Krypton is about to have some EXTREME nightmares (I abuse my poor character XD) Anyone also allowed to jump in and help her out :3

WARNING: Blood and Gore

Running. It was the only thing she could do. Her paws felt like weights, her breaths were so short she could barely hear them herself. Her lungs were crumpled and lit on fire, her chest clenched together before releasing itself to let in another short gasp for air. Anywhere, she had to get there. Anywhere away from here, anywhere away from them. She quickly tossed a look over her shoulders and could see them still. The shadow wolves were gaining on her tail, she quickly sped up her sprint with all her might. Their gleaming red eyes pierced her body like knives, she could feel their stares and death-looks. Her pupils dilated, she quickened her pace even though her body was crying for a rest. Not now, no god no please not now!

The earthy woman stumbled in the snow, her body somersaulted over itself and landed roughly into the freezing snow. She yelped out, feeling her body reconnect with the earth and hearing her spine pop. Tumbling and scrambling at the same time, she desperately regained her balance and returned to her paws to continue running. However, something made her freeze in her spot. A scream, a blood-curling, fur-standing, time-freezing scream. She spun on her heels and without thinking, sprinted back towards the location of the scream.

That scream. She knew it too well and who it belonged to. Her deceased brother, Cloud. He could be alive for all she knew! She wasn't going to let him slip away from her again, not now not ever. As her lungs breathed out their acidic fire, the snow soon began to melt beneath her monstrous paws. The snow secluded itself away somewhere unknown and instead, blood took its place. Krypton started to cry frantically as the screams became louder and louder. "Cloud! Please I'm coming! Please I'm coming Cloud!" She shrieked out to the screaming noise, hopefully a voice could hear her desperate cried and pleas.

She could see him, even in the bloody forest. His white fur stood out like a sore paw in the red and scarlet ground. Blood. Everywhere. It was spread in the bark, on the leaves, on the ground and sky. Krypton's tear ducts were emptying themselves completely. His screams still pierced her ears, she kept running to him with all she could. She saw him, on the ground with his neck finally put to rest. The earthy woman skidded to a stop, letting a wave of red overtake her legs and paws. Her ears fell flat against her head, her body curled a little in fear.

She backed a few steps back, eyes widened. Her eyes then pierced grey ones. Silver. She was smiling and shaking, her mouth stained with fresh blood. No, it was happening again! Krypton felt frozen, she felt as if she was glued to her spot and couldn't move. However, with all the mental courage she could muster, she ran towards Silver with her teeth bared. She lunged with her powerful hind legs to land a deadly bite on Silver, but before she could, Silver faded away.

Krypton landed in a puddle of blood, feeling the metallic fluid splatter against her fur. She screamed out, tears still sliding down and burning her skin. The red fluid held onto her and didn't let her move. She couldn't rip herself free, she couldn't bite the blood since it would liquefy in her mouth. But she still tried, er mouth swallowed the unsatisfying blood. She couldn't break free, she couldn't do it. Soon, Silver returned. Her body trembled and shook, but walked over to Cloud's corpse and started to destroy it. Crunching the bones, ripping the fur and skin, letting every part of her brother become lost to the ivory teeth.

"STOP!"

Krypton's eyes shot open silently, tears freshly ripped away from her eyes. Swiftly she stood up from her curled laying position, quietly walking towards the entrance of the den, then quickly walking off. She made sure to step quietly so she wouldn't wake anyone up, she couldn't bare to talk at the moment. Once she was far away, she picked up a quiet jog towards the Verde Falls to clear her mind. These nightmares were so intense, everything she feared and hated returned in one night. Once she reached the falls, she let out her sobs and gasps, sitting down and slumping her shoulders. Her neck was low to the ground, along with her head. There she stayed, crying and weeping, listening to the running water.

This legit hurt to write T-T
So sad to read

Chaska had woken in the middle of the night, for they had returned. The memories he dreaded. Screams and howls of fear and death. Pain tearing into his right foreleg. Everything was just as he remembered. And that same maniacal laugh as he had been forced to watch it all. Forcefully eating dirt. Only his father had managed to save him that day, sacrificing himself. He was the last of his line. Last of his kin. It had scarred him for life. Mentally, physically and emotionally.

To clear his head, he decided to give his face a wash. The cold water might bring some sense to him, and give him something else to worry about. Like the chill he would feel. He headed to the closest area for water, and when he found it, dipped his head in. All he could hear was crickets, running water and..crying. Looking up, he was surprised at who he saw. Though he knew the look. It was the same look he always had for at least a month after everything happened. Before he came to acceptance.

"Nightmares?" he asked across to her, eyeing her with his nose close to the water's surface, before he took another dip. Really it was quite refreshing for him, despite the cold.
I write with the feels T-T

Sobs racked through her spine and ribcage, Krypton didn't let herself calm down. Her breaths were choppy gasps, ones that were similar to the ones in her dream. Her tears stained her dirt-colored fur, her lips were curled in a snarl as the tears painfully fell. She lifted a paw to wipe them away, but heard something move. Quickly, her eyes shot open to see someone. Instinctively she raised her hackles, but soon realized it was Chaska. She flattened out her fur and looked back down at her paws. His face was wet, mostly his fur. Did he stuck his face into the water on a freezing night like this?

He had asked her a question before returning his head into the water. The earthy woman felt confused, why would he ask her about her nightmares? What did it matter to him anyways? She let him stick his head in the water for as long as he wished, but she decided to answer. "What makes you ask?" She tossed him a confused look, her brow scrunched a bit. She sniffled a little before wiping her paw against her nose. "Wolves like me don't get nightmares, or at least not supposed to..." She trailed off her words by straightening her shoulders and neck.

Her glassy eyes were shiny with tears, although in the darkness no wolf could really see them well enough. Her ears were swayed like a mule's, one to the left while the other to the left. A saddened scowl was left upon her face, her tail curled over her back paws.
Chaska rose his head again, water dripping down his grey face fur. He managed a small smile, despite the situation. He had to lighten the mood up somehow. His tail lowered close to the ground. The chill of the water really did it's work, taking his mind off things. Partly. He could obviously tell she was upset, because he had felt the same many times before. He didn't know what kind of sadness, whether it was from regret or fear, or something else. But it was still sadness. And with it being in the night, away from everyone else. It was obvious to him it was a nightmare. And by what she said, he guessed she didn't want people to know.

"Because...I know the feeling" he answered with some hesitation. He had rathered keep such things to himself, but when someone was having them, he just felt it was a necessary thing to show he knew how it felt. He didn't want to ask, but found himself doing so, "Family?" He had known loss since that day everything happened. He had lost everything. And by now, he had come to accept it. Knowing that one day he would be joining them.
The earthy woman looked at Chaska with a confused look. He knew about the pain? Why would he anyways? Every wolf had their tragedies and problems, Krypton respected that. But why would he ask her? Sure, she was crying and everything. But it still made the dirt colored woman curious. He has asked about family to her, she fought down a snarl at the mention of her family.

"My sister killed my brother. My sister hates me, my parents are disappointed in me. My family is nothing to me." Krypton spoke with a special bitterness not many would care to speak in, but the mention of her family made the burly woman cringe and grow irritated. She wanted nothing to do with them now.

"You know the feeling, right? I could have saved my brother from his death. He would still be alive if I was just quicker to reach him." Her silver tongue was flaunting dangerously, she really couldn't help it right now. Her nightmares tended to put her on an intense edge. "But I wasn't and someone I love paid the price."
Chaska laid on his belly, the tip of his paws dipping into the water. The moonlight reflected off, giving light to his face. It blinded him a little, but only just enough to make him squint a bit. His ears folded a bit. This was getting to really touchy subjects. His tail stilled, hugging his rear right leg.

Chaska noticed the cold touch to her words. As if she did not care much for her family. And her words confirmed that. "Family is what I miss. Lost like ashes in the wind." His ears fell to the sides of his head.

"I too wish I could have been stronger...I could have saved them..." he paused for a moment and sighed, unsure of how to go on. "But now, I have come to terms with it. Because I hold onto something from him. From my mother. And with that, she lives on in me...Tell me, what do you have of your brothers? If you hold onto that, then he lives on." That was his way to remain connected to his family. By holding onto one thing.

This took me little while to write. I seriously could not think of what to put down
It looks good to me!

Chaska had rested onto his belly, even in the cold night, his paws dangled above the water's surface. Since the sun wasn't out, it was hard to see him. However, the moon etched him out with its luminous and pale light. He soon spoke about missing his family, how he could've been stronger as well to save them. 'So we're on common ground' Krypton thought to herself. However, the grey male spoke about holding onto his family. The female looked down at her paws still, in shame of not being like her family.

She wished to not resemble her sister, nor her father. Her sister was cruel while her father knew no limits. However both shamed her, along with her mother. Krypton tried to connect herself with Cloud. Maybe, just maybe she was like him. She fiercely shook her head, she was nothing like her brother. First off, being captain obvious, he was dead. Second, she looked nothing like him. Lastly, she didn't even act like him. Even if she had her moments of true kindness, she was nothing like him.

She huffed slightly and decided to give it a try. "I remember him by looking at the stars. He would always stargaze, and he's up there right now, hopefully." She spoke with a truthfulness that wasn't heard by many. She wished to be more like her brother, she grew up into a ice wolf while he grew up with a large heart. It was a shame he didn't have children, they would've been so kind like him. She tossed a look towards the sky, and saw a large, bright star flicker in her eyes. She smiled the tiniest bit and whispered to herself. 'There you are Cloud, you're watching over me, huh?' She returned her attention to Chaska. "For the rest of my family, I wish not to be connected with them. I'm a disgrace in their eyes."
Chaska gave off a little smirk. To him, it seemed that what he said was slowly working. She did remember him, by the stars. One of the best ways. For they are always there, every night. In the sky, watching over the land. And knowing those you have lost are up there, it made one feel safe, and closer to them.

"It feels better to remember them be something, does it not?" he asked. Sometimes, he would look to the stars and talk to them. Yes, they did not talk back. But he imagined they did. That was something he never told anyone.

He looked back at her. It was a little hard with the darkness, but the moon's light reflected off the whole lake. He couldn't quite tell, but he was sure he saw a smile. A very small one, but still one. Perhaps it was the light playing tricks in the darkness. Nevertheless, it made his smile widen. To know he had just helped someone in some way. "Truly, I am sorry for your loss. I am sure that if he were alive today, your brother would be proud to have you as a sister...What was he like?"
Remembering her brother like the stars was something Krypton could manage. They were always there, they would never leave. To her, it was a symbol of everlasting hope. Even in the darkest of nights, they were still shining as bright as could be. Cloud was hopeful like that, he never backed down and always give it a second go. Chaska seemed to have been pleased with Krypton's answer, he was smiling.

He asked if she felt better to remember him by the stars, she solemnly nodded her head. He then spoke about his condolences for her loss, stating how proud of a brother he would be to have Krypton as a sister. She lifted her gave to him, her smile a bit bigger than before. He soon asked about what Cloud was like, Krypton could go on for hours about him. "Well, Cloud was soft spoken, kind, gentle." Krypton truly enjoyed speaking about her deceased brother, sometimes she felt as if he was there with her, smiling about how she spoke about him. "He always looked to the sky, always wondered about the stars." Cloud was a spacious wolf, a dreamer and believer. Some times he would wake up during the night just to see the stars glow their beautiful light. "But most importantly, he had the gift of patience. He would always listen to anyone and said nothing about it. I-" She started off, feeling her eyes start to water a bit. "I wish I was more like him at times."
Chaska listened intently to her. She spoke of her brother highly. He would certainly be most proud of her. It made him wonder why anyone, let alone a relative, would kill such a boy. Really, it shocked him most of all. Was it pure jealousy, or something else? That was something he would not ask, fearing that the topic crossed the line.

A cold wind blew through, chilling his skin and blowing through his fur. He shook a little from the breeze. Funny how the cold water did not make him shiver, but the air does. He moved his paws up a bit, scooting back as well. After, he spoke in reply. "He sounds like he was a good kid. And a good brother also." He smirked a little. "But don't you see? You have no reason to be disappointed with yourself. You cared for me after I took a tumble. No matter how much I may have annoyed you, or been a burden to you." From what she had told him about how he acted, he guessed he was a burden of some sort. She was a good wolf in her own way.

He paused, hesitant on what to say next. He soon made up his mind and then went on. He stood his forelegs up, stretching them a bit and yawned. It was very late. "It is getting late. I may go back soon."
A few more tears slipped down her face, the dirt-colored woman wiped them away with a sniffle. Her eyes returned to the stars, watching them flicker and dance across the black and purple canvas. Cloud had to be up there, he just had to. Why wouldnt' he be accepted into the heavens? He did nothing wrong in his life, she was there every step of the way!

Her focus returned to Chaska when he spoke again, a small smirk tugging at his lips. He spoke gently, saying Krypton had no reason to be disappointed in herself. She had to take care of Chaska as a task from FitzDutiful, it was definitely a burden. Not a huge one, but it did make her on rough tides with Steady at the beginning. Hopefully she cleared that up. She felt her own face contort itself into a half-smile. He was really trying, huh?

Soon Chaska stated he might turn in soon, a yawn escaping his jaws. The burly woman nodded at his words, it was pretty late at the moment, not to mention it was cold. She returned her gaze once more to the stars, watching small particles of snow start to fall from the clouds, hiding the stars from her view. She grunted silently, how dare they cover her view to Cloud. She looked to Chaska and decided to straighten her back a little. "I think I'm going to stay here... Just a little bit longer, but you are more than welcome to turn in for the night."

Krypton shook some of the snow off of her neck fur, watching the snowflakes clump together and fall onto the ground. "Thank you by the way... for talking to me. I-I really needed it."
Every word he had said, he had meant. Although, it was slightly a case of letting them hear what they want to hear. He wondered for a quick second if he would make a good counselor. His stories gave morals for life, and already he had helped several other pack mates, just by talking.

Chaska gave a light nod in farewell, and started to walk off. But then he stopped when thanked him. It was genuine, for sure. He turned his head back a bit, keeping one eye on her. "It is my pleasure. I meant every word of it...I hope to see you again some day." With that, he went ahead and began to trot off. He knew that they were going to be friends, or at least he hoped.

Last post from me. Unless yo uwant to continue
I'll go ahead and archive :)

Chaska had bid himself farewell, he was happy to console someone if need be. He was true, sincere, honest with each word he spoke. Krypton appreciated that he truly meant what he was saying and wasn't just babbling on and blindly lying. He left with a trot, hoping to see her again someday.

The agouti woman nodded her head deeply to show her thanks, then let her eyes wander up to the stars once more. A few stray tears slipped away, the woman let a soft smile grace her features. "Watch over me brother, I need you. I wish you the best now, please guide me on my way. I love you..." The earthy woman felt her fur soak with snow, but she bid no care. She only felt warmth in and out of her body, as if someone was wrapping himself/herself around Krypton.

Cloud cuddled up to his semi-older sister, protecting her from the chilling wind. His pale white fur bristled against hers, he let out a small whine and nuzzled her shoulder with his own. "I'm here Krypton. I'm here. Don't forget about me,'kay?" He whispered lightly into her ear before fading into the snow and returning to his pedestal in the moon. He gazed at her with soft eyes, smiling a gentle smile upon her. "I will forever guide you, my dear sister. I love you too..."
