Taggak's adventures had sparked an itch to roam. Or, perhaps, it was simply the innate urge to disperse that had begun to grow soon after his first birthday. Whatever the case, the boy found himself ranging the coast when he was not spending time with his father or watching over the pups.
The rain did not bother him; a quick shake of his pelt ameliorated any chill the water might bring as he paused to quench his thirst at the river. Pinpricks of stars danced beautifully on its rippled surface - Taggak soon found himself transfixed by their subtle movements.
The scent of a stranger drew him from his task and he gazed up to see a woman. Unsure if she has noticed him, he chuffed quietly, tail beating the ground in a friendly greeting, though he made no move to disturb her peace any more than that.

Stelmaria’s head turned at the sound of a voice, capturing sight of a young shadowwolf, a male by the ruff of his cheeks and the squarish set of his shoulders. His posture and mannerly intrusion put her at ease, so she waved her tail back at him and beckoned him forth even as she came to meet him.
She gestured, to make her question clearer, and smiled at him playfully.
Salve, stranger. She studied him openly, grateful to what she saw of him and self-assured that he would be impressed to look upon her as well. There was nothing shy about the wandering of her gaze or the casual tilt of her muzzle.
What do you think? A beautiful sight, no?She spoke of the river, her beloved, of course, but who was to say at first without reading her thoughts.
