@Lunar Eclipse

Esaro was on a mission, he needed to find something before Luna catches something. He wanted to run but with his little injury that wasn't easy. Maybe he's been passing by several interesting plants without knowing. The thought was frustrating, how could he find something interesting without knowing the characteristic of everything around him. Maybe he should just pick a random plant and hope it could be interesting.

Choose one and stayed in front of it. He didn't know anything about it so he stared at it (FeverFew). The flowers on it recently bloomed, they had a yellow center with many little white pedals. It's leaves grew at every side on the branch to a certain point. The flowers were at the highest point while it looked like the leaves took the place of anything lower. The next question was what could be used, what it does, and where exactly did it grow. He wondered about taking a bite at it to taste it but he remembered Spring saying it was dangerous to self teach. He remained there puzzled, how was he ever going to figure this out.
In another part of the woods, Lunar was crouched low to the ground stalking after the promising scent of a rabbit. She was careful to keep downwind of it, ears tipped forward as she listened to the forest sounds around her.

She followed after the scent which led her to the burrow of the rabbit. The medium sized brown mammal had just disappeared into its home, darting out of sight.

She found herself crouched next to it, waiting for the fuzzy creature to return. It did so, after an hour of tense sitting by the hole. When it reappeared she quickly snatched it up in her jaws.

It let out a squeal of fear as it kicked widly in panic, one sharp clawed foot scratching shallow but bloody gashes that only just missed her left eye. She clamped down and a sickening crack was heard.

With limp rabbit in jaws she headed off to find Esaro, ignoring the sting of the cuts on her face which had stained the snowy white fur a crimson.
He remained in place, puzzled. He was hoping an answer would just suddenly appear into his mind. He was staring at the plant expecting it to give some sort of sign. He waited and waited then soon gave up. How was he ever suppose to learn on his own so he could show off and impress others. Maybe it was better to move onto another plant. Perhaps some plants did have some sort of clue on them.

Sooner than expect he heard steps coming his way. He turned to see who it was, It was Luna! 'oh no, not yet! I didn't find anything interesting!' He thought while giving her an awkward smile. "Oh, hello there Luna." The first thing he looked at was the rabbit but then noticed blood near her left eye. Those cuts look fresh too. "You're cut!" He said as if her injury was very bad. He started looking around randomly at all the nearby plants. What was he suppose to do again?! He has to do something or she might die from infection!

Esaro mind was making to situation feel like it was a matter of life and death. In reality the cut she had was likely pretty much harmless and would just heal on it's own, but he didn't believe that after having been treated by Spring.
She dropped the rabbit at his feet wordlessly before sitting. She cocked her head to the side at the panic in his voice upon seeing the scratches. They were small really, stinging only a tiny bit after she had gotten scratched initially.

"They're just a few scratches," she told him with a small shrug. She would be fine so long as she kept them clean. That could be done easily, by simply splashing a bit of water on her face. In truth the wounds looked worse than they were for head wounds often bled more than others.
He couldn't spot any horsetail to give to Luna. Spring said that it helps against infections, but what he didn't know was the amount that is needed. What was he suppose to do? Wait! He was going this in the wrong order. First the injury needed to be cleaned. He needs moss! He circled around a little and spotted some on a tree. He took some and then realized there was no nearby water source. There was no time to go look for one. Luna might get infected if he doesn't hurry!

Then he remembered what the old wolf said. Saliva was more effective than water. He dropped the moss and looked a Luna. There's no way she could lick her own cuts. He was just going to have to do it for her and save her life. He approached her "Let me lick your cut." He demanded. "Shreya said Saliva was effective for cleaning." He was not hesitating at all and went straight for above her left cheek where the cut was. If this was how he was suppose to save her from infection he would lick as much as it takes.
"Esaro, really I think I'll live." She laughed a bit as he talked of licking her cut. Had the wound been within reach she would have done so herself but it was no big deal. She could always splash up in the river.

While she had new found feelings for Esaro she had been taught that licking another's face was an intimate gesture, reserved for lovers or mates. It made her nervous as he approached and she scooted back a bit. "I'm okay, you don't have to clean it."
Esaro was convinced that the risk of infection was very serious. He may be exaggerating but he strongly believed something had to be done just to be safe. If Luna started suffering from her injuries it would be his fault for not being able to make it better. Before Esaro too believed injuries would heal on their own without any sort of help but Spring taught him that it was possible to die from infection. There was no way he would let that happen to Luna. If he'll do everything to make sure that never happens.

Luna scooted back, avoiding him. He didn't really understand, maybe she thought it would heal on it's own too like he believed at first. "But it might get infected if it isn't cleaned now. Spring said it's possible to die from infections. I don't want that happening to you." He explained. He approached her again insisting that he licks her cuts clean. He hoped this time she wasn't going to avoid him. Time was against them wasn't it?
She decided to just let him lick it so he would calm down. She wasn't in the north anymore, no one would send disapproving looks her way if he licked her. She wouldn't be punished for it either.

With a small sigh she nodded. "Okay, fine. I still think you're being overdramatic though." She chuckled a bit at his antics. She sat once more, waiting for him to come closer and just do it. It was going to sting like a bitch though, saliva always did.
Maybe he was exaggerating a little, Spring did hint that some injuries can heal themselves. "Even if it's not that dangerous, it's always better to be on the safe side." He accepted the idea that he could be thinking this was far more serious than it actually was. He was no expert but he did want to do what he could to make sure the risk stayed low.

He was happy that Luna finally let him do what was needed. As he got closer and was just about to lick her cuts gently however at the last step and tripped over something and lost all his balance. Only his front side was collapsing which caused him to lower himself. With the little momentum he had going he was just going to end up bumping his head onto her chest. If Luna managed to hold her ground it would allow him to catch himself but if she didn't resist and ending up falling he would fall along with her.
She grew apprehensive as he approached tensing her muscles a bit, knowing it would hurt. But suddenly Esaro tripped, it happened so fast that before she could blink he was stumbling directly into her.

While Lunar was muscular for her build she was still on the small size even for an arctic wolf. She tried to catch him, truly she did, but she simply wasn't strong enough. Esaro wasn't exactly large but he was much larger than she.

With an oomph she fell to the ground, him landing on her chest. It was painful as she was forced onto her back and smooshed by Esaro's weight. She wheezed painfully at the weight directly on her chest, noting a bit ironically in some corner of her mind that she was being crushed by her crush.
I'd find it funny to have someone walk in on them :D

He tried to catch himself but even with Luna's small help it wasn't enough to keep them both from falling. While she landed on her back he ending landing on her chest. Realizing that he was hurting her he quickly to got his weight back onto his paws. "I'm so sorry." He said as he stood above her now. He made another mistake was there a way to correct it? That he didn't know but he felt pretty bad for crushing her.

He looked at her and was reminded what he was going to do to the point he forgot he was standing above her. He needed to lick her cuts clean. "Please don't move." He said as he gently attempted to lick her cuts at her left eye. If he was given the chance to clean her minor injuries he would still be standing above her once he was finished, not realizing that he was restricting her ability to get up. He still too concern about the little cuts that he didn't notice the scene he was creating.
I ship it. :3 #Lunsaro

The absence of the weight and the sudden rush of blood through her crushed vessels hurt almost worst than being smooshed. Lunar had always had a high pain tolerance though so she simply coughed as she was suddenly able to breathe again.

Just as the small female was about to rise again he asked her not to move. He leaned over her as he gently licked at the wounds adorning her features. It should have hurt but she was too busy trying not to notice just how close he was, fur mingling and he licking at her face.

According to the body language of wolves it should've seemed like an aggresive posture, her on her back below him and he standing above her. However it did not feel that way as she stared up at him silently, swallowing thickly as she failed at not noticing his close proximity.
or Esana? lol

Esaro was finally able to start the cleaning. As he gently licked Luna's cuts around her left eye he ended up with a little taste of blood. That could only confirm that there really was a little injury. He had to make sure he got everything while on the job. He took some extra time to be sure everything around her left eye was licked cleaned. Once he was done he raised his head and sighed with relief. Now that was done there was nothing to worry about anymore.

He was starting to realize the position he was in but it didn't cross his mind that it was something awkward. With Luna staring up at him he caught sight of her eyes. Being so close to her he was able to get a great view of them. They were actually quite beautiful that he found himself distracted by them. He blinked for a moment and decided to say something. "You really do have pretty eyes."
Were she not a wolf she would have been blushing as red as the maples that grew in the Maplewood. As it was her tense form had relaxed some under him as she realized how warm he was. It didn't feel half bad, it didn't feel as if he were trying to dominate her as it would if another wolf had her in this position.

When he was done she expected him to move away but he surprised her. He thought she had pretty eyes? "T-thanks," she managed to stutter out. She wasn't used to compliments and she was having trouble looking him in the eyes. Usually that meant aggression but fighting Esaro was the farthest thing from her mind.
Esaro grinned a little she thanked him. He also noticed her stuttering and wonder if she was uncomfortable with what he said. He really did mean what he told her, now there would be no way for him to ever forget the close up of her eyes. When she looked away he just blinked at her and wondered if there was something wrong. The moment was silent up until he remembered she brought her catch, That must be it. "Oh yeah, you caught a rabbit didn't you?" He decided to step back (finally freeing her) and then turned around to see where the rabbit was left at.

He moved towards the catch and then starting feeling a little bad. He never did find anything interesting. Instead of taking it he sat down next to it. "I was hoping to at least entertain you with something interesting, but I got nothing. Are you sure you want to give this to me?" He said as he felt like he didn't really deserve it. Luna probably worked on catching that rabbit. The Least he could do was make it worth the effort but how was he suppose to do that?
Lunar rose somewhat shakily after her experience with Esaro. She glanced at the rabbit she had caught, remembering why they had met up and why he had been on her in the first place. She nodded even though the question seemed rhetorical.

She was never one for many words. She walked over and sat near him, nudging the rabbit over to him. She had caught it for him not herself, she wasn't about to go back in that even though he hasn't found any herbs. "You haven't been able to hunt. I know you, Esaro. You probably feel bad eating from the pack's caches, so you probably haven't been eating as much. Just take it." It was an assumption but a clever one although she wasn't completely sure it was correct.
Luna was right. Out of all he's done for the pack he didn't feel like he deserved to take anything from the caches. But with his injury he couldn't hunt either. "I do feel bad for taking from the cache. All I've done so far was bring trouble for the pack." Esaro knew fully well that if he wants to live he needs to eat. He didn't have the will to argue, he figured he would just be on the wrong side if he does. He decided to just accept it.

He put a paw over the rabbit and looked at Luna. "One day I'll return the favor, That I promise." Even if this was just to help him he truly felt indebted to the whole pack. He wasn't allowed to just sit around otherwise he'd just be pulling the pack down. "But really, Thank you for helping me." He said, feeling the urge to get close to her. Somewhere in his heart he was starting to feel attached to her kindness. He wanted to express his gratitude but he was unsure how.
She shook her head. "You have caused problems, I admit it. I won't lie. You messed up but you're not all bad. You came with us on the pack hunt and helped fell the deer. You came with us to the Emberwood, you would have fought with us, for us if it came to that. You're trying to learn so you can contribute."

Lunar smiled as she concluded her little speech. Sure Esaro made mistakes but he was trying so hard to be good. She could appreciate that even if he had done some bad stuff. Hopefully, he could see that. It wasn't healthy to think of yourself as always messing up, she knew from experience.
Luna listed all that he has done to help out but really he was just there all those times. He didn't know what he was doing and was glad nothing was really asked of him. It made him feel a little lucky, If something really did go bad it would have likely been his fault since he wouldn't be able to pull his own weight. He really was trying to be better but he was just unsure of his progress. There was something he was missing, something important but what was it?

"But, I'm so unsure of myself. I just don't know what is the right thing to do." He said as he looked at her eyes. "Even now, I want to show you how grateful I am to you but I'm just not sure how to show it, What if I do something wrong again?" He said softly. Esaro confidence when it came for him to make a decision completely faded when it was about something no one told him how to handle. He was too afraid to mess things up again that all he trusted were the words of others.
"No one's completely sure of themselves all the time. You don't have to do anything, I'm just trying to be a good friend." She left out how she had more than friendly feelings towards him. Esaro wasn't the only one felt unsure of themselves, plenty of people questioned their actions.

She didn't know how he had planned to show his gratitude towards her but it wasn't necessary. He was her friend, she knew he would've helped her if it was the other way around.
If anything, Esaro wanted to be that good friend too. To be able to help the other when they need it. The friendship stuff was all about giving and return. But Esaro was feeling unbalanced. He's been getting more than he was able to return. He was getting heavy with all of it, making him feel like a burden to everyone. He didn't like that feeling at all.

"Don't you ever feel the need that you have to return the favor? Like if I gave you something, wouldn't you want to give something back?" He asked, wanting to know how Luna felt about that.

Esaro started to wonder what it would have been like if he was talking about this with someone else. He'd probably be told to stop thinking like that and just do something. That was exactly what he wanted to do, but no one gave him a clear answer on what he should really be doing. Should he just continue trying as he is even if it may be wrong?
She grimaced slightly, no one had ever really helped her before. Spring had been giving her lessons alongside Esaro but that wasn't exactly personal, it was more for the benefit of the pack. No one had ever really given her a gift or helped her when she was injured and/or sick. She had always been on her own back home.

"If I had been injured I probably would have just avoided you and Spring. I would have passed the message on to Reek but I would've tried to take care of myself. It's just how I am,"she shrugged a bit. "I don't usually accept help from anyone or food or anything like that."

It was true, even on the pack hunt she had given up her portion for the chubby charcoal pup,Desna. She had never asked anyone in the pack for anything except for permission to join. She only seemed to give not receive.
"If you were injured I would want to help you and I'm sure Spring would too. If you avoided me, I would feel like you didn't trust me at all." He said in an honest tone. It was hard to believe Luna would really do such a thing. A pack is suppose to help each other right? Why would try to handle something on her own? If she wasn't able to hunt then how would she get food? "If I thought like you then I would already be dead by now." Unless he had managed to survive all of it. If that would have ever been the case he surely would have been much stronger than he is now.

"But what if you needed help? Would you still refuse?" He asked wondering if Luna really was a solo wolf.
"I suppose I would seek help then. I'm just stubborn I guess. It doesn't matter though you're the one that's injured not me." Her words were honest and she hoped it had put thoughts of gratitude out of his head.

Her feeling were complex. She liked Esaro, had romantic feelings for him. She still didn't like accepting things from people though or receiving attention. It had been ingrained in her to shy from these things, that she didn't deserve them. She felt the same now, that she hadn't done anything special and therefore didn't deserve thanks.
He listened and remembered something Laika said to him. Luna was the perfect example of what Laika wanted. An independent wolf, one that could survive on it's on. Esaro was the exact opposite. He couldn't even try because he was injured. Once he is healed he was going to try to take care of himself more, or at the very least, try.

"I guess if I want to be better, I need to be just as independent as you." He paused for a moment while looking at the rabbit. "But I can't start yet because of my injury. If you don't mind could you let me eat this rabbit before we go looking for some interesting plants?" He asked and then started taking a bite from the rabbit. There really isn't much he could do right now so might as well do something that could be useful to do, like look at plants!
