It has been a few days since Redwood has joined the Spire. He was grateful to be here, for survival wouldn't be to hard. With others around him, a huge weight was lifted from his shoulders. All he cared of was staying alive, he had yet to learn how to bond with others. That would not come easy at all. The only wolf he ever felt a bond towards was Raven and even that connection wasn't strong. In the end, she was only backup.

He had slept through this warm autumn day in his den. He was quite tired from walking around the borders on rocks the last couple of days. So sleep took him away until the darkness of midnight took away the light. He woke up with a yawn, for once feeling very contempt. He did not think of the past, only here and now. Finally a place to call home.

Redwood had forced himself up, mind on getting a drink. He would probably take it easy tonight, then work again through the daylight. Slowly, he walked out, observing the scenery. The moon made his pelt glimmer in the night, his eyes almost glowed in the darkness. He walked for awhile, head in the clouds. He thought nothing at this moment.
Can we backdate this before this thread? I don't know what's going to happen there, so I want to be cautious!
Much has happened in a short span of time. Pups, prey movements, meeting newcomers...Restlessness haunts him well on into the hours. Sawtooth Spire's insomniac was not the only one stalking through the gloam. Tatsuya dozed, craving the tranquility of deep sleep. Alas, it escaped him. Now was as good a time as any to explore the spire's nightlife.
INDENTNo hustle and bustle. Nothing obnoxious save for the distant, persistent chirping song of crickets. Slipping through the trees like a wraith, he found comfort in the underbrush. Pitch and aromatic, here he sat whilst staring at an illuminated patch. Spreading dogbane, a toxic weed. The sight of it daubed beautifully by moonglow betrayed how lethal it actually is. It's pink-white flowers invites. Luckily, Tatsuya is no fool. Removing the threat by uprooting it, he settled back to look down on his demolition. Not enough. He urinated on the spot; a concise message lying within the excrement. Do not mess with. Content, Tatsuya turned to the highlighted woods.
INDENTA shadow passed by.
INDENTNot many things frighten him in this life, but the suddenness of a roaming shade spooked him. Bristling, he ran for the shadow. Whoever he was, his saving grace was the subtle scent of Iqniq nestled in his fur. Otherwise Redwood's jaunt might have ended in getting to know the wolverine's teeth. Shaking off the aggression, the Delta barked. Not of alarm but of greeting; a lupine “hello.” Presence declared, he loped over with a eased carriage. Depending on how the wolf reacts, Tatsuya's disposition might warp. He left the ball in the newbie's court, as always.
Sure thing!

He was about to keep going, but a greeting bark had stopped him. He turned around to see a darker colored wolf in the shadows of night. The scent of the Spire clung to his fur, so this man wasn't an intruder. It was a good thing the same scent clung onto his own fur, or his blood would have been spilled.

He nodded his head once, also a silent greeting. This pack seemed to be more on the quiet side to him, which was something that would get some getting used to. "My name is Redwood, a newer member here. And what should I call you?" He had just arrived and this pack stuff was already strange to him From the day he was born, to a few days before this moment, he was a loner. Born and raised one. This whole working together thing would need practice, so he had an idea.

"I don't want to just stand here and talk. Maybe we can search for prey to round up."
The agouti male did not adopt a dominant air or a submissive one. Inadvertently, this appealed to Tatsuya. Even so, the wolf's neutrality might be tested in the weeks to come. His passage into the ranks was rocky. To this day, the wolverine's place among Sawtooth Spire's denizens remained touch-and-go. Nonetheless he is determined to remain here no matter who he offends, shaped by the indomitable she-bear's idiosyncrasies. With any luck, this Redwood would go through a more painless transition than the Delta did.
INDENTRedwood charmed him even more by his succinct introduction and suggestion. Eyes gleamed, pleasantly surprised. With a pleased wave of his tail, he opened his mouth to speak. “I'm Tatsuya. Dubbed Kapvik by our peers.” The wolf could use either if it so pleased him as he would answer to both. 'Redwood' did not seem to be of Tonravik's tongue. Has the wolf not been christened yet? How unexpected. Or maybe he did not care for his alias. Either way, Tatsuya's opinion of him remained unchanged.
INDENTI'm game,” he purled with expectant orbs. He wanted to hunt, yeah? Then he could take point. If not, Tatsuya would fill the position just as well.
