Set in Wapun Meadow, very close to BCV :3

Desna knew that she wasn't really allowed to go over the marked like her mother called 'border'. But the young female had been so interested as what laid beyond the valley. The plump little girl climbed all the way up the boulder path until she reached the border line. She was given more freedom and her mother wouldn't notice her going out of the valley if she just went a bit further, right? Her hazel colored eyes looked ahead, her curiosity made her set a paw over the marked line. A thrill went to her body, tail wagging because she felt super tough. She loved her mommy but sometimes she also wanted to ignore her mommy.

Once the first step was made she suddenly rushed forward, always imaging that an alarm would go off. No sound other than her ragged breathing and fast beating heart. She looked over her shoulder and then trotted further with her head and tail high. Wait till she told Sesi this! She would be so impressed! Maybe Xan too! Desna moved over the path, and once she was clear of any foliage she saw a big meadow spread before her. "Woooaaa," she let out softly, her eyes turning big at the look of the big field. Without any fear in the world she started to walk forward more into the meadow. She was giggling softly in excitement.
The brute paced back and forth in the meadow, he grumbled to himself distractedly, as if muttering off some sort of incantation he'd known since birth. He curled his lips as his spit the incoherent words out as is if they burned his tongue.

As single word brought him to utter stillness, his eyes narrowed. Suddenly he had an involuntary shutter. mmmm someone walked across my grave he spoke coherently in a soft sing song voice as he lowered his head to the level of his shoulders and made direction toward the source of the youthful sound.

The large pungent male circled behind the Pup placing himself between it and its place of origin where ever that may be. Before he stepped out of the brush and crooned gottcha
crouching low in a pounce position, but not yet making a move, though he could with far to little effort now. He locked his hypnotic pale blues on her and waited for the pleasure of surprise in her features before he took the life from her body and offered it up to his darkest god
Desna was careful to look around like her mommy told her. She could still see the border. Her hazel eyes then spotted a leaf and she slowly started to stalk it, not clue that she was being stalked herself. She jumped on top of it and grabbed the brownish leaf. She bit it and then looked up when she thought she heard something. She turned around to look at the border she came from. Her eyes scanned around seeing a wolf in the grass behind her. She frown for a moment because he hadn't even said hi to her. Why was he hiding like that? She sat down and looked at him with a frown on her face. "Why you tryin to hide?," she asked. "I see you," she pointed out.

This wolf was clearly stupid or something like that. Though, Desna was smart enough not to say that to his face. Desna was not easily scared or timid. She was actually really forward and bossy. She liked to go her own way. She decided that this wolf was too weird for her and she just started to casually trot away from him without further notice. She had more important things to do! Like exploring and finding out more things about this cool field. Would it have rabbits too like they had at home? Bet it did!
Zev is larger by far but still I’m trying not to power play However, if you want to inflict wounds on him, feel free. Sorry my posts are so short I need to flesh out this character more

A soft three part chuckled escaped him as she gave him her back, that was yet another costly mistake, and so was ignoring him in the first place.
Zev spoke with a gruff matter-of-fact voice. I was not trying to hide little one, If I had been you would not have seen me.

The nasty brute leaned back and pounced forward closing the gap between them, Attempting to crush her below his chest to pin her down with his full and healthy adult Mackenzie Valley male size and weight without using his teeth. For he felt if he had to use his teeth it may not end well for the little ignorant whelp.

He continued his explanation while waiting for her struggle to cease. I was merely getting behind you so you could not run home; unless of course, I choose to let you live

Zev readied himself for a bite of two he wouldn’t care even if she did draw his blood, That would just mean her debt to him would be more costly. Not that she’d likely want to get a mouthful his thick ungroomed and rather smelly and stained hide.

Zev’s smile was more of a bareing of every adult sized tooth in his head, so close to her face. His tail swayed back and forth, he was enjoying this far to much, perhaps he didn’t need to kill her today after all. What was a sense of destroying a perfectly fun toy.
The bear's contemptuous claim failed. The pack was unharmed and well fed. A happy ending for the denizens of Sawtooth Spire. Except not really. The attack left him frazzled and fidgety more than usual. How many hard knocks have they endured? First there was the eviction from Ouroboros Spine, Arverk's disappearance, the coyote attack, and now a bear. All in the span of a month and a half. What the hell is going on? Sawtooth Spire was starting to look cursed. Like someone (or something) decided they didn't like the place so they damned it for future denizens. The wolverine did not believe in such malarkey. And yet, all that has transpired up until now...what else could explain it?
He took to unclaimed terra with wild abandon, parting with a mournful howl. I'll be back soon, he promised. Just how soon was up to the electricity pulsing through him at the reminder of those colossal fangs, those long talons, that towering physique. How could he return with fear in his heart and doubt on his mind? This, he ached to do away with. Wandering until exhaustion might be an answer, however idiotic. Having climbed down the southeast face of Shadow Mountain and skirted along Blackfoot Forest, he now stood on the threshold of Wapun Meadow. Digits teased wilting wildflowers in mindless amusement. He has since passed through the black cottonwood trees, presently treading the line between wood and meadow. Where was he going? Anywhere would be nice, but now that he was here...maybe he could check up on Sca –
Scarlett's scent hit him like a ton of bricks. Other odors mingled, but the albino's was prominent. Also, the origin of the smell was prepubescent; no older than a few months. Gaze sweeping over the meadow, he spotted something. A wolf. Not of Bearclaw Valley. But then, where...? A flailing limb appeared beneath the stranger. Pulse quickened. Was he...what was he doing? Was he playing with her? Another appearance from an outstretched limb and he was off, barreling towards the nameless rogue. Tatsuya didn't give two shits if he was assuming the worst, only that what appeared to be going down was not benign. What is it with sickos around here attacking pups?! He wouldn't be surprised if Burke was to blame.
Tatsuya's approach was not quiet. Knowing this, he rushed the assailant from behind, carefully trying to keep himself hidden from view. Perhaps when this sicko hears him coming, he'll second guess brutalizing a damned whelp. And if he doesn't? Then he'll know what it's like to be bulldozed by an umbrageous giant. No mercy.
The young girl had learned from her mother to ignore the things she didn't like. But it seemed this big wolf wasn't very nice to her. Desna looked confused because she really didn't do anything wrong? There was no reason for him to be mean to her. The plump little pup let out a squeak when he jumped toward toward her. She was quick to move the other way but she was still trapped between his paws instead of under his chest. Desna did not like to be trapped and soon struggled and wiggled away from him. She was kicking and running, over all it was really scary. She wasn't afraid quickly but this wolf wolf seemed like he wanted to hurt her for no reason! She let out a howl and barks for help as she tried to get away from the weird male she avoided at first.

She hadn't done anything wrong-- Then she heard paws running her way and she looked over the grass to see a black wolf approaching her. She instantly started crying in fear because this wolf was charging at them. Was he mean too?! "Mommy MOMMY!!," she cried out but her mother could probably not hear her. Her wet hazel eyes then focussed on the dark wolf that went... past her? The darker one was charging at the other not at her. A sigh of relief went through her tiny body. Desna wasn't going to stick around to watch. She wanted to go back to her mommy and daddy. Her plump body rushed through the high grass back to the BCV borders. But then she couldn't thank the wolf that tried to save her. Her mother taught her always to be polite.
what kind of spar are you looking for? Zev will not back down, did you want dice or just a long hand fight?

Zev ughed in disgust when he heard another crash though the brush like an unrefined idiot. The pup was a squirmer but it still did not deter him, the fact she was not using teeth and every means to get away deflated him a little. Had he chosen wrong?
You owe me little whelp, I will come to collect your debt one day. Don’t think this retard saved you The other wolf was harder to ignore and he turned his head slightly to gauge how much time he had left, He’d let the wolf trip over him if that’s what the imbecile wanted; He’d brace and his brute size wouldn’t allow for much movement on his part, tucked to the ground he’d be nothing more then a rock to trip over.

In the moment his attention was drawn away from the pup it managed to squeeze from under his prone form. ugh could this get any worse but as the whelp ran screaming to mommy, Zev felt his strength renew, he’d play with this prey another day.

Zev smiled stood and spun at the same time to face the oncoming brute, whom by now was just on top of him. Zev was an unforgiving force to collide with and he didn’t care if he were wounded unlike most wolves whom had a strong sense of self preservation he had little to none. He was extremely well fed to slightly over weight but that was not to say anything for there was muscle below his layer of fat.

Zev bared his teeth and roared leaping into the attack forcing his weight to offset the others and gnashing his teeth against any pelt that got close enough to his weapons unforgivingly trying to rip and tear. Likely the neck and shoulder where the first thing that was to get close enough to him. He was not the kind to ask questions before or after he just enjoyed the moment and right now he needed to taste blood and spill it in the name of his patron, and his gods.
I'd rather do this without dice. And for the sake of clarity, here's what Tat (the agouti one in this example) is trying to do.
As he tore across the meadow, the pup beneath the raunchy rogue slipped free of his grip. The plump pup wailed, calling for her mother as she fled from sight. Thank goodness. Although she was still nearby, the distance between whelp and rogue put his mind at ease. Desna wouldn't get caught in the crossfire of this impending battle.
Closing in on his target revealed more about the assailant than one could discern from a distance. Firstly, he was huge. Lack of sustenance did not bother this guy. Probably fresh from a pack. If that were true, the Delta would smell it. But then, he would smell a lot of things on this psycho, if he was not covered – head to toe – in blood and grime. So repugnant was his scent did Tatsuya dread biting him. Just...don't swallow and everything will be okay, he mentally jeered. Seriously, how was this sicko so well fed?! Prey could smell him yards – maybe even miles – away. Despite these implausible ruminations concerning the bastard's nutrition, Tatsuya did not slow as he came upon the filthy cretin. His thoughts from thence forth did not remain on the assailant. Rather, the Delta calculated how difficult it would be to skin him alive.
He was a loner, after all. No one would care if he died.
Zev spun around to face him, baring teeth and fanfare. The wolverine thought his opponent would try to get out of the way. Maybe sidestep and sink his fangs into whatever he could lay into. If he got anything. Tatsuya was not a speedy canid, but he has worked up enough velocity to zip past if Zev decided to do just that. Instead, the heathen thought it was a good idea to launch himself into Tatsuya's warpath. Suicidal. All that momentum would come crashing into him. No matter how enormous, fed, or stabilized he was, he was the one who was going suffer severely from this collision, not the Delta.
And collide they did. So intense the contact, Tatsuya felt it rattle his corporal form. His breath was unhindered from impact. However, he paid the price everywhere else. The center of his chest (where the sternum is) began to hurt. No doubt a particularly nasty bruise would form there. Recoil was awfully pricey in engagements such as these, but it was totally worth it; imagine the pain his victim must be feeling right about now. Not wanting to give the cur any leeway during the assault, Tatsuya tried to sink his teeth in the side of Zev's neck. His opponent's bites did little more than trim fur; a bald spot on the side of his neck was all that his opponent inflicted. Close though Zev was to hitting his mark, Tatsuya remained unharmed.
Hunting wasn’t something Zev did often he was, however, a good thief.
Excellent at sniffing out caches and had more fun stealing another predators food from them directly. Perhaps he had a death wish perhaps he was looking for ways in which to die, in this manner on this day he found himself in a fight with a well matched canine. It had been a while since he fought another wolf.

Confusing a grizzly, hell he could do that, pluck it’s food from under it nose, and be off,  that was a thrill.  This, this was sucide... He could tell but the brunt impact, it stuttered though his muscles, he felt it in his bones, nothing broken, (that he noticed immediately anyway) but bruises where bound to well up and cause stiffness when the adrenaline wore off. Ahh adrenaline... his friend and drug. Gods he loved the rush! his breathing quickened not for lack of air but from enjoyment.

Even though he threw himself into the freight train wolf, and even though he was prepared for it, he did not have the velocity to terminate the fools forward momentum. Instead he was forced up onto his hind legs, worse yet the male was in between his front legs. He could hug the other male with his front legs, Grasping the other wolf he could keep their position upright for as long as he could hold them; but all that was going to do was welcome those teeth closer yet to his neck and no matter how hard he tried his body was not like a cougar he did not have the forearm strength to squeeze the breath out of the other nor the flexibility.

He’d have to try to grab flesh and toss the other male down to the ground just before his paws hit, Only then might he gain the upper hand.

A smile slid along his lips allowing the other wolf a few more forward steps. He grabbed the male like he was female hugged him close used as much strength as he could muster. That kept his legs below those jaws and out of reach, hauling the male closer to him, gave the male his neck but he buried his face in the others rough hiding the important bits of his face from easy reach, however this gave the other male full access to his own rough,
His neck with it’s full summer coat coming on to winter coat, it’s mounds of fur waiting to the shed offering just a smidgen more protection against what was likely about to happen. In the split second he offered up his rough while holding onto this male like he was some long lost lover, his teeth tried to make their mark in the very tender spot just in front of the shoulder where the skin was tauter and more muscle lay below. As he grabbed he shoved downward attempting to get the male below him and pinned to the ground, if not pinned the perhaps with a good shake or two to send the point home. He didn’t need this fight to carry on any longer then necessary.
wrapping this up because it is old.

Desna decided against thanking the male. She would never know how the fight would have ended, the most important thing was that she had gotten out from the mean wolf. The little girl ran away, feeling so guilty but nevertheless this was the first time the little female chosen for herself and it probably wouldn't be the last. The dark pup rushed away from the scene back to her mother for safety. If she would go over the borders again she wouldn't go out there without her mommy!

-Fade end! -
