Burke had quickly rekindled with Meldresi, after Slade left to do his thing, Burke was keen on getting his scent back on Meldresi. He wanted to be close to her, even the days after their reunion Burke was more keen on spending time with her than anyone else. Now he had to do his alpha duties that were piling up. He had to mark the borders and check the caches.

He was just about to do the latter when the male scenting something he didn't dare to hope smell for. It was definitely Meldresi, but... even more deliciously smelling than she did ever before. The tank of a male sped after the scent, chased it like he would do to his prey. The scent became stronger and stronger as he got closer. When he saw her he was almost intending to tackle he down but he decided to be a bit more gentle with her. 

He had to hit his emergency breaks again. His eyes looked lustful as her scent was invading his nose and doing things to his body. Burke let out a pleased growl before smirking. "Why didn't you howl for me?," he asked. It was no secret he wanted a litter with Meldresi. It would be their last one, and he knew they would be perfect. Burke loved Bane's children, so he would definitely love his own, the one he created with Meldresi. Burke's first children that would be created out of love.

After meeting with several of the new females of her pack, Meldresi walked back to their den, hoping that her mate would make his way back from whatever he was doing and "get reacquainted" with her. It was all that was on her mind at the moment. Not the thought of having a new litter, not her own teenagers, just the heat of her loins and the only male who was allowed to touch her.

She didn't have to wait long for Burke to come charging at her like a wild bull. Her reaction was mixed, a whine and a growl leaving her mouth simultaneously. Stepping forward and pressing against Burke without ceremony, Meldresi began licking his shoulder while her tail waved slowly, spreading her scent around. "Can we not worry about that now?" She murmured, her voice even lower and sultrier than usual. Her tongue swept up to his neck and under his chin. "You're here and I'm in heat. That's all that matters." Hormones prevented logical thought, even to the calmest and wisest creatures, like Meldresi.

Burke growled back when she growled. He did it for no real reason maybe to calm her down a bit. This was basically Burke's dream ever since he got to BFW. His mind switched into a more feral one once Meldresi pressed herself against him. He let her lick him for a moment, her wagging tail was making matters worse way worse. He ignored what Meldresi was saying because helping her out of this heat was way more important to him but he did hear her tone and instantly went crazy. The big male moved up behind her and instantly mounted her. It wasn't really romantic since well, they weren't the wolves to do that. 

They were the Dark King and Queen who prayed to the Goddess that approved of all of this. Burke grabbed her scruff and his front paws clamped around her sides. He had Meldresi regularly in private in this position, especially after she returned, but now it was different. They both went crazy for it, and there was a very high possibility of pups. Burke then realized that after this he should stay by her side, always. No male was allowed close to her. She was his and he wasn't going to have any man have her like only he was allowed to.

Burke did not take time to attempt to stimulate her at all; she was already at that point. The Night Queen whimpered softly at the familiar weight on her back, her mind going crazy with his warmth. Meldresi arched into his embrace, her tail lifted to give him purchase, backing into him to get the act started. They both ached for it, both for the wild feeling of sex and the gratification of having their last litter, more princes and princesses for the dark forest. While her first litter was born of a magical moment, urged by her goddess, this was something else. It was something they both wanted. It wouldn't mean that she loved her children any less, but this litter would be different, she was sure.

Normally Burke tried to be more gallant with Meldresi, making sure that she was at the same wavelength as him when it came to this topic. But now there was no need for that, he knew how Meldresi was fairing and she wasn't doing very well. Of course he could make it all better and that was what he vowed to do. It didn't take long before his hips started to move and his mouth grabbed her scruff. He liked to do that from time to time. But now the air was filled with need and passion. He liked to have a good grip on her, making sure nothing could go wrong in the private moment they shared.

Meldresi yelped softly as Burke entered her, pushing back to meet him. Being in estrous had its benefits, over stimulating her. Not that she was complaining, of course. Meldresi was in bliss, knowing in the back of her mind that this would be replayed over and over for a few more days. Burke wouldn't let any wolves come close to her in this state, increasing their chances of having one final litter. But in reality, all Meldresi could think of was the warmth generated between them, yelping out words half-coherently as she was driven to her peak.

Burke tugged on her scruff harder, he would mellow down over the course of Meldresi's heat but now it was their first time coupling together as she was ready to conceive and Burke was getting a bit carried away. He was was only male after all. But he knew with Meldresi being in the zone he would be okay in the end. His hips moved avidly until the deed was done. There wasn't more about it. Burke felt a wave of satisfaction go though his body and he dismounted his mate. He tried to move closer and licked her cheek. "You are amazing, you know that?," he hummed.

Meldresi gasped contently as they both met their peaks, the fire of their lust lulling into embers for the moment, still warm, but not at the same level of passion as before. Tied to Burke, she pressed into him as he licked her cheek, basking in the glow. "The same can be said of you, my love." She hummed, reciprocating the action, running her tongue along his cheek and chin, waiting for their tie to break. It would be longer than usual due to her heat, but she enjoyed the warmth while it lasted.

It took indeed a long time before he was untied from the female, but to Burke it was only a good sign. He stepped closer to her, licking behind her ear. They would have a moment of peace now Meldresi had calmed down, though surely she would feel that need again. Burke hummed softly, clearly very smitten with his mate. His perfect dark queen. "Lets get some food in your system before you feel the need return," he spoke. He knew he wasn't the lightest male to carry, and for that Meldresi needed enough food to keep her energy levels up.

Meldresi knew that there was only going to be a few moments of piece before the need rose again in her core, and that short period of time was perfect for restoring her energy. She would need these periods of rest, especially if Burke was going to be with her for the rest of her heat. Pressing close to the silvery male, she walked to the nearest cache, slightly sore from the passion in their love-making, but not willing to complain.

Burke hummed as his female stuck close to him. He knew they were going to have a busy week up ahead and the grey tank was more than eager for it. This time it was different, he wanted these young with Meldresi because he loved her, she was perfect so their future young would be perfect too. The pups he had with Dalia weren't like that. He just had her because she was in heat and the pack needed to grow. How he regretted that decision now. It ended up with him having to deal with Sebastian. He pushed those thoughts away. He was with Meldresi now, his perfect lady. He grabbed her some food and let her eat in place, ears alert for any male that dared to come too close.
