For Osprey, but anyone else is welcome!

Wet snow was falling, splattering softly onto the branches of the trees over Rhodri's head. It was midafternoon, and the aspiring gamekeeper had just woken from a nap. He wasn't usually one to sleep during daylight hours, but he had found it difficult to get a good night's rest since becoming a member of the pack. It had nothing to do with the pack itself, but it was the first time the Ostrega had been away from his family -- and though he tried to put on a brave and confident face, he was beginning to feel lonely.

He rose and stretched, shaking the accumulated powder from his back as he stepped out onto the snowcovered path. There were many trails crisscrossing through the trees, and he was trying to acquaint himself with all of them. Drowsily, he began to move, stifling a yawn and blinking bleary eyes against the snowfall.
It was almost a week, since Osprey had arrived at the Blacktail deer plateu and made her decision to stay here for now. Reunion with her brothers had gone very well and once again she was happy to live among her dearest family members, be useful to them and hopefully help to overcome the rift that had appeared between Crete, Atticus and Peregrine.

She had needed a day or two to have a rest from her long journey, but very soon she was up and going about. Eager to meet and become good friends with every soul in this pack. She wanted to blend in completely, to feel the same way she had felt in the Falcons, during the time her parents had reigned - she wanted to belong.

This morning she had been lucky enough to hunt down a rabbit and make a meal out of it. She was in a mid-meal, when she noticed a wolf about her age walking nearby. "Hey," Osprey called out to him or her (it was hard to tell from the distance), raising to her feet and going after him. "Wait!"
The sleepy Rhodri didn't expect to hear a voice call out for his attention, so when the sound initially echoed off of the trees around him he ignored it. He continued to saunter along, another yawn splitting his jaws wide. There was a second cry -- "Wait!" -- and this time he paused as though his ears were opening for the first time. He glanced around, allowing his vision to focus, and saw that he was being approached by another wolf.

She was of average height and weight, and her coat was comprised of a mixture of grey hues. The Omicron waited as she had requested, his posture neutral as he watched her close the physical gap between them. As she drew nearer, he inhaled deeply, registering her as a packmate. Upon closer inspection, her dusky eyes caught his interest, and though they seemed strangely familiar, he couldn't quite identify why. "What's up?" he said genially, his bottlebrush tail stirring behind him.
"Now you look like a sunshine," Osprey said, once she had caught up with the guy and had had a good first look at him. His coat color was very unusual - it was a bit like her mom's, except with a golden hue. And his eyes... his eyes were like liquid honey she could drown in. All in all he was the handsomest of the guys she had met here so far. Get serious! She told her giddy-self and to get over with it more quickly she turned her head away and yawned, thus calming herself down.

"Sorry," she apologized, in case she had insulted him with her exclamation. She knew very well that none of her brothers would have tolerated to be called a sunshine. "I am new here. Wanted to say hello," Osprey went on explaining. "Name's Osprey - who are you?"
