June was thinking about exploring and becoming an outrider. Being an outrider meant exploring and it meant going around and visiting other packs. Although father had said not to go far, The plateau wasn't all that far away and he had told her that there was a pack there. The plateau, and the bay. She had picked the plateau first - not entirely sure FitzDutiful knew that she was intending to visit when she had asked about nearby packs.

Upon arrival, she wasn't quite sure what to do. Was she supposed to sit and wait? Was she supposed to howl? Her howling wasn't very good yet, she had only done it once before in her life and it had barely been audible more than a few steps away.

Regardless, she tried now, the sound that made its way out was shaky; obviously untested and from a pup, it wasn't very strong. Still, she was pleased with her effort and she sat and waited - respecting the borders with distance as her father had schooled her.
Constantine had to begin considering what he wanted as a trade -- soon, he would be ranked as an adult, and he wanted to contribute to the pack as best he could. It was hard to settle on one he wanted to focus on first, and so by default, the youth found himself prowling the borders, stopping every so often to leave a mark, as he had often seen his parents and Dante do.

Loping along, the black-masked wolf paused in his gait, his nose catching the unfamiliar scent of a visitor. A howl rang out then -- shaky, at best, but concise with its meaning, and Constantine tipped his own muzzle back, offering his own clipped howl to notify their visitor that someone was coming.

he couldn't help but notice, first and foremost, that she was in fact, a girl. He withheld any notion of shyness, and lifting his brown figure, the boy strode forward with what he hoped was an air of confidence, his fiery eyes studying her quietly. "Hello," he offered cautiously, his tail waving like a proud banner behind him. "You're on the borders of Blacktail Deer Plateau -- what do you seek here?" He tried to select his words carefully -- he was a representative of his pack, after all.
When the howl returned, June sat herself down and waited - happy that someone had heard her. Not too long after, a dark wolf headed towards her and she found her tail wagging. Her first pack wolf on the borders of another pack! It was terribly exciting and she found herself desperate to do well on her first outrider's mission.

As the brown wolf walked towards her, his scent came across on a sudden breeze and she identified him as a male causing a rush of emotions before she remembered that she had already committed herself to Alastor. No more boyfriends for her; still her eyes assessed him as he, confidently greeted her and asked what she wanted. She also got the name of his pack and was pleased to find herself in her desired location. Her tail wagged slowly.

"Hi" she said timidly, her voice the only thing that betrayed that shyness. His confidence was like a beacon, especially at an age similar to her own. "I from Silvertip Mountain." She paused after her sentence, for she still hadn't the knack of running more than once sentence together at a time. "Came say hi."

Still her tail wagged like the pendulum of a grandfather clock. Tick tock, tick tock.
Her pale fur was attractive – the brightness in her eyes even more do. Constantine was an adolescent male, so of course he noticed these things. She spoke – a hint of baby-ish tone still in her voice, and the boy allowed his muzzle to give a light bob of acceptance to her reasoning.

He eyed her with hidden skepticism, his tail swinging freely behind him as he shifted his weight. “I’m Constantine – what’s your name?” He wasn’t sure entirely she came to say hello to a neighboring pack.. but given she seemed to offer no threat as of yet, he did not rush to shoo her away. That, and she seemed so innocent.
Constantine was the black beauty who had come to greet her, it was an intriguing name and one that June decided to practice before answering the question he had posed to her. It was a habit June had, ignoring a question until she was ready to answer it; even more so if she was distracted by something else. Her tail stopped moving as she tried. "Conniestanceteen." That wasn't quite right. "Constanceteen." Nope. "Constanteen." It was the best she could do and with an almost triumphant smile she turned her mind back to the question.

Ah, the bit she hated. Still, introductions were a thing everyone needed so she told him her name. "June" She smiled, her tail resuming it's wagging. What now? She hadn't thought this through very well. Outrider's were supposed to be messages so maybe she should ask that. "June come get message, take to pops." she told him, deciding that she was best to announce her intentions.
She struggled with his name, and giving a nod after she had pronounced it better than the first time, the black boy tipped his muzzle slightly to the side, his fiery eyes appraising her without guilt. “Connie,” he offered, revealing the nickname his family had bestowed upon him since he had been a puppy. “Nice to meet you June,” he spoke then, his thoughts contemplating what Silvertip Mountain might be like.. and where it was. Casmir might know.

“What kind of message?” Was she seeking specific information? The ebony wolf’s tail gave an idle swing through the air, debating what it was he could share with an outsider – were Silvertip Mountain and Blacktail Deer Plateau even on friendly terms?
What kind of message? This gave June a pause that lasted for too long. She didn't have a clue, she just knew that outrider's were supposed to deliver messages she didn't know what different types existed let alone which she was supposed to be here for. After all, June hadn't been sent. Sticking her tongue out ever so slightly she began to think long and hard, all outward signs of involvement disappeared and she looked almost blank in her expression. It took a good few minutes before anything would register again so any words said to her would be unacknowledged.

Since she didn't have a clue what kind of message to ask for, the little Princess of Silvertip Mountain picked herself up and walked away from the Blacktail Deer Plateau borders. She'd have to wait another day for her outrider experience.
