I couldn't help myself but put the song as the thread title.
@Iqniq Kit was confused. Where was she? She walked around trying to figure out. Her fluffy tail moved slowly from side to side. She got bored and started digging to see if she could find anything of value to her. She didn't and put the dirt back where it was found at first. The smell of wolves bothered her little nose.
Ohh! By which band? Love that title. Thanks for starting!

He was off exploring again. He wanted a better idea of what lands and areas surrounded his new home. To the north, and slightly west, he ventured across the tops of the mountains to better fill his mental map of where his new home was located. Sawtooth appeared to be just another series of peaks within this greater mountainous range, but thus far he was pleased with their location. They offered much for the pack and he couldn't wait to fully explore them.

But for now it was elsewhere.

He crept across the mountainous range. Nose to the ground, he sought out any scents or clues as to who or what they might be neighbors with. At the scent of fox his ears lifted, his lips peeling back in a silent growl. He'd killed a few of those things before. With pups on the way, he'd take no chances at letting one of those scavengers ravage the welping den.

With intent, he tracked the smell and stalked the fox. One less vermin in the world would only be a benefit to all wolf-kind.
My Chemical Romance. It's mostly rock though. Many people like it a lot.
Kit's tail twitched. Her tail twitched and she looked around. She continued walking around trying to find where she was. She saw a low branch on a tall tree and jumped up branch by branch until she could look around and maybe find some help. She had perfected jumping on branch not very long ago. She liked to pretend she was a wild cat lazily sitting in a tree. She liked to pretend to be lots of things, but she was just stuck in her fox body.

She hadn't been in this place before. She got off of the tree and elegantly went back to the ground. Kitana did act like a little kit sometimes, but she didn't mind it. Many times she could sound like a older fox, that didn't last long though. Her stomach growled and she looked around for a quick snack.
Nice! I haven't listened to them in forever.

It was in the trees. The fox... was in the trees. The hell? When did foxes become climbers? Like wolves, he didn't think foxes really had the claws for it, but damned if he hadn't seem a strange thing or two in his time wandering the wilderness. Still, tree or not, he hunted the damn thing and he hunted it via the ground until the fox became bold enough to set food on the solid ground again.

Ah ha! There! Now it was bold enough. Iqniq sprinted after it, leaping for the fox in attempts to catch it.
Yay! Someone who listens to them! :D
Kit heard steps behind her. She looked back to see a giant wolf following her. He looked like he was out for her. Her eyes widend and she used her small slick body to her advantage. "Please stop! I mean no harm! I'm just lost!" The girl was very scared. She didn't want to harm anyone except for maybe a bird for her dinner, but that was it. Her mind raced trying to find ways to escape. Trees? Maybe. She could trick him..no, he could just follow her scent. She could outrun him if she really tried. She had was just in the beginning of her adventures and already almost dead.
The silver fox darted. He pressed onward after it even if the bushy tailed thing fled. It was sure footed and swift, but his strides were longer. A time or two, he was able to reach out and nip at the edges of its tail before it slipped out of his grasp and squeaked some sort of sound.

While both were canines, their vocals and culture were different enough that he didn't have the slightest idea as to what the animal was trying to say. Nor did he care. All he knew was that there was a fox prowling around somewhere close to his home and he wanted very much to exterminate it.

And thus, the chase continued.

It would make a very handsome throw rug.
A tree with a perfect low branch came up and Kit jumped up faster than she had ever before. She almost slipped on a branch, but got up out of the way of danger. Her mother had taught her some wolf words so if she ever found herself needing to talk to one. She didn't question how her mom knew this, but Kit didn't question it.

"I..no..danger." She knew it was choppy, but hopefully he knew what she had said. She didn't want to die just yet. She was shaking from being so scared. Please don't hurt me. She thought.
He ran, plowing after the silver fox as it slipped into the lower bows of a tree. Iqniq came up behind it, running and snapping after it as he growled. That branch was low... He attempted it, jumping for it, but his body was to big to find purchase like that of the nimble fox.

So... he wouldn't climb a tree, but he could lean his paws against the limb and snarl at it all the same. Until it spoke, squeaking out a few wolfish words that made him trust the fox less and less. They were known for being crafty things and he would not rest until the creature fled or perished between his jaws.
"Friend.. Hiraku lost brother. I help look. I lost him. Need help get back. Mom teach me when young to talk like this if you wonder." She struggled to remember the words and it made her head hurt to think so much."Did you see red fox come here?" Maybe he had seen Hiraku's brother. Her head now pounded trying to remember what her mother had taught her long ago before she left."I leave if you no see him. Can you tell me where I is?" She looked down at the angry wolf and spoke the language that the wolves use.

One of her paws slipped and she fell down on the bigger branch right underneath her. She was only about 3 feet away from his teeth. Kit had fallen on her head which wasn't good since the branch she was on before was many feet higher up. She could smell some of her blood that had started to flow from her small head and got back onto her paws. She had injured herself, badly.
It was still trying to speak the language of wolves, and was making words, but he refused to hear them. The Spine had had a number of run ins with foxes and with pups on the way, he was not about to let there be any sort of continued trouble with these vulpine creatures. He wanted them gone, all of them. He wanted them to know they were not welcome anywhere close to their new home.

His snarl deepened. Teeth bared, the tides shifted in his favor when the fox fell from the tree. Blood drifted into the air and he hardly had a moment to register the scent before he closed this distance between them and reached out towards it with powerful jaws. Intent to kill.

If the fox was going to get out of this alive, it would need to flee. Now.
Kit took off running faster than she had before. Escaping alive was the only thing one her mind. She had jumped off the tree and started running the way she had came making all the turns and even went through a bush trying to get him away from her. Her body ached and yearned for her to stop, but her head disagreed with the rest of her. The little fox's heart raced while she ran only using her head and adrenaline that pumped through her veins. I'm going to live. She thought as she tried to get more distance between the two of them.
End of Kit's posts.
The fox managed to squirm out of his way. Teeth clashed down on nothing but air as he fell short. He cursed himself mentally. The fox was close, too close for its own good, and still he had missed it. Damn it. If he ever had the opportunity again he'd not fail to end its life for good.

Nevertheless, it scampered a way. He let loose a roar of a snarl it its wake to serve as a reminder to what it might encounter the next time they crossed paths... if there ever was to be a next time. Hopefully it'd let its friends know the wolves in these parts did not mess around.

Good riddance to the vermin.
