Wolf RPG

Shuffling through the herb cache, Venus picked out the herbs she hadn't dried yet. She carefully picked them up, avoiding puncturing the fragile leaves. She moved them onto a large rock nearby, before the girl ducked her head in once again. She shuffled around the herbs, sorting them out. She smelt another wolf in the distance, not being able to tell who it was, the hair on her back stood on end and she looked around for the other wolf. If it was a wolf from the Brotherhood, she would apologize. The girls pupils were large, taking up a lot of the beautiful Amber eyes she possessed. She moved closer to the herbs she set out, trying to protect them.

Mikasi had been following the scent of Venus he had picked up. He had been spending a lot of time with her lately, more than he should. He was slightly afraid that Cyn would find out what they had been doing and come to kick his ass. Still, the male felt stubborn and didn't want to stop. Besides, Cyn was never there, which made him wonder why.

 He caught sight of Venus, her hair standing on her back and eyes wide. He slowed his pace, walking forward with caution. "Heya," he said with a small smile.

The girl relaxed as she saw Mikasi familiar face. Her eyes slowly drew down, and her muscles relaxed. She let her tail wag a bit, showing she was more relaxed. "Hey, sorry I freaked out. I was overly focused on the herbs, and I caught a wolfs scent, not knowing who." she said and smiled shyly, turning her head away in embarrassment. The girl looked into his eyes after a second, before she drew closer to lick his cheek. "What have you been up to?" she asked.

He chuckled a little. "Well by now I reckon we both know each other's scent very well," he remarked jokingly. They had spent so much time together anyways.

 "Actually, I've been wanting to teach more hunting practice with Pietro and Kendra. I really like them. Their fun to be around."

Venus smiled at his joke. My nose was stuffed with herb smell Mikasi." she joked back. It surprised her when he mentioned Burkes children. "I'm surprised Kendra listens to you. She is very sweet and dedicated, but she is very stubborn. I teach her some herb and plant skills, and she seems to only enjoy that. Good for you!" she said teasingly with a smile.

He shrugged. "Well I wouldn't say she's that easy to dazzle," he replied. It was a hard task, but he knew she would pull through with a little nudge.

 "Mm, so you two are naturalist kinds of girls huh? I could never really wrap my head around plant stuff when I was her age." He was never into those things. more of the rough and tough pup, unlike his sister.

Venus smiled, Kendra wasn't hard to dazzle, but she was stubborn. "Sometimes you have to either have a calling, or get it in your genes, like Kendra did with her mother. I found mine because I'm..." she stopped quickly, very embarrassed. She didn't want to scare him away, saying she was sick all the time. "Eh, nothing never mind. she quickly said. The girl was petrified this would scare Mikasi away, thinking she was a freak. She looked embarrassed, as a small lump grew in her throat.

 He tilted his head as Venus cut a sentence short. His mind was suddenly clouded with both worry and curiosity. Last time she didn't want to tell him something, he wondered if this time would be different. "Because of what?" he softly said, urging her to finish.

Venus winced as he asked. It would have to come out sooner or later. "I have some issues, with um, preventing sickness from taking over, and I can't fight sickness very well. I don't want this to scare you away." She said, as she braced to hear his footsteps drawing to a fade away from her. She decided to leave the depression part out, seeing how he would react to this, she would decide whether or not to mention it.

It was a little concerning and confusing for him. He had been with her all this time yet hadn't shown any sign of sickness. It left one question in his mind, asking if it was contagious. Most likely not and he wasn't going to be a jerk and ask her about it.

 "That won't scare me away," he sad in a reassuring voice, "Have you always been like that?"

Venus wasn't satisfied with his answer, depression would be her own thing she would suffer with. "Yeah ever since I was born actually." He lied to her, it would scare him away one day, and she immediately regretted talking about it. She ducked her head away from him, she was angry at both herself and the male. She had no reason to be mad at him, but the words he spoke didn't feel truthful to her. She couldn't find someone that she could talk to when she felt her life was in danger, or when she personally wanted her life to be in danger.

He immediately regretted asking as she turned her head away. He felt like an ass for persisting in the first place. He walked closer to her and licked her ear for comfort. "We don't need to talk about it if you feel uncomfortable. I'm sorry for asking."

He gave her what she needed when she felt vulnerable, a comforting lick. That is all she ever wanted. She was tired of others saying 'It will get better' or 'It will get better' Those were lies meant to comfort others in a hard time. She moved closer to him as she sat down, pressing her body close to his chest. The girl gave his chest a few loving licks and nuzzles. She let her tail wag a bit, forgetting about the past. Near Mikasi was the only true place she felt safe. She was terrified when she was alone, she knew her mind could take over and make her do something stupid.

Venus seemed to get comfort out of his loving nature, which Mikasi enjoyed. He didn't want to see her sad and lost, anyone for that matter. Why be angry at yourself and the world when you could just be happy and enjoy life now? He rested his head on hers, closing his eyes and resting there.

She gave his chest a few more licks and he rested his head on hers. A safe place, this was what she needed, and she got it here, thank god. She let a few tear drops fall, both happy and sad tears. She tried to hide them, not very well, but she tried. She buried her face closer to his chest, as her air blew on his chest fur from her nose.

 

 He could feel her tears against his fur as she pressed her head on his chest. He bought himself the closest he could muster. It felt nice to be close to her. It was always like he was meant to be there.

Venus felt him shift closer, making her feel all fuzzy inside. She could sit like this forever. She yawned, and pulled away. She didn't know if he felt keen on sleeping in the same den, which Venus needed in this poor time, but she wasn't going to mention it. She licked his cheek in silent goodbyes, and they parted their ways, she made her way over to the herb cache to sort some other stuff out, then made her way into her den, resting not far from the cache. She laid down, missing the warmth of his fur. The girl eventually fell asleep. She was deprived on the feel of anyone near her, which she wasn't used to.
