being born is hectic. always someone shouting, always something rumbling that isn't his belly. if he'd known this, he would've preferred trading places with someone else.
something new has started bugging him. something bright — it went away sometimes, but it would just come back later. the only reprieve from it was when he could hide in his aaka's fur again. akiak finally musters the courage to confront it, and suddenly, the black world he once lived in becomes bright.
blue eyes flitter around. the baby boy doesn't move an inch from his curl except for his head, looking around a world he wasn't privy to until now. the denmouth floods him with light, and akiak huffs before searching for his aaka, curious to learn the face of the woman he has clung to since his birth.
