Coeus had wandered off from Depp's territory, this was a vast land mass, and Coeus wanted to explore it before committing anywhere. It wasn't that he didn't wish to join a pack, not at all Coeus just needed time to adjust to this new land. Worst that could happen is that he would be attacked and even then from what he had seen most of the wolves in these parts were smaller than he. No matter, he didn't like thinking about fighting, he had enough of it back home.
He trotted across the colder part of the region; it was strangely home like to him, good and cold just the way he liked it. Of course, in the back of mind was the possibility he was treading on someone's territory, but hey he had a good excuse, he was new the lay of the land and needed to obtain a feel for the area. He found himself in the middle of a crisp hollow, light patches of melting snow around him. "Maybe I went too far alone..." he admitted to himself, he should of spent more time looking where he was going and less time thinking about potential threats.
