I have no idea what Im writing. But its AW!

Since the abrupt meeting and Lasher's decision that no wolf should pass beyond the borders of Donnelaith, Eigma had grown a bit antsy. It wasn't something she was used to -- even when injured and dealing with her recovery, there was the chance she could leave at a moment's notice had her body been able. This was an entirely different thing. Being unable to roam freely as she was want to do - it might have saved her from the teeth of the pirates, but she was a warrior, and her rogue lifestyle made her well suited to dealing with brigands. She obeyed Lasher's decree only because she respected him; and this was what she had wanted back in Skigamslet. A king, a ruler, someone to take charge and make decisions -- but it was the unjust limiting of freedom that she found troublesome. Why be afraid of the coast wolves? They were wolves themselves, able to fight tooth and claw.

Not only was Eigma put-off by this limitation, but she found it quite difficult to follow through with her plan for the children. Could she slip beyond the border markers on the hunt for birds and rabbits? Would she be chastised for such a bold move? She had Lasher's blessing, but that occurred before the man's son had been found on the beach. The pack was still shaken by the death of one of their own -- and Eigma, accustomed to the deaths of rogues, did not know how to handle the morose mood of the pack as of late. It felt like the wolves of Donnelaith were on-edge, afraid of the fringes of their own home. Had Eigma cared less for Lasher and the forest home he provided, perhaps she would have fled -- or perhaps she would have rallied a group of like-minded warriors and taken the fight straight to the doorstep of the scoundrels. As it was, Eigma had no idea what to do with herself.

She wanted to help, but didn't know how. In the end her attempt to hunt for small gifts for the children was stalemated; she could not find what she desired within the territory, not with the constraints as they were, so she gave up. With a huff, she began to patrol the fringes herself -- tempted to slip beyond them even for just a moment, but adhering to the new rules.
ooc: I believe that these two haven't met each other yet? :)

Osprey's life hadn't changed much since the decree - yes, it was a little frustrating to be confined within the borders and not being able to wander, whenever and wherever she wished so, but she tried to think around the obvious obstacle and focus more one exploring the lands that were still free to roam. She had become stronger - daily hunting and scavenging raids didn't exhaust her as much as it had before. And the spring was coming - days were longer and warmer, the earth and what remained of snow smelled differently, there were the first birds singing and more importantly she felt the change in herself too. This gave her hope that maybe she was given another chance to have children.

She was near the borders, patrolling, when she noticed another soul not too far off. A wolf she might have spotted at the meeting, but never spoken to directly. Osprey cast a quick glance around to be sure that no one else was around and then proceeded to walk towards the girl. Once she was at hearing's distance, she stopped and called out with a quiet bark.
She was milling about, unsure, thoughtful, when a call broke the stillness. Eigma turned her head sharply, her ears pivoting; but she need not look far, as a stranger was approaching. Initially she thought it was Dante. The stranger had a similar build and tone, but when they were nearer, Eigma noticed the slight difference in her scent. She did carry Dante's scent with her, draped across her like a fine perfume, but this was a wholly different being.

Hello, she called out to the other, letting the thoughts in her head drift away for the time being. If this woman was a friend of Dante's, she knew she could be trusted. Then again, any wolf of Donnelaith could be trusted - they were her allies, her family, now. Eigma smiled as peacefully she could, studying the other woman with calm detachment before closing the distance herself. Doing a patrol? I see I'm not the only one eager for the pirates' demise. for the sooner the coastal raiders were gone, the sooner the wolves of Donnelaith could wander.
If Osprey was asked to describe the she-wolf that approached her in few words - she would say "impressive" and "at the time and place, where she should be". A guardian material at the first glance. "I do believe that many if not all in the pack share the same wish," she replied, thinking longingly about the lands beyond the borders and secrets they held. Then there were at least three people that lived far off that she wanted and eventually had to meet. Being trapped for very long was not a cheerful prospect.

"I think that we have passed each other now and then, but never properly introduced," she smiled and swayed her tail few times. "My name is Osprey and, though I am an old member of the pack, I haven't been the  most social creature in the past few months. Time to change that - how may I call you?"
Eigma, she answered plainly, letting a smile fall upon her face as she spoke. It is nice to meet you, Osprey. Thus far I've only had the opportunity to meet the menfolk, at this comment she let out a small laugh, but did not elucidate. She knew very few among the ranks of Donnelaith, but that was in part because of her own rogue-style of life. Even in a pack, she felt out of place when faced with groups. How long have you lived here with Lasher? she asked next. Small talk wasn't one of her skills, but Eigma was eager to learn about the Donnelaith wolves, and about this woman before her.
"Well, we don't live in this exact location for very long," Osprey had lost the track of months, but the time-span spent here was shorter than the one they had spent at the Blacktail deer plateau. "Before that we lived further inlands and I have known the trio of the leaders for years now," come to think of it - the ease they had become her friends and eventually family members was remarkable.

"Really?" she let out a chuckle, when Eigma mentioned meeting men-folk only. "I was under impression that Donnelaith consisted mainly of beautiful, clever and tough ladies." With Blue willow and her daughter Eilidh at the forefront and then the rest of them. "We can continue patrol and talk at the same time," she offered, sensing that her companion was not much of a small-talk person and hoping that perhaps, while doing something she was good at, would help her to ease up.

"What are your origins - pack of valkyries from Valhalla, amazons of the jungle? Perhaps the descendant of Greek demi-gods?" she asked.
Osprey swiftly outlined her history with the pack, and when she mentioned tough ladies, Eigma smirked. She didn't doubt that there were such entities here, but she had yet to meet them herself - aside from this gray woman, who fit in well with the description. I've been tended to by medics, but I don't remember it. Thus far only Lasher and Dante have been my companions, and.. Well, I'm not sure if Dante really counts. He seemed less than thrilled by my arrival. No doubt the entire pack had heard of the rescue Lasher had performed, saving her from the mountainside and bringing her all the way back to Donnelaith. Had Eigma been less wild, perhaps she would have taken solace in the company of others - but this was her way. Being on her own, staying out of the way of the pack wolves, she couldn't imagine living any differently.

Valkyries? she muttered, having never heard the word before as Osprey spoke it; her ears flicked at each more ridiculous claim fell from her lips, and then Eigma was chuckling to herself. I'm nothing so mystical. My origins are lackluster at best. She shook her head softly, finding the very idea of being descended of gods to be wholly unrealistic and ridiculous. I come from a place called Skigamslet. It is an unruly place, and though many have tried to form some kind of government or structure, it never sticks. I've been a rogue my whole life - until now, obviously. And it was a mighty change from what she was used to.
Osprey hid well her surprise in finding out that this particular wolf had been at Donnelaith not only for a while, but her arrival here had also been quite eventful. And she had missed it or not paid attention, when Dante hadn't said anything about this character. However, judging from the fact that he was not mentioning her name now either, it couldn't be so that the lady was still in his bad books. From Osprey's point of view - she did not see any reason, why Eigma should be.

"Skigamslet sounds just as good as any of the places I spoke of earlier," she said, hoping to see the she-wolf smiling again. Even if it was at the expense of the supposed nonsense she was talking about. "I am quite the opposite - been a pack wolf most of my life. And during the episodes, when I have been on my own... I have found that I don't enjoy it," if fate would have it her last summer's unwanted adventure was going to be the final one. She did not intend to leave the pack anymore. "But it's probably different for you - has the transition been difficult for you?"

They spent the rest of their time getting to know each other and later going their separate ways if not as friends than good acquaintances at least.
