all welcome for all STM members :D

It had been about a day since his acceptance into Silvertip Mountain and the adopted Greek was more than eager to go meet a few packmates; he had been a loner way too long and he craved the company of his own kind. It wasn't like his foster brother or father were boring but it was just the two of them and he wanted to be part of a pack, where he could be more than a young son or a big brother. Don't get him wrong, he loved them very much but he wanted some excitement and he wasn't going to get it by taking care of Alexander and Halt until they either left or die. The blue-eyed wolf was sure his destiny had more to it than that.

Following a scent trail, Will padded silently through the woods, muscles rippling underneath a sleek ebony coat and bright cobalt blue eyes as alert as ever. He slunk through the shadows unseen and utterly silent, paws sinking into the snow. It wasn't bright in the forest today as the sun had been seemingly blocked out by thick gray clouds. It's going to rain soon, Will thought to himself as he casually walked through the packlands, genuinely hoping to meet someone interesting.
Hi! Just wanted to come and meet the new pack member!

Staying at home base was not a biggie for the tawny woman. She enjoyed being out and about the pack lands, it was not really that bad to stay home bound for a little bit. After her encounter with the lone at the border, Krypton felt as if she was weak and a coward to not fight the intruder. Was it wrong she wished to solve things under a peaceful manner?Even if it was, she could not fight off the thought that it could have been a dangerous situation. If that lone was aggressive, she cold of blasted through Krypton and harmed other pack members. Eaten the food, killed the young- no she couldn't bare to think of that.

The burly female snarled at the idea, no one was going to hurt her family. She was sure she would not take the trade of a mercenary, that would be a mistake. She hoped that her trade of being a medic and a scout for her pack will help. It was quite ironic however that a wolf her size wouldn't be boasting with confidence to fight. If anything, she was a mouse in a lion's body. She hated fighting, it brought up bad memories from her past she wished to dispose of.

Walking around the land, not very loud (considering she had been practicing to walk quieter), she was wandering around aimlessly. However, something wafted into her nose and made her mind screech to a halt. At first the female couldn't tell what it was, but her mind got a grip and noted it was a wolf. A foreign smell, something new.

The female first didn't know what to do, but decided to pick up a quick trot and head over towards the scent. If she saw that wolf, she would quickly take action of demanding who they were. She couldn't harm someone until they proved to deserve it. If this wolf makes the move in attacking, the woman wouldn't be afraid to fight back and call for back up. Her eyes scanned around to find the unknown wolf, her long legs covering the ground with ease.
:D

There was a certain grace in which the swarthy youth carried himself; proud but knowing his place, emitting an aura of quiet strength and dignity, eyes bright with humor and gentle amusement, posture showing his confidence, tail flicking amiably behind him and he walked with a certain sort of silence, blending expertly into the tall shadows the trees cast around him and only piercing, dark, cobalt blue eyes showed that he was even there in first place. The wolf walked with purpose, paws carving deep indents in the pure white snow as he moved and inhaled the cold sweet scent of the fresh winter air.

Then the wind blew, bringing him the scent of an unknown. Will stopped in his steps, tilted his head slightly upwards and inhaled, black leathery nostrils flaring as he sniffed and analysed the scent. It was a female, and from this pack, so there wasn't anything to worry about. Relaxing his tense muscles, the adopted Greek began moving forward casually, sure that eventually he would see his packmate and sure enough, less than ten minutes later, he caught sight of her form. She was tall, but not as tall as him, cloaked in a pelt of browns, tans and gray agouti fur. Her eyes were a pale green mixed beautifully with yellow swirls and she was obviously built for strength.

A gentle smile graced his handsome features as he bowed respectfully, tail low but still waving amiably to show that he was friendly. His ears were slightly back in a submissive position. She should probably smell Zaria's scent on him and the pack scent in general so he trusted her not to attack him as he waited for a response from his pretty superior.
The large woman kept her trot pace quick, her paws made more noise than she had liked, but a bit better noise wise than before. Her eyes continued to search for the owner of the new scent, but as she came closer, the scent was changing. At first whiff it was foreign, but as it got stronger, she could smell Zaria upon the scent. The owner must be apart of the pack or at least have been close to Zaria.

That was a bit of relief, she would not have to quickly take action on the aggressive side. She decided to continue her search for the unknown pack mate and meet him. He was new, she should meet him, right? There was no wrong in it, her eyes finally landed upon a dark colored pelt. She couldn't see much at first, but her trot slowed down as she made her way closer to him.

She could see his coat, a very dark shade, black was the only color she could think of. His fur reminded her of the ravens and crows, it was sleek and held onto the same shade. His eyes, the bluest of blue she had ever seen. When she went to the sea, his eyes almost matched the color, but just a tad darker. He was huge in her opinion, taller than herself, and that was rare at times. She could tell he was built for a brawl such as herself, a few points of muscle peaked out towards her keen eyes. In her eyes, the male was quite attractive, he looked to be around the same age as herself.

Krypton kept her pace and saw him take a bow to her, that made her feel respected. Most never really bowed to her, but considering her position, she guessed she sort of deserved it. Somewhat at least. His tail was lower than hers, but it was wagging a manner that showed he was pleased to see her. That was good, she was happy to meet a new face around the pack territory.

"Hello." She spoke with a kind voice, yet it held onto her monotone. It was just a habit to speak in one, she couldn't fight it off at times. "The new recruit, yes? What is your name?" Krypton asked the handsome male, her shoulders straight and head lifted a little higher than his to show her dominance over his ranking. Her tail was a little raised, but had a little wag in it as well.
Truthfully, it was hard for Will to seem shorter than Krypton as he was, after all, exceptionally tall even for a male wolf. But somehow, he managed it, and was rather proud of himself although it wasn't really something to be proud of because truth to be told, he was a rather dominant creature even though he worked well as a subordinate. However, he knew he couldn't rise up the ranks quickly and so he settled with being a subordinate for a while. He had lost all his youthful pride when after Alexander's berating; he was wise now, he knew how to play these games.

The girl greeted him with a simple hello and asked him what was his name. Will lifted his proud ebony crown, dark blue eyes grazing her gaze with his own intense one for a moment, a dastardly handsome smile creeping up his features once more as he replied in his absurdly deep baritone, "Yeah. I'm William, William Archer but everyone calls me Will." He flashed her a grin and bent his foreleg as well as his head in an almost royal-like manner. "What about you?" Will asked her curiously, straightening himself to his full height as he smiled gently at her.
The tawny girl had her ears perked up towards the male, they flickered like a dancing flame. His response, a deep voice, spoke of his full name, William. However he told her his common name, Will. It was a nice name to the female's ears, it rolled off the tongue nicely and suited him as well. In her most honest opinion, it sounded regal, and to her, Will was a spitting image of royalty. Dark fur but eyes that seemed to shimmer the tiniest to her, he looked as if he belonged to the pack of Black Feather Woods almost (in a non-murderous sense).

She had met a queen once, a viking queen from a a very different culture. Gyda was her name, a very regal and honorable woman. In Krypton's eyes, Will looked as if he was some King or rather Prince (considering his looks of a young age). She gave him a nod of her head and heard him ask for her name as well.

"I am Krypton." The tawny woman replied in a short sentence, she wouldn't expose her birth name. No, she hadn't done that to anyone here, only the ones that know are her family, and she hadn't contacted them in over a year. It's not like she wanted to anyways, her feelings were still quite bitter. That would not matter though now, it was the past and something she could change later on if she dared to venture back to her homeland.

"You would probably like to see the territory now, eh?" She spoke nicely towards him, but her once flat tongue had let its natural Canadian Accent slip. The burly woman felt a little flustered to let her accent slip a little, but that was that.
The tawny girl was pretty in the sense that she seemed strong; tall and strong, burly and protective. He could see she was probably a valuable asset to Silvertip Mountain. But then again, he didn't know much about her so he shouldn't make any false assumptions, however he would like to get to know his packmates and she was a good start. "Krypton," Will experimented with the name, feeling it rolling down his tongue smoothly and he flashed a genuine but still charming grin at her. "Nice name," he told her sincerely. "Will can be too plain sometimes."

Black velvety ears swiveled and pricked when he heard a rustle in the bushes nearby. Turning his proud crown aside as his black nostrils flared and inhaled the scent of....rabbit, he shrugged to himself and turned his attention back on his packmate. When Krypton next spoke, Will caught a hint of an accent that had not been present before and cocked an eyebrow curiously, dark cobalt blue eyes shining with the inquisitiveness of a fox. "You have an accent, it sounds nice," was all he said however, not wishing to pry in what could be a personal topic because why else would she hide her accent?

"Yes, I'll like to see the territory," Will replied with a crooked smile. Zaria had led him to the most important parts of Silvertip Mountain but the adopted Greek had yet to see the rest of the territory and while he had been looking to explore the entire place by himself, he was more than glad to have some company. It was better than being alone and ending up talking to himself out of boredom and risk sounding like a madman to any of his packmates nearby. That was a risk he did not really want to take. He had already been called 'stupid' affectionately as a nickname by Halt and Alexander, he didn't need a nickname that was worst than that.
This will be a bit harder for me to do, Canadian accents are foreign to me, especially because I don't wanna make it sound stereotypical. Bare with me as I fail horribly :D

The tawny girl's ears flicked a bit in annoyance at her tongue slipping over her words, damn that stupid accent of hers. It wasn't really anything she was ashamed to have, but having the accent was sometimes hard for others to understand her. In Canada, many other wolf packs along with the wolves themselves spoke differently. The entire wordplay was a whole different ball game, not many could understand what they said at most times.

Hearing Will's compliment about her name, the woman smiled at him, her tail wagging a bit more. His smile was very generous to her, but it almost had a bit of a suave personality to it. She laughed in her conscience before being brought back to attention. Will told her about how his name was quite a common one, she shook her head slightly. "Even if it is, it least sounds like it belongs 'ere. Krypton is a hard name to grasp for others 'round Teekon." And it happened again, stupid accent. She tried to keep her formality, but her monotone just wouldn't stay with her. Why was it acting up now? She had gone months without letting it slip, just why now?

However, even with an embarrassing accent, most could understand her, and Will compliment about it made it a little more bearable. When the male said he would like to see the territory, the woman happily obliged with a nod of her head. "Coarse you'd like to see the territory. Come on then, follow me." She turned around to where she came and decided to start to head around the trails that led towards the den sight and the borders, it would be important for him to know them.
It's fine :D

A gentle smile graced his packmate's face, and Will grinned back in return, glad to know that she wasn't a robot and had feelings. For a moment, he had been afraid he'd been greeting an extraterrestrial creature instead of someone that was on the same planet he was on. Why am I joking even in my mind? Honestly, what is wrong with you, Archer? He frowned internally and told himself off in his head before turning his attention back on the tawny agouti. With a tilt of his head, he commented on how common his name was and noted how she shook her head and told him in her same accent that at least it sounded like it belonged here.

Will then lifted a shoulder in a shrug. "Trust me, it's better to have strange names than to have names that sound like 'it belongs here'. I would have changed my name if I didn't know the origin of why my adopted father called me that." He was telling the truth. If Alexander hadn't told him why he named him William and called him Will after he had amnesia, he would have actually changed his name to something more exotic like his adoptive brother, Halt. Better than boring old Will anyday.

Krypton turned around to where she'd came and began to head off. Will followed, but not without a hesitant stop in his steps when he took a few steps. After that, however, his pawsteps became the same smooth, graceful, panther-like steps he always made. "It's a nice piece of territory you got here," he told her as he walked, curious to what her response would be.
Hearing his remarks about the name he possessed, Krypton felt a little curious about his past. His adoptive family? Sure, there were animals who became adopted if their parents were in sickness, had died, etc. It was nice to have names that were different, unique. But sometimes common names are what save others. She would let him win the conversation though, no point in arguing right now anyways, she was supposed to show him around.

The woman's pace was nice and even, a bit slower so the other could catch up. Seeing that he did quite nicely, she resumed her normal speed. His kind words about the land made her nod her head, a gentle smile grace her features. "Yes, a very nice piece 'a land" she offered him. She took a quickly glance around to make sure they were going the correct way before bringing her attention back to the path. The den sight was starting to draw in a little close with every step, it was quite large and had a very natural, earthy entrance. Caked with dirt and rock on the outside, but quite comfy on the inside. "Up ahead is the den sight, not much to any onlooker, but step inside and you just get lost in thought ya know?" She looked towards the den and felt very calm in the sight of it.

However, some parts of her feared the den, mostly since her nightmares were vented into that area. However, Will was the most important thing to worry about now rather than her lack of sleep. Both became very close to the entrance before stopping in front of it. Krypton let out a soft sigh of happiness, her smile still on her face.
If Will knew what Krypton was thinking, he would have laughed out loud. Not in a sarcastic or rude manner, but a genuine laugh of surprise. How would common names 'save others' exactly? Will would rather use words or claws and fangs to save himself than use his absurdly common name. Sometimes, he really did not understand others, but then again, it was that, that drawn him to other wolves, so it was, he supposed, a good thing. Luckily for Krypton, however, Will was not a mind reader and so he remained peacefully ignorant of his tawny agouti companion's thoughts. He caught up easily with her; having long legs were a real advantage most of the time.

Will opened his mouth, then closed it again. He was going to ask where they were heading but at the last moment, decided against it, thinking that perhaps, it was just better to go with the flow and let someone else take the lead for once. They walked in companionable silence before Krypton spoke, telling him that up ahead was the den site. "Yeah, I think I know," he replied with his signature crooked, yet still rather charming smile, eyes narrowed slightly as he gazed curiously at the nearing site in front of him. Eager to see it for the first time.

"You like it here, don't you?" Will asked her, gazing amiably into her eyes, not in disrespect, but simply out of genuine curiosity. "It's peaceful."
Krypton's content smile altered a little, remembering her demons' spawn points were locked into the den, or rather any place she would care to sleep in. Her attention turned to Will, his reply of understanding her was very important to the woman. That was an attribute she looked in others and tried to keep in herself, understanding others. She nodded her head, happy he got where she was going.

Will's second question brought the tall woman to focus a little sharper. Like the den area? Of coarse she liked it, who would not like their place to sleep? Krypton saw his crooked, but very charming smile flash at her. She laughed a little nervously at his question and shifted her weigh from one to another. "Ehe, you could say that. But yes, a very peaceful place indeed." Her words were 100% sounding, but in her mind she was unsure a bit. But that was for her to know, unless she talked to Alastor more, he was the other one who knew about her... condition.

Swiftly she started to head towards another trail that would lead towards Verde Falls. That was a nice place to relax, not to mention all of the fresh herbs that grow there for any wolf to pick and use. She let her muzzle give a little sweep motion for the dark subordinate to follow her.  "This way. Justa little stretch to get to Verde Falls. Most of our water flows 'en there, along with herbs we use."
If someone asked Will for his best quality, he would have answered that he was observant, very observant; his keen eyes able to spot almost literally anything that was out of place and it wasn't just useful when he was out hunting for he was able to note the changes in a wolf's facial expression and gauge what was wrong. Will didn't know how he managed it, but he assumed it was because of his deep empathy causing him to want to help others, except for strangers.

A small frown creased his brow for a brief second when she laughed, a tinge of nervousness evident in her voice and the way she shifted her weight between her paws caused him to worry a bit about her. There was something troubling his pretty tawny agouti packmate, and he wanted to know what it was so he could help her. But it wasn't that easy. Krypton wouldn't just tell anyone; first he had to grow close to her, talk with her, be friends with her, and perhaps, then, she would trust him enough to allow him to help her. But for now, Will's expression remained amiable, making sure his companion did not notice the fact that he had notice her discomfort.

"Yeah it is," Will replied to her in his deep baritone, almost absentmindedly gazing at the den place around him, a small part of him suddenly feeling nostalgic as he remembered his natal pack when his parents were still alive and his childhood was full of happiness; when he knew nothing of misery, loneliness and pain. He shook himself out of those thoughts, however and focused, instead on her. Not wishing to ruin their amiable talk by drifting away into his own world.

With a nod, Will fell in step beside her, content for the companionable silence to stay that way until further notice.
The woman saw a small frown form onto the dark man's face, but it quickly changed back to his normal expression. Krypton was a little confused at first, why would he frown upon the den sight. Damn, he probably saw right through her words. He probably reads others like an open book! The female fought down a surprised facial expression but kept her mind ahead.

As she headed down the trail, Will fell into the same speed as her, she appreciated a wolf who could keep up with her long strides. As they headed down the trail, Krypton felt a few drops of water hit the top of her fur. Quickly it bristled and her ears swiveled a bit. She thought it was rain, but she shook off the idea. She brushed it off to be just snow and continued on the trail until the falls came into vision.

Still clearly running and fresh, the wind blew a light breeze that showed steam floating around the water. The sound was tranquil to her, a few plants still grew, including a feverfew flowers and mint leaves. "Lots of the herbs we use grow around 'ere, fresh water always circulating, pretty nice area. If you ever hear anyone ask you to find herbs, run down to the falls to check first." The woman was still trying to acquire her trade of being a caretaker, especially a healer. She hoped she would not have any calls about sickness or pain, but she would always be there if they needed her.
Thoughts swirled through his head as they walked towards the falls in silence. He was rather worried for Krypton which might be strange for others as he had literally just met the girl but he started to care for other people really quickly, especially when he knew they would be packmates and that they needed to start trusting each other. It was hard for Will to keep his words in, or his actions for that matter but somehow he managed and kept quiet all the way.

When they finally arrived, Krypton began speaking, telling him that lots of herbs grew around here and that there was always fresh water. Will nodded when it was appropriate and flashed her a smile, showing that he understood what she was saying and not simply daydreaming and lost in his thoughts. "Do you want to be a healer?" he asked her thoughtfully. "The trades, I mean," Will added as an afterthought, shifting his weight between his paws as he inhaled softly.
After giving Will a brief description, she saw him flash another smile, he was listening to her. Good, she appreciated that others listened to her well. His weight was shifted from paw to paw when he asked a question, one about acquiring a trade of being a healer. Observant wolf, huh? She smiled and nodded her head. "Yup, no one here has the trade, and I like being able to help others or myself if need be. The 'what if's' in life can become very scary at times" She spoke softly, her eyes remained on the flowing water and the tranquil sound that surrounded them, although it was quite cold out. She made a mental note to be sure to head back to the den site soon to camp from the cold.

"What about you? What kind of trades are you looking to have?" Her swirled eyes cast over towards him, she was allowed to look at him since she was a higher position. She wondered about Will, he looked like he would take the mercenary trade considering his size and stature.
Will nodded, understanding why she wanted to obtain the medic trade. In his mind, a pack should always have a healer because wolves would inevitably get injured and if no one knew how to heal wolves, their wounds would fester and they could die. Will didn't think that was a good, honorable and worthwhile death that was worthy of any wolf and was extremely grateful towards Krypton for making this huge commitment for both herself and the pack. "Good," was all he said, however, being a man of few words.

When she asked him what trades he was looking to have, a look of surprise crossed over his dark features, not expecting her to question him. However, he was more than happy to answer her question and smiled softly, eyes on the distant horizon as he thought of old times. "Mercenary I think," he said thoughtfully in his deep baritone. "And maybe scout. I'm not so sure. I like to play around with these things before I make a firm decision. I don't want to end up pursing something I'm not passionate about because then, I'm no good to the pack."
The dark and regal male had replied with a short answer, Krypton didn't mind though. The canadian woman believed that words that were unnecessary weren't meant to be spoken at all then. She was at least pleased he liked her response. His brow seemed to scrunch up in confusion from her question, but it soon became relaxed with a soft smile upon his attractive features. He answered kindly, thinking about taking the mercenary trade.

The earthy woman expected that from a male like Will. It would be a shame if he didn't use his strong body for good use, like the woman had done herself. Sometimes she thought she was meant to have a smaller body, considering she was a mouse in a lion's body. Sometimes she was quite harsh on herself for not being a warrior like she had been trained to be. Sometimes she felt as if she threw away all of her father's training for nothing except being some weak healer. She thought negatively about herself, bitter ideas flowing in and out before she snapped out of her thoughts and returned her attention to Will.

He spoke about trying, experimenting with the trades. She couldn't agree more, it can't just be one simple choice. One thing as for sure, it's hard to pick only a few. Krypton had thoughts about being a hunter considering she could provide lots of jaw strength and power for finishing attacks for the kill, but she could become so loud when running that, any prey would hear her. She nodded her head at his words. "A scout would be a nice trade, that is my second choice. Maybe if we obtain the trade, we could go scouting together?" She offered this to him with a smile on a silver plate. It would be nice to scout with someone besides herself, sometimes she got lonely going off alone.

With Will, there was something about him she just sort of, clicked with. It was like magnetism, electricity running through her veins. He just was something that seemed to be alike herself almost, different in many ways though. The tall woman smiled at him thoughtfully, but decided to keep going on their little walk together.
Fade and start a new thread?

A crooked smile crept up Will's face, "Why should we wait to obtain the trade first? We could always go scouting together to obtain the trade," he reasoned slyly, a mischievous gleam evident in his dark, cobalt blue eyes as he took a step forward teasingly, playfully closing the distance between them. "It would be fun," he added as an afterthought, the tip of his tail flicking amiably. It was a good offer; he would get to know a packmate more and she would get to spend time with his charismatic self.

Maybe he was going too far here. Whatever.

"Where to?" Will asked, eyes scanning the environment around him as he awaited an answer. This walk was good fun, but he was starting to get hungry, evident by the slight rumbling in his stomach when he spoke. A normal wolf would be embarrassed but Will wasn't a normal wolf, instead, he smirked at her slightly and cocked his head. "Any caches nearby?" he said with a grin.
Sure, I'll go ahead and archive!

His crooked smile was a quick sign that he must've liked the idea. The earthy woman let her ears prick forward at the darker man's words. They could obtain the trade together, that would be fun though! To her, it would mean better chances of survival, recruiting, and higher morale. Sure, adventuring was enough of a joy to do. However, it just got lonely at times being alone on the road. With Will by her side, it would be a bit more doable.

Her eyes flicked towards his body, he had closed the distance between them a little. Normally the woman would flick her tail and let her canine teeth expose themselves in a snarl, but she could see that in his posture, it meant nothing of harm. His tail was still moving, so he was still in a good mood. She let out a short chuckle at his actions, shaking her head slowly and looking down at her paws. "Heh, you move fast ya know?" Krypton smiled at him, quickly shaking out her coat and looking around.

After recovering from her little laugh, the woman heard Will ask about the next location, then about where there were any caches nearby. Normally, a wolf with a little, erm... check-in with reality would be a bit flustered to ask for food from a new member. Will though was... different, in a good way though. She couldn't name him though, prideful? Ignorant? Charismatic?

It would bother her later, but she would focus on him now. "I'm not sure where to head next, but a cache should be a little ways down over there. Don't take too much though, Alpha Zaria won't be too pleased with us, 'specially me." Her voice was kind at first, but tinged with a little fear near the end. She did fear Zaria a little, that was something she couldn't swallow down. Zaria had better body control, more offensive, more aggressive, etc. Krypton had fears about the said woman's snapping jaws around her throat, how bad would it feel? It wasn't that her and Zaria were on poor terms, heavens no. It was just a warning to be wary, especially since she is in heat.

With a sweep of her muzzle, she headed down the trail to find a small cache.
