Ooc: anyone who wants to meet Liri feel free to join :)

Liri wandered the pack territory with a small grin on her face, she was happy to have a place to return to. It was beautiful here, thick green foliage that she was sure was beautiful in the summer. This time of year it wasn't as vibrant. There was some kind of red flower that grew all about, lending color to the place.

She had seen more evidence of foxes than she cared to admit. Dens, footprints, scat, leftovers from the scavengers' meals, etc. She figured it was a pest problem but she had yet to come across any foxes, all the scents she smelt were stale.

At the moment she was exploring, she had come across a couple caches that had old food in them. She hadn't touched them, the scents had been so stale she wasn't sure what type of animal it was who dug them. It wasn't long before she came to a small stream.

There were some small rivulets running over a pile of rocks. She bent down and lapped some up before snapping at the running water childishly. It caused her to laugh at her own antics before she turned back.

She knew this was a small pack, she was already Zeta and she had just joined. That was more rank than she had ever held in her life. She had noticed one odd thing, there was more females than males. She wasn't sure how that would work with their mating system but she wasn't too worried about it.

She was mostly worried about meeting her new pack members. She hoped they liked her, she wanted a family again. So she padded off towards the central part of the territory with the hopes of meeting her pack.
Faramir had just woken up from a good nap, and was prepared to explore more of the territory. Hopefully, he would run into more pack mates to talk to. He wanted to get to know everyone before a mate was chosen for him, or he chose one. Either way, he still wanted to meet his new family.

He was trotting through the central part of the territory to get to another part of the forest when he spotted a flash of white. Eagerly, he veered from his path and barked in a friendly manner. "Hey! What's up?" he called out to the other wolf.
Liri slowed when she smelt his scent. It was fresh and extremely close. Male, grown, coming her way. Please don't be aggressive. She stopped before he appeared, lowering herself into a submissive stance.

She had gotten a glimpse of him before she lowered herself and had to admit he was handsome. He had interesting marbled fur that was a variety of tans. He had some red on his face and vivid green eyes. She had a fleeting thought of what if he was the one she would be paired with. Well at least we would have cute pups.

She had been told many times that she herself was a beauty but she found that hard to believe after Remo's hurtful words. She doubted this wolf would be her mate though, she got the feeling he was above her in rank quite a bit. It was likely he would mate a higher wolf.

"Hello,"she greeted back shyly, her tail wagging lowly. He was much bigger up close. A head or two taller and at least a shoulder width wider. His body was longer as well. He seemed nice enough and she hoped they could be friends.
He was mildly taken aback when he approached a white female in a submissive stance. Maybe she already knew he was of a higher rank? He blinked a bit, then proceeded with his normal antics.

"Hi, I'm Faramir, the Beta." he said with a smile and a waging tail. By comparison he was a much larger wolf than her, but he was extremely gentle. She was a pretty white color, with eyes like chocolate that he thought went very well together. "What's your name?" he asked.
Liri nodded when he mentioned his name, Faramir. It was an odd name for her, most of the wolves in her natal pack had short, quick names. Females usually ending with an -a or an -i, like herself, and males ending with an -o. His name was long and unfamiliar sounding, almost exotic.

"I am Liri,"she murmured," the Zeta." She gave a small shrug at her rank. It wasn't as impressive as a Beta. "How long have you been here?", she found herself asking curiously. He was friendly, and she hoped that they would get along well. She could be a good friend if you earned her trust.
Liri. A short but pretty name for a short and pretty girl. Faramir retained his kind smile, and shrugged with good nature when she mentioned her lower rank. Unless you were the alpha, ranks didn't really hold any meaning to Faramir, and even then he treated everyone the same, just with a tad more respect.

"Only about two days, (I think)" he said with a laugh. "I was the only other male besides Aaron, so I got the rank by default." he like talking to this one already.
She laughed at that,"That's a pretty quick descent in rank.I joined yesterday, kinda late to the party I guess." She decided she liked Faramir. He was funny, and he was actually being nice to her.

She allowed herself to relax some, her stance still respectful and nonthreatening but a certain tension had melted away. She sat in front of him. "What's your trade?" She figured if they were going to be in the same pack, she should get to know him.
I had to figure out what I even was doing for his trades

He in turn sat and thought about the question. He had determined a few possibilities earlier, and finally narrowed them down to the two he thought would be the best for him. "I don't have any trades right now, but I plan on being a storyteller and a sitter, and if not a sitter then something like that." he said thoughtfully. He honestly liked entertaining every one, especially pups, and his stories weren't too bad. Although, he might want to learn the mercenary trade to defend their beautiful territory.
Her ears perked at his response,"I want to be a sitter as well. I've had training at it in my natal pack as well as being a midwife. I would like to be a hunter too though." She knew that wolves could have two trades with three specialties so that was where she planned to put her pieces so to speak.

She didn't know who would train her though, she supposed she could train on her own. She didn't know much about healing but she would learn. Hunting though, she knew. She was one of their strongest hunters back home. She had never considered storytelling,it wasn't a strong suit of hers. She wasn't creative like that, but it was nice to have diversity. There were so many sitters amongst the pack already so a storyteller created a nice change.
He sat, interested at her response. A hunter would be good for the pack with all the sitters, and a midwife specialty would be good for this pack particularly. He was a pretty good hunter and he considered taking it up, but there were others he placed higher than that.

Faramir nodded in response. "Those are some good choices to have." he said with a smile. "Would you like to explore with me?" he asked with his head tilted, looking almost like an eager puppy. It would be nice to wander around with someone.
She nodded eagerly as she stood to her feet, shaking out her snow colored pelt. She had relaxed around Faramir, deciding he was a friend. Thus, her almost childlike personality came out.

She was practically bouncing on her paws, energy was a word that was definetly in her vocabulary. She was excited to explore with him and suddenly she reached out and swatted his side playfully with her paw. "I bet I can run faster!", she exclaimed as she bolted off on her tiny paws, weaving through the trees.
As soon as she sprung up, Liri seemed to be an explosion of energy. His head went back a bit, an amused smile still on his face. He got up as well, grinning as she swatted at him. He was suddenly energized as well, the air of competition around him. "I don't think so!" he shouted after her, instantly sprinting and trying to catch up to the small white bullet. Geez, she was fast. Good thing she wanted to be hunter, he thought briefly.
Darting to and fro, she pumped her short legs to keep well ahead of Faramir. She was fast, she always had been even as a pup. He was longer though and she knew it would be a close match. She heard his comment, and threw her head back laughing. This was gonna be fun.

Panting, she lurched to the side hiding behind a tree. She burrowed into the fallen leaves, crumpling them softly. It helped to hide her scent as the wind was blowing in Faramir's direction. Curving her small body around the tree trunk, she hunkered down planning to scare Faramir when he came by. She giggled softly,oh she was gonna get him good.
Faramir watched as the faster runner disappeared out of view, himself panting hard. Though he was a lone wolf for a while does not mean that he stayed in shape. He slowed his pace to a trot as he tried to find her scent again, but the wind was not in his favor. He went steadily down the place where he had last seen her, looking about with a smile on his face.
She held in a chuckle when Faramir appeared obviously having lost her. He was searching the clearing silently with a smile on his face. She made her move when he was facing away from her.

Years of hunting had made her a stealthy wolf. She rose halfway, falling gracefully into a hunter's crouch. She crept behind him silently, keeping low to the ground. Other children had always been afraid of her growing up,calling her a ghost for her ability to appear apparently from thin air. She was practically holding her breath for fear he would hear her.

She crept behind his shoulder, angling away from his peripheral vision. Once close enough she leaned over, stretching up onto her tiptoes. "Boo,"she whispered in his ear suddenly, moving quickly away so as not to be injured if he whirled around suddenly or went on the defensive.
Faramir had sworn he searched the clearing top to bottom, but even still a mischievous little wolf crept up on him. He did not hear her, for he was panting fairly heavily. Then he heard the completely unexpected 'boo' in his ear, to which he responded by jumping a mile high, simultaneously yelling "WHATTHEFRICK WHY" He landed with a whirl towards Liri, eyes wide and laughing.
She jerked in fear for a second, not expecting such a loud response. For a fleeting moment she thought he was mad and she began to cower in on herself, afraid of his response. But instead he began to laugh, she listened to it with her head cocked. He had a nice laugh, deep and unrestrained.

She grinned back at him before breaking out into laughter as well. It began as a small giggle but before long she was laughing as heartedly as Faramir, sprawled out in the grass on her back.

"Oh..oh man I got you good, you should've seen your face!", she exlaimed as she began to calm down. Her laughter began to subside and she glanced up at Faramir, upside down from her position, who looked like he was still recovering.
so sorry, been busy XD

They both spread out on the grass, laughing their asses off. He liked this girl, though he thought her behavior was concerning when he first turned. He had settled to attempted silence in between, but was always futile. He had to say, he liked the way their laughter blended in the bare canopy of the forest.

"Oh, I'm sure," he said, grinning at the upside down fae in the grass. He teased her by sticking his tongue out at her like a little pup.
A soft snort came from her at the sight of him sticking his tongue out. "What are you a weanling?", she smirked up at him before playfully sticking her own tongue out at him. She rolled, having to crane her head to look up at him. She stood not wanting to get a crick in her neck just to look at him. She shook the snow from her pelt, unsure what to do now.

"Guess I won,"she said to him somewhat smugly. She wasn't openly bragging but she was proud of herself for outdistancing the larger male. Her tail wagged in enthusiasm as she beamed up at him.
"It seems I am, but what are you?" he said with a grin. He watched her get up, and did likewise. The snow gave almost a glowing aura about him as he shook it off.

Faramir's tail wagged in turn, looking at her slyly. "Apparently." He looked over her shoulder, shouted suddenly "What was that?" and turned tail like hell was behind him.
She laughed at his childish response, rolling her eyes. Her ears flattened and her hackles raised when he shouted. She moved back from him, not wanting him to shout in her ears. Confusion seeped into her features, her brow furrowing. Suddenly, he was gone and running through the woods as if a monster were chasing him. Yeah thanks for the help asshole.

She knew had she been in his place she wouldn't have just left him, she would have stayed to protect him from whatever he had seen. What had he seen? She turned to peer into the woods expecting to see a murderous bear or cougar, perhaps a rogue wolf. Instead she saw...nothing. Absolutely nothing. The woods were quiet, only the scuttling of small creatures. No angry beasts waiting to eat her. So that begged the question..where had Faramir gone?
Faramir ran for a while, slowing down as he realized Liri wasn't behind him. He turned, confused, and came back into the silent clearing with the same expression. His head cocked to the side, as in saying, 'I thought we were still playing?'

The way she had reacted to him when he had shouted crept up on the back of his mind - which begged the question as of why. "Hey, do you not like shouting?" he asked softly.
She wasn't sure how to respond to his question. She would never admit that he scared her when he raised his voice or that anyone else did when they did the same. She didn't see herself telling him why exactly shouting scared her anytime soon either.

He didn't need her sob story, they had only just met. She didn't want the pity she had seen in Aaron's face when he had found out. That was worse than the yelling, once someone found out they never looked at you the same. So she shook it off playfully,"No you just startled me." She laughed a bit,"You got me back I guess."
I have severe creative block sorry :p Fade soon?

Faramir glanced at her with a mild worried look. He'd go with it for now, but something troubled him deep down. A reaction like that didn't come from a simple scaring. It almost seemed like she was expecting worse. "Well alright..." he said warily. Attempting to move on from the situation, he tried to resume his previous playfulness.

"What do ya wanna do now? Explore?" he said with a light smile and wagging tail.
yeah that's okay. I get it sometimes too. Last from me

She could tell he didn't quite believe her, she had always been a terrible liar. But she ignored it hoping he would do the same. She nodded happily to his suggestion, getting up to follow him. "Let's go Faramir-Sharamir,"she teased playfully as she moved off into the woods.
