@Sage :)

The night fell early in the winter, and all wolves in Phantom Hollow were slumbering. All except for the queen. She was wide awake, laying next to her beloved king. Her yellow eyes scanned their den, eyeing for the opening in the dark. She needed a walk, otherwise she would be awake all night. She maneuvered her way past the massive body of her lover, being careful not to wake him. It was tricky, one paw almost stepping on his tail, but somehow she managed to get to the den opening. She sighed in relief as the tenseness of her body vanished. Nailed it

She looked outside, eyeing for the stars she had been told about as a pup as well as her whole life. It was Avalon who had taught her almost everything, though she still had a lot to learn. The tree tops were blocking her vision however, and she grunted softly. She loved watching the lights in the sky when she couldn't sleep, though mother nature had other plans apparently. Oh well, perhaps just outside of the forest she could see the lights she so utterly adored. She padded toward their border, passing every den in the process, leaving her scent right at everyone's doorstep. This was not intentionally however, it was simply the quickest way to their border.

Finally, she reached a spot just outside their borders on the west side of their pack. The view she had now was absolutely mesmerizing. To her right she saw the mountains, lit by the moon, in their full glory. It was a clear night tonight, indicating that it would be colder tomorrow probably. Couldn't winter be over already? Oh well, can't argue with mother nature on that one. She sat down in the grass, her muzzle pointed at the sky. To the North, she could see the bright star called the North Star. Her eyes made her way past Draco, to the Ursa Minor. These were the only stars she could locate this evening, but she knew of more. Avalon and her always sneaked out to locate them, though he was better at it. She always confused certain stars for other ones, while he had it mapped inside his mind. She had been so jealous of him.

Those were really the good times... Now, she needed someone else to talk about the stars that intrigued her so much.
Sage was indifferent towards the early night in the winter time, she'd been having trouble falling asleep, every time she tried it only ended with her restlessly churning in her den and making exasperated sighs every so often. She managed about five minutes asleep before she was interrupted by the sound of a crow cawing in the distance. Although she had been a lone wolf her entire life, her den had a strange emptiness to it, wishing for it to be filled with another presence, wolf or not. Growing tired of her lack of, well, being tired, she made her way out of her home to the other open dark void, only shedding light through the moon and stars. Ah, the stars, they reminded her of Madam Julie who taught her multiple things of being a naturalist.

Her mind began to delve into her past, only making her more depressed she'd never be able to return to it. Her time joining Moonhill had been exciting, but it made her dwell in what her life used to be. Regretting every moment she took to think of it. Sages eyes danced from star to star, then leading her to notice through the tree tops that the moonlight happened to shine through. It was difficult to see that much in the sky, with the branches of the Phantom Hallow trees blocking the sky from its potential. The dark wolf trotted her way through her land, in hopes of finding a way to fully see the stars.

The girl subconsciously smelled the now familiar scent of Malice, she must have been awake as well. Sage's head tilted to the side, What is she doing up?  The girl asked herself, perhaps she was just as restless as herself. This was her chance to speak to her female alpha and grow a better relationship. Once following the smell, and crossing the border she began to grow a little wary. Having met Nemesis out here and having a rather rude conversation, she didn't wish to spark up another similar situation. The sky grew open the more she trekked on, only supporting her ideas that the alpha had been having a less than tired night. She then saw Malice lying out in the grass looking at the sky.

Sage slowed her pace and began to approach her leader, giving her a questionable look if she was allowed to lay beside her.
Hover for translation of the words written in the italic font :) Also a pretty short post as I just woke up and I'm really tired :P

Her muzzle pointed toward the Yonder, one ear swiveled back on her head as she heard footsteps nearing. Was it a critter? Had she awakened anyone back at the dens? She turned her head, now towards the young'un who was approaching her. The wind turned, giving the queen a whiff of the other's smell, telling her it was none other than Sage. The look on her moonlit face told enough, and Malice gave a small nod, a warm smile on her muzzle. Had she awakened their current gamma? Or had she been just as restless as the daughter of Lucifer herself.

Did I wake you, young'un? She asked, her voice raspy due to her soar throat.
Sage's ears lifted at her accusation, not wanting her alpha to feel like she troubled her sleep she quickly jumped to correct her original thoughts. "No! I was just having a difficult time sleeping,"she admitted. "I walked out of my den, only to catch your smell and decided to see what had you awake." This was perfect for her, wanting to grow closer to her female leader in the first place. What were the chances of the two of them to be restless on the same night? She laid down beside Malice, but kept a comfortable amount of space between the two of them. "What kept you up?" She question, tilting her head to the side, but still focused on the stars in the sky.

It's alright! Mines a little short too, I'm in a bit of a rush.
Totally fine :D hover for translation on words with a line under it.

As bright as the northern star was the queen's smile when she heard she hadn't awoken the girl. Thank goodness. It was almost as if it was planned that the two of them would be awake this exact night, both restless and now watching the same starry yonder. Sometimes, the queen questioned if her life had been planned, woven into many other's fates. It were at night's like this she thought about it. What were her chances of her meeting Cog? What were her chances of starting a pack that now almost felt like family? She didn't know, she only knew that time, that went only forwards, would tell.

What a lucky coincidence then... She almost whispered, not wanting to strain her voice more than she had already done. Plus, now it was easier for the young'un to hear her, seeing as how she had taken place beside the daughter of Lucifer. Her ying-yang muzzle was pointed at the yonder again, her eyes now scanning the stars that formed Draco. She didn't know the answer to the girl's question, but would try to explain it with comments about fate.

I do not know, actually. Perhaps it was my fate that is intertwined with yours that wanted to keep me restless, knowing that we would meet... She said, her eyes still scanning the sparkling yonder. Are you interested in the stars, all the way up there in the yonder?
Sage noticed her alpha's gruff voice, but said nothing of it. It made sense for her voice to be scarce, after all the howling and talking she had to do with her rank. Malice made a point that it could have been fate that kept the two of them awake, which she didn't disagree with at all. In the past, her only parent-like figure was Madam Julie, a very superstitious wolf who seemed to hold too many beliefs at once. She wasn't as steadfast to jump towards the unexplained like Julie had, but fate could definitely play a part in this.

Julie was a naturalist, and strived to teach Sage all she knew, her not having children herself made it hard to pass her knowledge, so the witch doctor told her everything she could, including stars. "Yes, always have been always will, do you know much about the stars?" Perhaps this could be a learning experience for the two of them, she may even gain one step closer to her ambition of a naturalist trade.
Writer's block much, sorry XD

The queen's smile intensified as the other revealed that she was interested in the stars. She had yet to meet anyone with a passion for it, but this counted, right? She didn't know much about the stars, but more than the average wolf for sure. Avalon had been studying the stars since they were pups and told her everything he knew, but he was always better.

I do. I've been taught about it by one of my closest friends when I was younger. She said, returning her gaze to the girl beside her. Would you like to hear what I know?
She sparked with interest, just learning the smallest bit from the stars made her delighted, always finding the twinkling sparkles intriguing. "I'd love if you'd be willing to share," Sage admitted, glancing over at Malice before returning to the dark sky. Her tail flicked back and forth as a sign of interest. Malice mentioned how she was taught of the sky when she was young, only reminding herself of when she was taught such things by Julie.
The queen smiled softly again, enjoying her restless night together with a pack member. A tingly feeling in her belly began itching, almost exploding with joy as she once again had someone to look at the stars with. Doing it alone was fun, but Malice always found that with more souls, the more joy they could feel. That was also one of the main reasons why she decided to start a pack. That, and because the life of a loner was kind of tough.

She returned her gaze to the dark blue, gesturing with her muzzle for Sage to look at the bright star just above the mountains. It was one of the more important one's, she knew, as it was one of the brightest. It wasn't hard to spot, and deep down there was the possibility that Sage already knew that star. Still, Malice wanted to start at the beginning.

You see that bright one? Just above the mountains?
Sage was glad she joined Moonlit, and although the occasional dark thought of running away crept into her mind now and then, she always would stay loyal and never actually do the unjustful deed. Her tail wagged slightly, hope and joy filling her as well, but she contained it rather well. Never being the one to leap with joy or the "bubbly" type. Malice had mentioned if she could see a large star just above the mountains, and pointed her muzzle in its direction. The yearling nodded, and tilted her head, staring at the sole star. "What about it?" She question, not removing her gaze from the far away sun.
How many posts till we wrap this up? 2 both or something? :P

She smiled softly as both of their muzzles were lit up by the moon, making them true Moonlit wolves. She stared at the star that she had pointed out, and as soon as the other announced that she saw it, she explained why that one was important. It was important mostly for navigating, whether as a loner or not. Plus, it was probably one of the most easiest stars to spot.

That's the North star, or Polaris if you want to be precise. As the name already gives away, it's located to the north, making it really important for navigators that travel at night. She explained, keeping her voice a whisper, not wanting to disturb the silence. It's part of the Little Dipper, or Ursa Minor. She said, now just wanting to ramble on and on about the stars that intrigued her. And if you go directly down from Polaris, if the mountains weren't there, you could see the star that is part the Big Dipper, or Ursa Mayor.
Two posts from each is good, I meant to compliment you on your new avatar earlier but it's quite lovely!

Sage was always fascinated in the night sky, and in her pasts with naturalists the girl only stumbled upon a rather crazy herbalist, who knew some of the stars, but not as much as Malice seemed to know. Her eyes followed along as the alpha spoke, she would make sure to remember this knowledge for future reference, maybe she could teach someone herself one day, just as Malice was now. Moonlit seemed to be only good for her, as she often tried to discover more about the starry nights, usually failing in the attempt, finally had the opportunity to learn.

"That's a lot to remember..." She commented, showing off a small smile. It wouldn't be too hard, since she had been interested anyway, remembering would be a breeze—hopefully. "Perhaps one day I'll travel far enough to see the uh..." the yearling searched her mind, "Ursa Mayor."
Thank chuu!! ^_^ :)

Despite the queen's excitement, her eyelids were beginning to get heavier. She didn't want to go back, not because she was lazy, but because she was having so much fun. But it wouldn't be long until the sun would show up, making it impossible for them to even see the flickering lights in the sky. It was beginning to get pretty cold too, maybe because they weren't between the trees anymore. She yawned, definitely not of boredom. She looked over to the other girl, looking if she was beginning to get tired too before she commented. It was indeed a lot to remember, but if someone was truly interested in something, Malice believed they could remember it till the day they lost interest.

Yes, but luckily I won't be going anywhere anytime soon, so you can always ask me again. She said before Sage said something very inspiring. Perhaps the whole pack would one day see the Ursa Mayor, one day indeed. I'm sure you will, one day... She said dreamy, her eyes going back to the night sky. She yawned again before saying, You think you can sleep again now? It's getting pretty late.
Sage, too, was growing a bit tired. Their time together was fun, she would look forward to the next, but for now it seemed he time to sleep. It wouldn't be long for her usual wake-up time anyway, so, slowly standing up, muscles begging for her to lay back down and rest her head, she looked down at Malice and showed one more content smile. "I best be going to my den now, thanks for your time Malice, can't wait till the next." She shot her one more grin, before moving her way back towards the hollows, back towards her den, back towards sleep. Her Alpha's words were inspiring and supportive, indeed, perhaps they all could stare upon...Ursa Mayor. It took a lot longer for her to return home than it was to leave, before her being wide awake, and now her being half asleep. She was thankful for the time they spent together, and glad she could connect so well to her queen.

I'll go ahead and archive ^^
