Pietro was restless in the den. He had continuously be gnawing of the same stick for days leading to weeks. The stick was covered with old and new bites and scratches. He would sometimes dart in and out the den when no one was looking, just to get some fresh air. He wasn't allowed out of the den much because of the cold. He had had it. He barked-howled to @Burke, he wanted to learn how to fight. Not just play fight, he wanted to learn how to fight the right way. He waited impatiently for his father to arrive, already thinking of tactics in his head. He was serious about this, and he was tired to play fighting. He didn't need to learn to draw blood, or anything extreme of that sort, he just wanted to learn positions, and weak spots on the wolf body. This could possibly turn out to be an anatomy lesson with it, you couldn't just learn these things without knowing something about a wolf's body.
Pietro is more than free to roam and explore! He isn't tied to the den at all. He is three months old now so feel free to have him explore/discover things! Burke is from Alaska so I feel like Pietro would have a thick winter coat like him! :D

Burke looked up at the barking howl from his son. He wondered why the pup was calling him but seeing that he had some free time Burke was more than willing to go to him. In fact, now he thought of it, it had been awhile since he and Pietro had been patrolling the borders together. He came to the clearing which the young male didn't seem to be leaving much. Burke wondered if that was good or bad. Kendra was more out of the clearing it seemed but he never really smelled her scent on the grounds. Burke realized that his children were quite peculiar. For now he wouldn't comment on it. He was glad to spend time with his son.

"Pietro," he greeted with a soft hum and licked over the top of his head. Burke was surprisingly affectionate towards his two children. The father wondered what Pietro wanted, maybe he just wanted to hang out and play. Burke looked around for Kendra, she had been here but she was probably out exploring. He was going to limit his children, he felt like after their adventure in the swamps and with the warning about Weeping meadow it was fine for them to explore their territory, get some social skills from pack members.
Oh... Oops :D Sorry, I can change it if you want?

Pietro's call was quickly answered, and was greeted by his father. "Father." he mimicked and dipped his head. Pietro stood tall, hie ears stood to a point. "I would like to learn how to fight. Not play fighting, I would like to learn how to actually fight." He said. Pietro would probably grow up to be a strong fighter. Not only because he started his learning at a young age, but the fact that it was something he would enjoy doing. Pietro glanced to the side, acting all nonchalant about the whole thing. Anyone could see he he was very excited, and the fact he hid it was adorable.
Nah it is fine! But feel free to have Pietro explore the woods! :D

Burke looked down at his son. He was only three months and showed interest in wanting to fight. Normally as pups it was normal to have them play fight. But seeing that Kendra often wasn't too interested in sparring with Pietro Burke could imagine that the pup wanted to learn the real deal. Burke remembered drilling Damien when he was little.

Burke decided that he could practice with Pietro on his dodging technique. It was of vital importance that the youngster knew how to avoid taking a hit and then have the room to put more force behind his next attack. "Today we will learn about dodging. Do you know what that is? It is basically avoiding an attack, create room to give more power for your next attack without getting between the fangs of the one you are fighting."
Pietro nodded, his eyes focused. "So, when another thing runs at you, you move out of the way, and it confuses it, and it gives you a chance to attack them from the side of behind?" he asked. He was still a bit confused, but in time he would become a master, especially with Burke teaching him. He waited for his father to do a fake attack, of explain further on the subject. Pietro seemed to learn better doing hands on activities, rather than sitting listing to a how-to. He spread his legs out a bit, and readied himself for an attack from his father.
Burke looked at Pietro when he described his sparring partner as 'another thing'. The male frowned slightly. "Not another thing, your sparring partner, or worse your enemy," he pointed out to his son. Fighting was very serious business, one could die from injuries. "But yes it works sort of like that. Dodging isn't really to confuse it is to avoid injuries. You are not invincible, I am not invincible. No wolf is. If you are injured early in the fight then it will be most difficult to fight back. Remember that," he pointed out.

Burke looked at his son, still sitting before him. He watched Pietro ready himself for an attack but Burke was doing no such thing. "We are going to practice first. Do as I say. When I say Duck...." Burke bended through his front paws and ducked his head for a second before taking position again. ".. you duck and take your stance like you have now. When I say left or right you jump to that side as fast as you can. Yes?" The teacher was going to give the pup a killer stamina and some fighting techniques. "Okay. Ready. Set. Go! Duck. Left. Duck. Right. Left. Right. Duck. Right. Duck. Duck. Duck. Left. Right. Left. Left. Duck. Right," Burke started to drill Pietro just like he had done with Damien.
Pietro listened attentively. He truly wanted to learn the art of fighting, and he would have to learn it correctly. Fighting was a risky liking, and Pietro's life could be in jeopardy, of course, this would be in the future. He would just be learning for now, and he was ok with that. He was obviously to young to be thrown into a fight, in the future, he would willingly like to join one. He watched his father preform a duck, to show Pietro what he was required to preform. It was freely obvious that Pietro would would as hard and long as he could to please both himself and his father. He nodded, and got ready to be told orders. He readied for commands, his stance was ready. Once Burke started calling out orders, Pietro quickly followed. First ducking down, then moving the the left, then ducking once again. He quickly assumed this would be an easy exercise, but his view quickly turned. He kept up with Burke's speed, doing each move almost perfectly. Towards the end, his breathing got slightly heavier, but he didn't stop. He wasn't tired quite yet, but he knew he would. His brow really changed, but he kept up, he would feel really good after this. The exercise did him good, and he would surely sleep well tonight.
Burke was a bit surprised that Pietro had not been tired after what they did. The pup had stayed mostly around the den so their stamina could not be that great right? Burke decided to brush that off because Pietro had done well for now. "The side stepping from left to right will be of vital importance. Train them well. They were good now, but you have to be a bit lighter on your feet, son," he pointed out. It seemed Pietro was currently more lanky than one hell of a brute Burke was. Maybe Pietro would more of the elegant build of his mother but have his long legs. Burke wasn't sure he would have to see. But if that was the case Pietro needed to be trained on speed, not on brute force, one thing he always worked with.

"Now when I say a side, you jump to that side but after that jump forward." Burke quickly side stepped and then flashed forward to Pietro. He didn't come in at full force, limiting his movements at the end and then playfully nudging over his son. "Understood?," he asked. Burke then stepped away walking in a big circle around Pietro to see his movements from all angles. "Don't focus on me. Focus on the words. Left. Left. Left. Right. Left. Right. Right. Right," Burke called out, doing a bit of a shorter round now because he didn't want to overwork Pietro. This would be enough for him to practice.
Pietro nodded, his face was very serious, which was pretty cute to see him so dedicated. He was gently nudged by his father, which made him giggle a bit. He quickly snapped out of it, and nodded. "Got it dad." he said and smiled before his father started calling orders. Pietro perked his ears up to hear the order to move left. He followed the command by swiftly jumping to the side, and taking a big leap forward. His tail wagged as he did so. He did the same to the next two left orders, his last one he tripped a bit on his last landing, but quickly pulled himself together. By this time, his tongue came out, and he began to feel tired. But, Pietro planned to work as hard as he could, so he avoided showing he was growing tired. He followed the next few commands, he didn't better on the right side orders than the left, it was easier to move to the right apparently. His tail stopped wagging as he focused harder and harder on his movements. On the last call, to the right, Pietro landed with a playful baring of teeth and followed up with a playful lashing out, obviously missing and swatting at the air. He stood up straight, and smiled proudly, his breathing was harder, and his panting slowed down as he smiled.
Burke watched his son with pride as he worked so hard without complaining. These is someone he could work with. He smiled a bit at his son, not commenting on the stumble since that happened. Pietro did actually very well, better than he expected. The large male stepped closer once he was done. "You did well," he spoke. Which in Burke terms was quite a big deal. The large male nudged his son again in a friendly matter. "Let's have some rest," he then spoke. "It is okay to be tired, it means that you worked hard."

Burke wondered if Pietro was going to have some muscle ache the next morning. He would keep that in check. He might take Pietro to the border so he could stretch those muscles so they wouldn't hurt as badly. That might be an idea, he would see if Pietro would have muscle aches in the morning. Burke knew they were close to the den but he couldn't sense Kendra close. "Where is your sister? With Venus?," he wondered.
Pietro was proud when his father spoke, but a bit of confusion followed. He stumbled, so he didn't do well? "Ok, but can we do this again later?" he urged. He followed his dad the way until he asked where Kendra was. He didn't know exactly where she was, she told him about the caves she went in, and told him a bit about Venus. Pietro nodded and spoke. "Yes, I think she is with Venus." The pup spoke truthfully, though he wasn't positive. "Im not completely sure." he added. If something happened to Kendra, Burke would have to know where she was to get there as soon as possible.
Burke nodded. "Yes we can, but I might take you out on patrol tomorrow instead. It is not right for your young muscles to be overworked,' he mentored to him. The large male kind of liked Pieto going with him and maybe he could take Sebastian too? Then they would be the complete set of greys. Burke was not sure how Pietro was going to react to that. He would have to see. "Alright. I was just wondering but if she is with Venus I trust her," he spoke. "Lets rest now. So tomorrow you will be fit," he spoke to his son. Burke went with him inside, this time. He could use a nap too and what better than to share a nap with his son.

I can make a new one for the border patrol! :3
