Semble roamed around the borders of a packs territory. He's had his fun for months of being alone, but he believed it was time to settle down with a pack. He sniffed for any other wolves present, but so far there was none. He gave a small yelp of a bark, hoping to gather someone's attention. Hello?

He was almost worried, for some odd reason. As in he'd have to wait for days, but every minute felt like an hour. Just because he was so impatient.
Keepin' ya busy till Asterr arrives :) Feel free to skip me when she does, like Jolon walked away already or such when he saw that the alpha had everything under control :P

Resting on a ridge, Jolon watched the clouds as they rolled by. It hadn't snowed in a while, but it would, eventually. Winter wasn't over yet after all. He took a break from patrolling the borders when he noticed that they were fresh enough for anyone to scent. He had done almost nothing else than patrolling on the borders since he had first arrived here, the exception being hunting and socializing with the others. Maybe he was worried because they hadn't officially claimed the astounding piece of land back then, but now they had, their numbers growing almost every day. Maybe someone new would show up at their borders soon, if so, he was ready to make sure they weren't a threat.

Speak of the devil and he arrives, Jolon thought when he heard an unfamiliar bark in the distance. He hadn't seen Asterr today at all, so he worried the stranger at their border might sneak in without anyone noticing. He knew the bright spirit would check the noise out eventually, but for now it didn't hurt to find out who this stranger was. He got up and stretched himself, shaking his coat and fluffing it up a bit after.

He trotted over to the place he thought he had heard the bark-like noise, only to find a young white male directly at their borders. He approached with a high but wagging tail, showing that he wasn't boss around here but still looking like a higher rank than the white male was. He had almost mistaken him for the frosty wolf Winter, but she had very warm, orange like orbs, while this male had grey ones just like Jolon himself.Goodmorning, young one. He said in his tone that was colder than ice. What might your business be here?
Sembles ears perked upon seeing a wolf, about the same height as him. Maybe even taller! He couldn't exactly tell, either way, it made him excited, probably the first time in awhile he's seen someone else of such height. The first thing the he noticed about the male, besides his height, were his grey eyes. Even more grey than his own, he felt as though they were looking right through him, sending a small chill throughout his tail.

He could tell the male wasn't the highest rank, but he seemed something more high than low. Semele made sure to lower himself slightly from the wolf, showing respect in his rank. I was hoping to join this pack. He explained. Subconsciously tilted his head to the right, wondering if he's ever seen a wolf with a pelt so dark before.
What had started only as two searching for a home had grown into something far greater. Since their claim had been made, wolves seemed to seek out their borders in search of a place that might be able to become their home. It was satisfying to know that their numbers wouldn't be shrinking anytime soon, but increasing instead. The dragoness had been left smiling upon realizing such, which was only a short amount of time before a sharp sound could be heard. It was unlike the howls that usually summoned her, but the faint word that followed made it clear he sought council with the tribe's leader. Asterr had then started in the direction from which it'd sounded, and upon reaching the location she could see the stranger had already attracted the company of someone else—Jolon.

The dragoness approached with a raised tail, but greeted the dark male with a soft nudge to his shoulder. She'd caught the question and answer by a hair, but it was enough for her to understand the pale one's intentions for being there. He wished to join them, though before that could be done the yearling needed to ask him a couple of questions. "What might you be able to offer to us?" she began, watching the stranger closely. For a second, she offered Jolon a glance, silently dismissing him if he wished to leave, but also giving him the option to stay.
Semble unintentionally began wagging his tail, but lowered himself a bit more in the presence of the Alpha. His tail lowered, but didn't retract under his legs, because he didn't want to seem wimpy or afraid. He studied the dark wolf for a few seconds before answering. I'm quite fast, if I do say so myself. Along with plenty of strength for someone so tall. He then realized it seemed as though he was bragging, and didn't want to come off as someone who thought so much of himself. I believe I could contribute well to the packs hunters, as in my last pack I was known to be the best hunter. He paused, hoping the answer didn't seem too narcissistic.

He looked at the alpha, worries crossed his mind that his answer wasn't good enough.
The wagging of his tail earned the stranger a faint smile, though she was slightly curious of the meaning behind it. Was he truly that glad to be given a chance at joining something more than himself? Such was a trait she enjoyed seeing in others, for loyalty could be born from it. The way he answered would have, perhaps, been concerning to some, for few wanted an arrogant subordinate. Asterr, however, knew that was not his intention. The way he held himself betrayed his inner nature, and it was obvious that arrogance simply didn't fit him. Thus his answers were accepted for what they were, truly, and she kept them fresh in her mind. He would definitely be useful, but that was only a single factor in the grand scheme of things.

She nodded her head, showing she'd both heard and accepted his response. "And your name, what might it be?" Couldn't carry on without knowing that. "My name is Asterr." She did not introduce Jolon, leaving him to do so himself (assuming he remained). "You say you are a great hunter... would it be safe to assume you desire a trade dedicated to such in the future? And what other things interest you?" While Asterr did not demand trades be earned, it could never hurt to learn of the plans potential tribe members had.
He wanted to jump up and bark joyfully that he'd been accepted, but kept his cool and only allowed a smile to portray on his lips. I'm Semble. He exclaimed. He was proud of his name, as though it was an honor to be named that, and once sharing it with others he gets a sense of pride. As for trade, I don't necessarily desire them, but would be willing to do one, so yes, it would be safe to assume. My other interests include travelling, so I wouldn't mind being a communicator of some sort.  Unless, that was your job of course.

Semble was still taking in the fact he was accepted, he hoped pack life would be comfortable to him. The idea struck him that it might be rude to not counter the question about himself, for one about her. What do you have interest in? He questioned, now finding himself curious on the subject. What was the alpha like? So far she seemed calm, strong, and kind.
Just a note, she hasn't actually accepted him just yet, aha. Perhaps I worded that oddly... my bad!

Semble. Odd, but strangely befitting. She knew not the meaning behind his name, or if there even was one, but couldn't help but think it seemed to work well for him. Following that came his thoughts towards trades, and she was rather interested by the fact that he didn't desire them. Many seemed to, but she supposed there would always remain some who simply did not seek them out. In spite of that, however, he'd voiced his willingness towards acquiring one, or possibly even two. Commendable, really, if she was to be entirely honest with herself. "Interesting..." the yearling murmured, the comment more so for herself than him. "I had not considered trying my hand at dealing with outside communications, so perhaps you may fit in well here." There remained one more thing she needed to ask him, and his answer to that would then decide whether or not he was to join them. Before she could get it out, though, he'd turned her query unto her.

"I have always wished to pursue something in the medical field," she answered, seeing nothing wrong with responding. Though usually she was to be the one asking the questions, the dragoness could not blame him for being inquisitive. Before he could offer up any other inquiries that he might have, however, she began to speak. "You have given me plenty of positives as to why I should grant you access into my tribe, however there is one more thing that must be known." It was the very same thing she told everyone, too. "Here we value loyalty above all else. Someone could offer the grandest of abilities to us, but that would mean nothing if they lacked loyalty. So, tell me, are you willing to pledge your loyalty to both myself and the tribe, Semble?"
Semble did not hesitate to answer, and nodded his head. Of course, anything I can provide for you or the tribe I will do, and I certainly wouldn't do anything to hurt you or the pack. I hope to be one of the most loyal, doing anything you and the tribe asks.  He adjusted his posture to be a bit more taller, but because his height, and how he wanted to keep a respectful position towards the alpha, he stayed a bit lower than her.

The idea of being a communicator excited him a bit, traveling to other packs, giving warnings or other messages. He then thought about how she wanted to be in something medical, why hasn't she yet? Perhaps her role as alpha prevented her from doing hobbies and such. He'd ask her more about that later, and just waited to see if she'd approve of his answer.
Welcome to the tribe~! Last post from me. One more from you, and we can go ahead and archive this. c:

The answer came swiftly, lacking in hesitation. Little thought had needed to be given before he'd answered, leaving two possibilities: one, he was so eager to join that he would say anything, or two, he was honestly able to do just as he said without worry. Having always wished to see the best in others, her mind was pulled towards the latter option. He seemed honest enough, which further influenced her decision, and willing to do whatever was necessary to prove the truth behind his words. He was someone she would not mind sharing a home with.

"I have taken all that you have said into consideration," she began, moving towards him. Asterr's posture was neutral as she crossed over the invisible line that was their border, leaving little room to speculate what the verdict might be. Only when she'd neared his side did her legs cease to move any further, and her head began leaning closer in order to gently touch her muzzle to his shoulder. Afterwards, she stepped back, giving him a smile as she said, "You are permitted entry into our lands as an official member of the tribe. If you will follow me, I will show you around a bit." Her tail swayed slowly for a moment or two, inviting him to follow her as she turned and crossed back over the threshold. Assuming he'd followed her, the young dragoness would then proceed to lead him around the territory, showing him the safer paths before heading towards the cavern. There she would leave him to explore the woods on his own, giving him a brief 'goodbye' before returning to her duties.
Semble was surprised he didn't leap with joy, it felt good to be accepted. As though he was worthy of something, worthy to be in the tribe. He hoped he would have fun here, and he meant every word he said. Semble would dedicate everything for the tribe and its alpha. He willingly followed her around them territory, along involved very word she said a and noting it in the back of his mind.

Although, he didn't leap once hearing the news, his tail did wag throughout most of the time, and a smile was plastered on his face.
