Her mind was fuzzy as the tri-colored stumbled back towards the borders of her home. Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the blood that had dried there. How long had her babies been without her? She couldn't even remember. All she did remember was going off to sheepeater cliff one day, thinking she would get the pups something new and exciting to eat. But the next thing she knew, the cliffs were high above her, an awful gash in her head and the wind starting to blow widely.

She had hid in the mountains, disoriented and terrified for her family. As soon as the crazy wind had stopped she had started back towards Silvertip, only to find that she had ventured even further away.

But now, she was so close to home, to her babies. And to Fitz, oh how she missed him. She didn't even consider the possibility he was mad at her.

Finally the scent of the borders reached her nose and she nearly collapsed in exhaustion. She hadn't eaten for a week or so and her fur clung to her ribs. The only thing about her that looked alive were her eyes. They glowed with hope and happiness as she lifted her head, calling her babies and her mate. When the howl ended, she lay down on the ground and closed her eyes. She was finally home.
Hope you don't mind if I take advantage for this for Warden

Finally, he was back home. It had been a few days since he went out on his quest and he missed his new home. He didn't know exactly why, he just wanted to see his home again. He became so close to the moutain, something he thought woukd never happen.

He was now patrolling the borders, looking for any wolves. It bought back the time when he saw that dark coated female. He didn't trust her. She scent a strange shiver down his spine. Ghostly eyes rested on a light coated female. He watched her howl for Fitz. Well, she would be getting him instead.

He padded up to her with a friendly face. He didn't want to scare her away like the other one. "Hello ma'dam. Can I help you with anything?"
FitzDutiful was peacefully slumbering. Both Mason and June were curled up around him, in their safe haven since the storm had struck. He had extended that invitation to all of his pack, one big den instead of multiple little ones seemed nicer, but the wolves were free to do as they liked. A howl ran through the cave and, for the briefest of moments, FitzDutiful thought it was a dream. The echo caused it to sprint through again, fainter, and FitzDutiful realised that it was no dream. She was back.

Cautiously, he headed down to the borders. He'd told Mason and June to stay put, asking whomever was around to look after them. Who knows if they'd listen? They were getting bolder and bolder each day.  When he got there, he saw Issun had already intercepted her. That was good, it meant he was well on his way to warden training and FitzDutiful greeted him first.

Then he looked at her. His heart hardened and his eyes narrowed. He knew he would never deny her access to the pack, he wouldn't take her away from his children in that manner. But he didn't think he could give her his heart again. It was too painful. Before he let anything of that slip through he wanted answers. And they had better be good.

"Issun, this is who I told you about when I first met you." he said by way of introduction. "Raissa, my ex-mate." She could give her explanations without being asked. He owed her nothing.
