It had taken Falcon some time and some aimless wandering north of his position to reach a river whose name he did not know and followed it east, figuring that it would lead him to a herd; not that he could hope to take down anything sizable on his own, as it was. Still, animals: of all sizes were lured towards bodies of water so they could drink in presumed peace. He'd caught a raccoon earlier in the morning, washing it's paws in the river and had caught it off it's guard, disrupting it's bath/drink. It had scrambled onto the ice that had began to freeze in an attempt to evade the hungry phantom. It sorely under estimated Falcon's lack of caution when it came to his hunger. After skidding and narrowly avoiding falling through the ice as it rapidly began to fissure he had eventually caught his stubborn meal after skidding to the safety of the opposite bank, though the defiant and offending creature had managed to leave him a scratch on his nose, which now, several hours later had begun to itch.

“Infernal rat,” was Falcon's ungracious grumble under his breath as he paused upon following the bank of the Greatwater Lake to rub his paw uselessly at his nose. If anything the action only prove to further irritate the injury and with a brooding snap and resulting click as his jaws and teeth collided he turned his frosted blue eye to the sunny afternoon sky, giving it a dark glower as if it would be enough to cause the sun to recede from it's cheery disposition in the easter egg blue sky.
