@Goliath for Anwyl's scout trade c:

Anwyl's last encounter had been in a strange forest full of medicinal plants. It had been surprisingly green for this time of year, he liked it. The greens of spring and summer were his most favorite colors after all. However this place lacked in green by a lot. Icy silver covered a shimmering river as he broke out of the tree line. The bright sunlight streamed down on its expansive surface, making it look like a sparkly diamond. His piercing blue eyes widened at the marvelous sight, he held up a paw hesitantly. He was scared to step off of the muddy grass and onto the frozen river, but he was very curious none the less.

He cautiously placed one paw on the frozen river, it was cold and hard (like my soul ;)), and it made his whole body shiver. He scanned the entire river, mapping it in his mind. It looked like it might even be cold like this all year long. Maybe even frozen. He took light footsteps, watching as a fish floated around underneath. It was always exciting, finding new things. Anwyl loved his job, exploring and everything. It was what he was meant to do.
Had Goliath known that this lake was long frozen, he wouldn't have walked all the way here. It was a dumb idea to ask others for advice on water flows. He still needed food for the winter, and his best way of sustaining food was through fishing. He almost headed back, when he saw a wolf on the side, walking on the ice. He almost was surprised, a frozen lake wouldn't ever be able to sustain his weight, but either way, he was stupid enough to try, and placed his paw on the frozen water, and tried his weight on it.

"Hey!" he growled, "How do that?" his broken speech made no impact to his question, and so far, had no difference to the others. He set the other feet on the ice, but as he heard a cracking, he rushed back to the border, and eyed the cold floor. His curiosity would soon make him try again, no matter the consequences.
Oh my god I love Goliath. He reminds me of the Easter island head in the night at the museum movies lol xD

Anwyl had been so caught up in slippin and slidin that he hadn't even noticed the other massive wolf on the other side of the frozen river. He heard the loud growl and almost jumped out of his fur, especially when he saw the wolf talking. He was a giant, literally a giant. He was broad shouldered and about 3 times Anwyl's size. The yearling's eyes widened tenfold as he stared at the goliath of a wolf shouting from the other side. Anwyl felt safe out on the ice. He was sure that if the grey wolf tried to come out onto the river, he'd crack it. Surely the big guy wouldn't be that dumb.

But then he watched as Goliath tried to come out onto the ice. Anwyl screwed up his nose in confusion. Like really what the hell man, didn't he know that it wouldn't work? Deciding that this giant wasn't really dangerous, Anwyl cautiously tip toed to the other side. He got close but not too close. He gave a timid but friendly smile and replied. You umm... You're too big...I think. He didn't want to sound rude or anything, but he also didn't want the big guy to plunge them both into an ice cold death.

Wait a minute I'm coming over. Anwyl decided that Goliath was really interesting and he wanted to know more. Hopefully he wouldn't rip off his head or something. He continued on over, sliding into the grass on the other side by Goliath. He prepared himself if he indeed had to run, but for the moment bowed his head submissively and introduced himself. Hi, my name is Anwyl.
OMG your right! I didn't  think of it like that before x,D  (Sorry for short post, pretty tired)

Goliath was eyeing the ice suspiciously, it was rather treacherous, but he wouldn't admit defeat to a frozen lake . Luckily, the male he called at came tip-toeing over to his side of the lake to investigate, or atleast that's what he thought. "Me Goliath," he replied with his name, if he wanted to get this task done, he should at least seem nice, or he could very well do it on his own.

"Must walk on lake" he told the wolf, "Must-he repeated, to make sure the wolf understood his priority. He made space for Anwyl to stand on the ground, and waited for any advice that would come out of the water-walker before him. The wolf seemed fairly nice, and he came to know that kind people tended to be helpful, and he would make the best out of that.

He readied himself once more, and took the first paw again on the cold lake, keeping his body low in anticipation. This was not going to end well, at all.
Nah you're good :)

The large wolf stated his name. Or maybe it was a title, whatever it was it fit him great. You most certainly are. Anwyl though sarcastically. Nice to meet you Goliath. He said kindly, bowing his head a little. He was still kind of nervous. If he somehow rubbed this guy the wrong way, he could easily be dead meat. He'd just have to be even nicer than usual. It was obvious that Goliath had some sort of speech impediment, or maybe he was wasn't very bright. His sentences were fragmented oddly, and very simple. But at least he could be understood.

Oh no, this guy is not walking on this river. He thought wide eyed as Goliath placed one foot on the river, testing it. Anwyl tensed up at the large male's every move, scared the ice would crack at any moment. But since Goliath seemed pretty damn set on water walking, Anwyl could always try and help. Ok, I'll teach you... I guess. Come over here. The tiny boy looked up at the massive man, flashing him a friendly grin. As soon as he turned to walk away he raised his eyebrows and sighed. This is gonna be some work.

Anwyl traveled along searching for a thicker part of the ice, one that Goliath could possibly stand on. All the way he continued to scan the river and its surroundings, wondering where it let out and if there was a water fall somewhere nearby. They passed an interesting part in the ice where the river split. One half of the river continued on as icy, the other fork split into running water. Huh. He thought deciding that it called for further investigation. Anwyl turned back around to his companion and nodded his head. The ice on the fork to the right was pretty thick. It might be able to hold Goliath.

Ok so, stand up really straight ok? And shift your weight onto all four paws. Then walk into the ice like this. But be as light as you possibly can. Nervously Anwyl waddled onto the frozen river and slid across to the other side at the patch of land that started the fork in the river. He slid onto the grass and then turned around to face Goliath. He nodded his head, telling the giant that it was his turn to try.
Goliath enthusiastically began to walk on the ice, trying to spread out his paws as much as possible - like Anwyl said, only to end up slipping and falling chin first on the hard ice. It didn't crack, luckily, but only from sheer luck of hitting a spot with stone underneath. He grunted, and tried to pick himself back up, only to slip once more, yet this time, in the direction of his destination. He was rather confused, and tried keeping himself at least for a single second still.

His instinct got over his stupidity, and he was able to keep himself balanced, sadly, he was stupid enough to move faster, where he would fall on his backside, and began to spin.

His weight caused him to slide, however, and he kept on sliding till he passed the point where Anywl was waiting. He shot a worried glance at the wolf teaching him of the ice-walking, and continued to spin deeper into the center of the lake. He was taught one word that was rather fitting to the situation. Shit. he stated, and spiraled to a stop at the center, where the ice felt as thin as paper.

Scared to move, he kept himself flat across the ice, and hoped for some advice to get out of this mess he caught himself in.
Omg poor Goliath I love the big baby xD

Anwyl watched, very very worried. Very worried. He knew how this would end, but he didn't want to say anything. Goliath probably wouldn't listen anyway. Then his concerns came to life. He jumped, eyes wide with fright as the big guy fell face first into the ice. It was gonna crack for sure. But it didn't yet. Anwyl let go of his breath, breathing slowly with relief. And then Goliath lost control and found himself spinning towards the thin ice at the middle of the river. If he moved too much, Goliath would surely fall under the surface and be swept away! This had been a very bad idea.

Ok, ok, ok it's ok. We are fine. It'll all be alright. Just umm... Anwyl looked around frantically for something to get them out of this sticky situation. Maybe if Goliath shuffled across, no he'd have to slide. Taking another step and shift his weight could crack it. But how could Anwyl give him momentum without having hem step? He'd have to push him. Fear coursed through the little wolf's veins. He had to help his big friend, he was kind of to blame for the problem. Ok you stay perfectly still ok? I'm gonna push you. And with a big breath, he slid out onto the river.

Once he got close enough to Goliath, he went behind him. He heard the ice begin to crack, so Goliath would have to remain very calm so as not to put anymore pressure. Lucky for them, the ice was just thick enough to keep them both aloft. Im gonna push you. Just don't move. I hope this works. And with that thought, Anwyl head butted the massive grey male over towards the thicker ice section. Goliath had made it! Anwyl cheered happily, and bounded cautiously over towards Goliath. Pride ran through him like a fire in his heart, filling him and making him seem bigger.

Did you see that? I just save you! He said with a childish grin, ushering Goliath towards the river bank. He was in no hurry to get back out there, not yet.
I swear he is usually more arrogant x,D
Goliath was tugged and nudged around the ice, and however much he disliked it, he had no other choice. The dark blue that resonated underneath the layer of ice only increased his fears. He had no fear of anything. He attacked swans, wolves, bears, and had been broken and crushed in multiple ways, alas, there was one exception: Drowning.

His weight made him more susceptible to it. Considering his favourite past time other than murder was fishing, it was very ironic. He was an alright swimmer, but he could easily drown if a opponent would stand on him in deep water. The little wolf gave him some words of comfort (or warning), yet it only made him more unsure. Just to keep safe, he began paddling with his feet against the cold ice, just so that when he fell he would already have a head start.

Cracking had begun, and as his heart began to pound, the wolf head butted him away! Once again he spiralled across the sheet of ice, trying his best to keep a serious face of disappointment at the wolf, but it didn't give much impact as he was spinning around to another section of the lake, which was rather lighter.

Yes, you save, but Ice is bitch. he pouted, he was rather glad to get back on to the safe, soft land where he could trust his legs. Water-walking was nothing for him, he would die on land.
Anwyl breathed heavily, still rather amazed that the whole situation didn't end in their deaths. He laughed through his airy breaths, I agree, ice is a bitch. He looked up and back out at the frozen river. It now had a mass of cracks in the center. Anwyl wouldn't be crossing over there again. But he wouldn't need to anyway, his exploration was supposed to take him across here. He was on the right track. He turned back to Goliath, staring up at the large male with his pale blue eyes. He smiled with a sigh and said, Lets go back this way, I don't think we should try that again.

Anwyl walked back along the river, marveling at the water trickling underneath. The streaks of current shimmered in the sunlight like shooting stars. It was a truly beautiful sight. He looked to Goliath, deciding he wanted to get to know him better. So where are you from?
Taking a breath to calm himself down, he noticed he was glad that the one agreed with him. Happy to be back on the stable land. Never again would he do something ridiculous. That is, until he sees another frozen lake, and nearly kills himself once more.

As Anwyl headed back along the river, Goliath quickly followed. Anwyl paid a lot of attention to every detail, he noticed, as if he was either extremely worried, or just extremely curious. If he had to guess the nature of this wolf, it would be curious. Either way, he did save Goliath when he noticed the density of the ice sheet. So that helped a ton. As they were walking, the male asked him a rather touchy question.

If anything, he never knew where he came from. His original pack was that of nomadic barbarians - traversing without settling in a single position. When it would become too cold, they headed south. When it would become too warm, they headed north. Never was it the same den. The only thing that stayed the same would be the genocidal warpath they began once they met encountered anything that was not them.

Either way, he would guess the wolf meant the pack he was in currently, and calmly told him. Goliath from Sleeping Dreh-gohn. he said, before realizing he pronounced it incorrectly. He repeated the name several times until he got the hang of it. Dreygon? No, Drahgon... Dragon, yes, Dragon.
Sleeping Dragon, better remember that one. Anwyl thought, putting the pack name into his mental record box. He nodded to Goliath, the large male didn't seem too keen on the topic, so Anwyl decided to talk about himself that little brat. Im from a pack too. We're called Porcupine Ridge. We're relatively new. I was one of the first members! He said, reminiscing in the memory. He wasn't bragging really. He didn't like to brag. He was just telling Goliath about the cool things he did. The topic of where they lived seemed to end pretty quickly. So Anwyl tried to think of something new to ask.

Err, so... How about, what trades are you trying for? I'm moving towards Scout. That's why I'm up here. Phew! He was glad a question had come to him. He hated awkward silences.
He enjoyed the smaller one's enthusiasm, and didn't mind the explanation. He listened as well as he could, and replied softly. “They all smart as Anwyl?" he asked truthfully. They must be educated, or atleast kind if they teach their members to save big, fat wolves on ice.

As they continued walking, the small one shot another question up. Trades. It was rather funny, he was working for his trade recently. Goliath strong, Goliath be Mercenary. he explained, there was not much to say. Goliath fight many here.  he didn't mean to brag, but it was truthful. He had been fighting many wolves in the past week, and the amount he left fatally injured were numerous.
Goliath's next comment made Anwyl blush a little. He was very bashful, and always took compliments as if he were embarrassed. He smiled and replied, Yeah, some of them are smarter than me. They're all very kind. Especially this one girl Jhala.Oops, he hadn't meant to bring her up, but it had just slipped. The boy had a massive crush on her. When he returned to the ridge, he would ask Tagg for advice. His alpha seemed pretty knowledgable on these topics.

Anwyl nodded, what was he expecting Goliath's trade to be, counselor? Anwyl felt a bit intimidated when his large companion said he fought many wolves. He hoped that Goliath wouldn't decide to 'fight him'. That's cool, I bet your good at fighting. He added to compliment the male.
