Ever since he stepped foot on these grounds it was all work no play. The agenda was strict: fill the caches and patrol. That was all he ever did these days. For hours he would hunt, filling up the storage and get rid of rotten things. After a days worth of hunting he would do a night patrol, marking the borders every so often.

Today was no different. He had finished hunting early, dragging a female deer in his jaws. Its leg was injured and its herd had abandoned her. Easy kill. It took awhile to drag the beast to on of there caches. His jaws loosened its grip when he reached one and he rubbed his fur against the the prey's to show he had killed it. That's what he did with all the kills, to ensure Burke would know he was carrying out his tasks.

He was lost in the animal's fur. Indigo eyes were cut into slits and his movement became sluggish. The exhaustion was taking over his body and he couldn't stop it. Instead he embraced it and let his legs fall under him. Eyelids fell over and soon he was asleep.
