All welcome!

Pietro was so bored, all day, almost everyday. He had spent some well deserved quality time with his father. Peeing on trees was always good fun. @Kendra was always fun, and he could easy resort to her for some fun, but he felt bad always bugging her. Like anyone, she probably wanted some alone time. He wanted to see what there was to see, smell what there was to smell. He walked into the clearing of the den and looked around for another living soul. He let out an almost silent whimper, his attempt to call out to the world. He knew it wasn't loud enough. He watched a mother finch fly to her nest. Being a pup, Pietro thought what all wolfs think at one point in their life: I bet I could climb that. Pietro walked over to the base of the tree and looked up at the nest. He cried out, much louder this time. Someone had to help him see what was in that nest.
An ear flinched when the eldest of the brothers heard tiny pawsteps growing further outside the den. Although snow made it infinitely harder to hide, Damien had managed to conceal his figures in the shadows as he stood guard near the Spiderlings' Glen. Two very important lives laid in there, and Damien was the first line of defense, and his tasks included, along with restricting entrance, to prevent breakouts. But Pietro did not seem to have any interest in leaving the safety of the clearing, and his attention got stolen by a nest tucked between the tall branches of a thick and snowy pine.

A loud whine demanded Damien's full attention, and seeing no issue with some brotherly interaction, the older male approached Pietro silently and amiably, curious about what his ideas for the nest were.
Pietro turned his small head to see his half brother approaching him. The pup quickly stood up to greet Damien. A pups version of greeting was a tail wag, and a happy face. Everyone caught on eventually. Even slightly older pups like Pietro and Kendra, didn't catch the full extent of a proper greeting. Pietro bounded up to Damien, his eyes were so wide, they looked like they would have popped out of his tiny head. "What is in that tree?" Pietro asked. The tiny sounds of chirping caught his attention every day. The consistency of a bird flying to and fro. The bigger bird that flew around sometimes stopped for a bit, confusing the pup from what he expected from the bird.
I doubt eggs would hatch in the middle of winter...

With excitement, Pietro rushed to greet his big brother as soon as he noticed his presence. The tail wag and the glimmer in his eye was familiar enough for Damien to recognize that Pietro was happy to see him, and it warmed his heart.with so many relatives gone it was nice connecting with the young ones.

"That is a nest, Pietro. Kind of dens, but for birds." he explained looking at the pup's indigo eyes, and loving them instantly. Those were his mother's eyes.
Sorry, I can change If you want.

Pietro listened to his big brother. He shook his head as a snowflake dropped onto his head. As a pup, Pietro loved just about everything, he was too innocent to fully grasp the world was full of hatred. Pietro would have to hold off to learn this. He felt some kind of connection he didn't really get with others, besides his father and sister. Pietro looked back at the older wolf. "I love you." He said. He could understand the power of these words. He knew to only say it to few without being told. He walked forward and curled his head awkwardly into Damien's broad chest.
No that's fine! Let's just pretend it's some kind of arctic species or something :P

And just as quickly as the kid had picked interest in the nest, it banished, and his attention was redirected with a sharp turn. Suddenly, Pietro was attempting some kind of awkward hug thing on Damien's chest, and the older male felt warm. "I love you too, brother," woofed Damien in a low voice, returning the warm gesture to his baby brother.

The love he felt for Pietro was the same love he felt when he first licked Kendra's nose and the same he'd always had for his mother and Potema. It was even very similar to the way he felt towards Burke, but that one hug had helped him realize something. This feeling, this kind of love, it was the exact same feeling he had towards his brother, Cicero.

Damien snapped out of his thoughts when another cold snowflake glided down landing on his nose this time. He looked up and saw that those two had been the first in a snowstorm, and the clouds above were getting darker and more threatening.

"We better get inside before the storm hits." said Damien, and then nudged at his brother's butt to prompt him to going back to the den. Perhaps they could find something fun to do inside this time.
New found species of bird :D

Pietro smiled as Damien responded with his feelings. Pietro had a habit of focusing on one thing then quickly moving on to the next. Pietro didn't know the grief his family went through when his mother passed. He was very young, and the concept of death was not yet clear to him. He recently spend some quality time with his brother Cicero, they played hide and seek. Pietro was confused why his brother urged them to go inside. He was a very stubborn pup like his sister. He very reluctantly walked towards the den, very slowly. His face was drawn to a frowny-pout as he walked inside. The den was much warmer, but it was so much smaller than the outside world he could be running around. The only thing he couldn't think of anything that would be overly exciting to do. He picked up a stick that he tucked it the corner a few days ago. He had been carefully making scratch marks on the bark. He was really proud of it, but to another, it probably looked like he was making tally marks in his jail cell. They were just random deep scratch marks all over a small stick. "Look what I made." he said proudly and held his head up high to give his brother a closer look. Pietro wasn't allowed out of the den very much, so this was kind of a fun change.
The den was spacious, enough for Damien to fit in with the rest of the family if needed, but today it was empty.Neither Kendra nor Burke were inside, which meant the place was all for Damien and Pietro alone. Damien was thinking about getting a nice nap through the snowstorm, but the restless Pietro had other plans.

"Wow," said Damien a bit confused when his little brother brought him a stick that seemed to had gone through a nice gnawing session. It wasn't very impressive, but the kid seemed to be very proud of it so Damien faked amazement. "You spend a lot of time in here, don't you?"
Pietro's eyes grew wide at his brothers show of impression, fake or not. His eyes were wide and shining. Pietro's tail was wagging so fast it seemed it would fly off. He placed it down when his brother asked the question. His eyes grew sad and his ears flattened in embarrassment. He really didn't get out as much as he wanted to, but if it were up to him, he wouldn't sleep and he would be running around starting chaos, so rules had to be implied. He nodded his head. "I wish I could go outside. Daddy says its to cold, but I like the cold." he said, and puffed out his chest and smiled.
Burke seemed to be holding his children back a lot. Damien understood that it was the middle of a harsh winter and that Meldresi wasn't around to look after them anymore, but Damien and his litter had had it way more difficult than the twins. They were born in the middle of the cold winter, their father had abandoned them shortly after and the pack was just starting to gather followers. they were more vulnerable, and nothing happened to them (of course there was the Grimnir incident, but he wasn't there anymore...). Perhaps that needed to change.

"You like the cold, huh?" said Damien with a wicked smile. "How about we brake some of your dad's rules and go play in the snow for a while?" he suggested, oblivious that these words could cause devastating influences in the little boy's personality. The snowstorm was still a few minutes away, so it was safe to run around a little until the heavy storm started falling.
Pietro, even as a young pup, would rather take the harsh ways than be cooped up inside the stuffy den, watching life happen outside. Pietro quickly nodded at his brothers proposal, and scampered out of the den. Pietro looked around at all the white stuff his den was lacking. He jumped around, making paw prints as he went. This is what he missed, he wasn't able to run around outside much, and there was nothing to do inside. These few moments would surely have to be savored, because even he could sense a storm was coming.
Pietro was quick to go outside. He was excited and Damien was happy he could do something to lift his baby brother's spirit a little. Not that he needed it, it seemed like anywhere he was or in whatever situation he found himself, Pietro had always had something to be excited about, but Damien simply couldn't stand the way Pietro pouted when he was told he had to go back inside. He reminded Damien of himself at that age and even long before. He was restless and had always wanted to explore the outside world. The den was simply not large enough to contain Damien's curiosity, and it seemed it was the same with Pietro's spirit.

Damien ran behind his brother and tucked his tail before running the other way. "You're it!" he barked teasing Pietro and encouraging him to chase his older brother. He remembered playing these games with his own siblings as pups, though, it had been a fair match then.
Pietro looked around as he scampered outside. Blackfeather Woods was the best pack to grow up in, even if it was his first and only. He liked being close to his family. He loved the way the woods looked, the caves the territory possessed. His thoughts were snapped when his brother declared a game of tag. Pietro laughed and chased after Damien. It was awkward, but he ran pretty fast, not fast enough to catch Damien. He got a push of speed, and he caught Damien as he slowed down. "Got ya!" he yelled and ran off.
Damien slowed down to even out the battle ground and give a chance for Pietro to catch him, but it didn't take a lot of help for Pietro to come bolting through and tag Damien. It was impressive how fast the kid was even at such a short age, and it caused Damien to gasp in amazement.

Pietro ran off quickly and Damien turned around to chase his little brother. It actually took effort to catch up, but when he did he kept the pace behind Pietro for a moment to let him actually enjoy the game, and then pushed his bun towards a snow mound in an attempt to tackle him.
Pietro squealed in happiness as his brother attempted to catch up to him. His long lengthy legs and his need for speed caused his extreme running habits. He had gotten used to his legs, before, he was awkward and falling over. Pietro felt his brother tackle him, after blindly driving him into a trap. He quickly tried to wiggle out of his brothers grasp, but no luck. He waited for the words his brother would say, the ones that made the game fun, but the ones he only wanted himself to say. You're it!
OMG that's what we need to call our next thread!
NEED FOR SPEED
btw, this will be my last post... It seemed like a right place to finish :3

Pietro was successfully tackled down into the snow pile, and immediately, Damien jumped right behind him, landing in the soft and cold snow himself and joining Pietro's joyful laughter with some of his own. It had been too long since Damien felt this happy, and he simply loved Pietro for helping him forget about real life for a moment. He really needed it these days.

Damien awaited a little more before saying the anticipated words that made the game exciting, building up on the hype and savoring the moment of success for a little bit longer. And then he whispered to the kid's ear... "You're it." and ran off once again. They needed to enjoy this moment, for as soon as the storm hit, Damien would have no choice but to put Pietro back in the safety of the den.
Heh! Totally! These two need more threads...

Pietro shuddered when he heard the words he hated, but loved. It was confusing. Pietro laughed and sprinted off after Damien. It seemed the two boys really clicked, they should spend more time together. It seemed everyone was in a fairly good mood when they were around Pietro, he thought that was just how it was. He didn't know the struggles people had to face, and the struggles he would have to face as he grew. But he was just a pup for now, and these days will be cherished until he dies. Small memories will make a scrapbook in his mind, and one day, it could be a few years down the road, he will remember these moments with ones he loved, family in particular.
