After their discussion that she would teach the spider of what she knew of poisons—which was mostly everything, given her training was so widespread—and the following morning, she awoke with that intent. First, to find the proper place. An ear flicked as she removed herself from the side of her mate and looked over the sleeping forms of those that shared the space with them. If the spiderling was there, she did not yet acknowledge him or rouse him... and she did not look to hard at the subtly shifting backsides of her pack-mates that told her they slept on.

The alpha female was quiet in her leaving. She had told her mate of her days plans, and so it was no secret that she would be moving on from the densite now. Tonravik no longer minded rising by day; the weather had cooled enough that the sun was no bother to her any longer. A chill breeze swept over her shoulders, and a strange thought came to her as she looked to the treetops of the forest she passed through. It was the Crow Moon.

Tonravik knew very little of the faith. She and her family were heathens. "There are no Gods," her mother asserted, "But you should learn of these, so you may be informed of our enemies." That had been when she was very young. When Tartok was growing but small, and when wolves of the Bay could come to their door or be found in the wilds. They learned of the faith because although her mother had turned heretic, she wished them to have insight into the mind of what might come against them. In the end, nothing ever had. The faith meant nothing to her. She had seen enough proof of her mothers words to know them to be true. Faith was but another foolish hope for one to harbor. Faith in the unseen and unproven, like hope, could kill. It was seen, and it was known.

Idle thoughts. Thoughts awakened surely by her mothers (and Pyrrh's) teachings of poisons and thus, a further peculiar reaching into the past. These musings were not at all betrayed on her features, which remained stoic as her nose breezed over a rock. The thick smell of vegetation was what she followed... Perhaps, today, she would find something new. She threw her head up and called for her subordinate, inviting him to come to her now. If there was a place to find, they would do so together.

The spider had come to the den doorstep earlier than originally intended. The night had been bitter cold and unproductive in sleep. Without slumber to pass the quiet time by, the inky wolf had gone hunting for his leader. The slumbering mass had been devoid on Tonravik. Undaunted, the follower picked up the faint scent of the mountain female and began journey within her wake.

The call only solidified the correct path, ears preening the dusky light for the figure of the scarred alpha. She hadn't been too terribly far ahead and announcement of presence was merely a flicker of fiery eyes and nothing more. Silently, the subordinate fell in line with his larger companion, curiosity reigning over the landscape for any clue of what was intended to be the first lesson. While there was knowledge of poisons, the tall-legged Eta could not begin to fathom the multitudes of variety that the Teekon had to offer.

Ears swiveled faintly, plucking trail along his leader's flank and awaiting orders.
