@Regipre and/or @Sart maybe? :3

Desna looked around the forest, this was her new home apparently. She was still not sure about it but since her mommy said that there would be other wolves to play with she decided that it might not be too bad. She let out a howls, short puppy howls just to see if anyone around her wanted to play. Nook was acting terribly different lately and Desna wasn't sure if she liked it. Sesi was another story because for her smaller sister she had to be a big sister. Now she just wanted to play. Her mommy was different too, she didn't wanted to play either.

The girl looked around the forest from the clearing she was in. Her big ears perked up and listening to her surroundings. Was anyone coming? Would she need to go and look for them? Was this a game of hide and seek? She wasn't sure. She pushed herself to her feet. Even though she was a rather fat pup she liked her activity. Desna was probably the most social of all Scarlett's children. Her tail was close to always wagging.
She couldn't find Sart. She wasn't in the hollow tree. Was she with Reek? More likely, she was off being an airhead somewhere, oblivious to the constant threat, particularly with all the new wolves here. It occurred to Regipre that her sister might have been killed during her absence, though she came across a fresh scent trail and refused to believe. It did inspire her to continue searching, foregoing food and rest until she could locate Sart.

A youthful, playful howl rose into the air. For a split second, Reggie thought it must be her sister. She began to ran toward the sound when it struck her: that wasn't Sart's voice. Nonetheless, the young coyote prowled forward, yellow eyes combing the forest for the caller. When she spotted her, she immediately darted behind a tree, then peeked around the trunk to gaze inquisitively at the sooty wolf pup.

Of course, Reggie didn't play. She didn't trust even a small wolf like this one. But perhaps Sart, hearing the invitation, would come out of the woodwork. Then Regipre could intercept her sibling and usher her out of these woods before this cub's parents and the rest of the pack fattened them up and ate them for Christmas dinner.
Desna turned when she saw a flash of something. It was rabbit colored. Instantly the dark colored pup thought that it was a rabbit! This was her chance! Her hazel eyes instantly glinted with excitement as she moved in her stalking mode. She was getting pretty good at it. Desna was very friendly but that was something the other pup didn't know. Desna saw the rabbit then peak from behind the tree trunk. Was that even a rabbit? She didn't see the long ears.

The girl trotted forward. "Hey!," she called out. "Hey! I am Desna!" Because now she realized that the rabbit didn't smell like one. Desna excitedly hopped forward towards the big tree. "Wanna Play?," she called out. Her plump body trotted closer, looking rather excited to spot a new friend like her mother told her. Desna saw everyone as her friend.
In spite of her efforts to remain barely visible, the dark cub spotted her. Reggie's ears flattened as she withdrew behind the tree. She heard little footfalls coming closer and frowned. Before she could slither around the trunk and get away, the young wolf accosted her. That's what it felt like, anyway. She came quite close, loudly shouting about playing.

"No," Regipre replied coldly. I want to be left alone, her expression said. She didn't say it out loud as she studied the young stranger's features. Where had she come from anyway? Had Reek and Saena had pups while she was away? Could it happen that fast? It didn't feel right. More likely, Reek had scooped up some more strays, only this time they were actually wolf pups. Surely they would be much more welcome here. Maybe Reek would even forget about the pair of coyote sisters.

On that note, Reggie asked, "Have you seen my sister, Sart?" She looked a lot like Reggie, only smaller, but she thought that went without saying and didn't mention it aloud.
Desna's ears fell back once the other stated 'No'. The girl stepped forward and tried to sniff her out. She didn't have much knowledge about personal space since the only other pups she met were her siblings. She only stayed to sniff though, she didn't linger. Sister? Desna shook her head. "You are the first of you," she pointed out. "Because what is you?," she asked.

The wolf cub could see that she was some form of a canine but she looked... different than an actual wolf. She had a bit of a fox look. That was it! Maybe she was a fox. But she wasn't red. Desna tipped her head in confusion. She felt so big compared to the other. She let out a yip. "Still don't wanna play?," she asked.
She sighed. Her face then scrunched slightly when the wolf insisted on invading her personal space. Regipre made a point of moving away from her and taking a seat perhaps a yard and a half away. She hoped the wolf cub would get the message and stop trying to get so close.

"Coyote," Reggie answered, unaware that she spoke the Dothoran word for her species. "No," she added emphatically when the other young girl repeated her request to play. "Play is for babies," she said, a jab she would never have said in front of an adult. But she didn't fear the wrath of this young wolf. She didn't seem the type anyway.
Desna instantly moved forward when the other moved away. She wanted to push her down on the ground and lick the other because she looked like she needed some cuddles and licks. Desna knew this from Sesi after all, though that was her sister. Desna's tail was still wagging even though she didn't understand the word the other was saying about her species.

"But we babies," she pointed out. "I am a big and strong baby! You needs more plays!," Desna stated on one of her bossy tones. Desna, as forward as she was, jumped on the other pup since she couldn't handle the anticipation of waiting.
The wolf cub pointed out that they were babies. Reggie wanted to lift her lip at that. Her eye twitched but she maintained a stoic expression as she answered, "No. I am not a baby." The words had barely left her mouth when Desna sprang at her, taking the young coyote by surprise and effectively tackling her to the ground. She was big and strong indeed.

Regipre squirmed until she popped out from beneath the larger canine, then gave her a ruffled look of reproof. "Don't touch me again." It wasn't said particularly nastily, more flatly than anything. "I don't want to play," she added, trying to make it abundantly clear that she wasn't being coy. Reggie genuinely didn't have any use for things like play.

Sart would have played but she was missing. Reggie turned to slink away in search of her when a thought struck her. She stopped and turned to face Desna again. "I need to find my sister. Do you want to help?" She paused. "We can make it into a game." Surely that would get her attention... and get her off Reggie's back (literally).
Desna laid on her belly since the other had squirmed her way from under her. The dark girl looked so confused as the other didn't want the play. Her hazel colored eyes glancing over the other with a frown. The girl thought that it would be fun to play but the other didn't. Then she suggested about a game of finding her sister but Desna didn't feel like helping the unfriendly and non-playful pup. Her dark ears fell back.

"If you want my help you need to be nice," she pointed out and raised her chin a bit. "You not want to play before but now you do buts that is only nice for you," she pointed out. "You use me," she huffed. Desna was rather bossy she would listen to adults but this pup was clearly not an adult so she wasn't going to listen to that. But then Desna just lost her brother... She kinda missed him. Her eyes were showing her struggle. "Where did you see her last?"
Despite her obsession with playing, it seemed Desna was quite clever; she quickly caught onto Reggie's ploy, calling her out on it. The coyote pup frowned thinly. Were she the more expressive type, she might have rolled her eyes. Instead, she simply took a patient breath, then decided all of this was just a massive waste of time.

"Never mind. I'll find her myself," she said. Before the wolf cub could possibly react to this announcement, the sylphlike coyote darted away into the underbrush. She had lived here a while now and was quite familiar with the terrain, whereas Desna was quite new. Regipre was confident she could give her the slip, even if the puppy attempted to give chase, and she could get on with her search for Sart.

My last post, methinks! Thanks for the thread and sorry Reg is such a poor sport. ;)
All good! Thanks for the thread! :3

Desna frowned as the pup wasn't as friendly as she thought she would be. The dark plump girl didn't feel bothered to follow her. She liked to do her own thing and not be used. Those kind of wolves weren't her friends. This was a wise lesson for her, since she saw others as friends to easily. Her hazel eyes turned a bit more strict from now on others should totally work to be her friend. Desna was very pleased with that thought.

The other sped away, Desna didn't not have her speed yet, frankly she was rather slow and sluggish for her age. Maybe her plumpness had something to do with it. Still, that was not something Desna was insecure about. She was very active in exploring and doing things at her own pace. The girl moved into another direction, letting the weird fake-wolf pup do her own thing too.
