When Lusa spoke, Cicero nodded to confirm that he understood. He listened silently to Meldresi's instructions towards the rest of the pack, his attention flickering away to this and that detail around the area every now and then. His attention returned to his mother when she said that he and his siblings could help trap the deer, too. He had not really paid attention during the explanation of what the trapping was, but he figured that Lusa would probably tell them what they needed to do. Cicero nodded calmly, a smile on his face, while he waited for further instructions.

Unlike Cicero, Damien payed little regard to Lusa's instructions. They didn't mean anything to him, and he was too arrogant to even allow someone to babysit him. He was almost an adult now, and he wanted to get the recognition for it. So when his mother spoke, telling the pups that they would have a place in the hunt and that they could help trap the prey, Damien shot a cocky glance at Lusa, as if rubbing the fact that she had just been humiliated by Meldresi's change of plans.

The night child reassured his position besides his mother, and every move she made, he made it too, learning from every step they took towards the prey. His first hunt was going to be a success and no one would take that away from him.

Potema stuck her tongue out at Lusa. It was an unprincess thing to do, but she could not help it. Her mother had a change of plans, and now, they were going to help hunt. She didn't need Lusa's supervision anymore, not with her mother nearby. The young princess stole beside her mother, but then realized how cramped they were and moved aside. Then she waited for the signals that were so essential to a hunt's success. Waited and watched.

Grim had listened to the Alpha's orders with little interest. Such a hunt will be easy for them with so many adults. He wasn't eager to do any hunting today. The fact that his little killer was happy to watch the pups annoyed him, but he didn't expect her to have the same feelings about them as he did. He kept his eyes away from the white one, ignoring her. She was a nuisance, an abomination.

He stood quietly, waiting for the deer to come to them. There was no challenge in this hunt. But it was for the pups, so he hadn't expected much. Should he show the whelps a hint of the darkness in himself? Take one of the deer by the leg, drag it to the ground, take a portion of it's neck, and let the little one's watch it die a painful death? It would certainly make things more interesting. A small grin twists his facial features, darkening his expression. Perhaps he could drag out it's entrails for show as it struggled in fear.

When Meldresi did a change of plans, her children gave her punk looks (expect Cicero of coarse), making her a bit angry. She only shook her head and looked away, not wanting to snap at them in front of their mother. She sat down and waited for Ohen and Kenneth to spook the deer into the clearing.
