Unlike his three elder siblings, the pup who would be called Relonikiv did not mind being born. He slipped from between his mother's hind legs with a loud cry, though it wasn't one of protest but a sort of happy declaration: Hooray, I'm borned!

He made almost no sounds as his mother licked him clean and dry, smiling all the while and batting at her with spastic movements of his tiny forelegs—and they were tiny. He was easily half as big as his litter mates. Like with most things so far, Relonikiv didn't mind this. He bumped gently against soft, flabby bodies and found his way to a teat, latching onto it and nursing with muted enthusiasm.

When he sensed a particularly domineering presence (his eldest brother, Trajan), the pale puppy rolled onto his side, his whiplike tail curling along his pink belly as he submitted. He was the natural Omega to his brother's Alpha. He smiled blindly and made a quiet woof sound. The moment passed and he rolled back onto his tummy, wiggling now just for the sake of it, his teeny nose eventually bumping into one of Paarthurnax's toes.
