With a sigh she sat, wondering how Spring would take her news. She would probably be angry Lunar decided, Spring was extremely loyal to Saena. Her opinion didn't matter as much as Esaro's did to Lunar but it still held weight.

Wasting no time, she lifted her head and howled. She sat down, staring around the Maplewood knowing she would be leaving soon, probably never coming back.
Picking up the sight of Lunar Eclispe, Spring felt a little bit of happiness fuzz through her pelt.  Maybe she could ask Luna to go on a hunt with her. The cache could always get fuller, plus it would be fun.  Little did Spring know that this information that actually awaited her.  The information that would hurt her.

Spring began to pad over to her white furred friend.  "Hey Luna!"  Spring called out to her.  "What's up?  Wanna go on a little hunting session?"  Spring asked Luna.  A playful twinge to her voice.
Spring soon appeared, all smiles as she asked Luna to accompany her. She shook her head sadly, what she would say would hurt Spring she knew that clear as she knew her own name. Spring was loyal to a fault and if sides were to be chosen she would be on Saena's.

"I can't Spring. I called you so I could..to say goodbye. I'm leaving," she told her friend. She wasn't as close to her as she was Esaro but she had still counted her as a friend, one who would be even more hurt if she just left without saying goodbye. She could only hope now that Spring wouldn't hate her for her decision.
Spring world just seemed to stop for a moment as Luna explained she was leaving.  Spring was just utterly speechless.  She tried to say something, but no words came out.  Only a pathetic disbelieving croak.  Spring eyes began to seem sunken, her ears fell back, her posture broke into a slump, and her tail drooped.  All she could manage was one simple word.  There was simply nothing else she could say.  “Why?”  It came out as a quiet word, so quiet it would barely reach her friends ears, yet just loud enough so that it would.  Spring didn’t understand.  Lunar Eclipse hadn’t even finished her herbal training!  The white furred girl had so much left to do here.  Still Luna had to have a good reason.  Spring continued to just stare disbelievingly into the distance, awaiting Luna’s answer.

It was odd though... what had even made Lunar Eclipse want to leave.  She had everything here!  Friends above all.  The only reason she could think of was so that Luna could follow and go after Tavi and Reek... but that could never be true!  Luna had a good enough brain to not go after that no good cheating male and badly tempered annoying girl.  Luna had enough sense, Spring just knew it!  Did she?...
Her heart clenched at her friend's sadness but it wouldn't stop her. Her decision was made. Hopefully, Spring would understand why she was going.

"I'm following after Reek and Tavi. I don't know Saena, I don't feel as if I could follow her. I was loyal to Reek, I still am. So I'm going to join them." After her explanation she waited to see if Spring would get angry, perhaps even physical.
Lunar’s answer made Spring just want to beat her now former friend to pulp.  “Reek and Tavi?  Reek and Tavi?”  Her gaze turned from sad, to angry and hurt.  “Reek left his mate when she needed him the most and went of to have an affair with Tavi, Tavi didn’t seem to really resist.  Reek and Tavi didn’t even think twice in the moment of their treason with their affair.  They’ll do the same to you Luna.  Leave you when you most need them.”  Spring growled, beyond angry.  Her gaze glazed over with hurt.  “You are such a little traitor.”

Still a small glimmer of hope shone in Spring’s heart.  “Lunar Eclipse.  Tell me you kidding.  Please, please, please tell me that your kidding.  You wouldn’t do that!  You couldn’t.  Don’t do this.  Or you will be as good as Reek and Tavi to me.”  Spring took a breath, and her eyes began to water with hurt.  "If you want to leave then just go.  I don’t need you, I never did!”  She paused for a moment, eyes narrowing.  “If you want to leave then get out of my sight!”  Spring snapped forcefully.  Her heart seemed to be breaking in two, as sadness, hurt, anger and rage seemed to engulf her.  She didn’t understand... and she probably never would.
Her tail lashed angrily as she moved away, her stance defensive but not aggressive. She didn't want to hurt Spring but if things became physical she just might. No one was going to just idly injure her ever again. Her response was a tad much in Lunar's opinion, they hadn't been that close in the first place.

"You can't betray someone you barely know," she pointed out. It was illogical that they would 'leave' her when she needed them. But she didn't argue, she didn't want to fight with Spring.

"You probably won't ever understand my decision. That's okay Spring, I won't hold it against you. I'll remember you fondly, as a friend. Goodbye," with a small nod she got up, calming herself before leaving. Hopefully one day Spring would forgive her.
“I will never forgive you.  Remember that.  I'll always remember you as a traitor till the day I die.  Nothing but.”  With that Spring left and padded back towards her den.  Deep hurt etched in her soul.  She hoped Lunar Eclipse had felt her words hard.  Maybe one day Luna would understand her wrong, maybe Luna hadn’t even been wrong in her choice.  At the moment Spring didn’t care.  All she knew was that she was hurting from Luna’s decision.

Late that night Spring laid down in her den, curling up for sleep.  Her heart felt broken, she’d just lost a friend and it hit her especially hard on the way that Lunar Eclipse had left.  It hurt so bad it was almost like a slit to the throat.  Maybe one day the sting would ease, but the pain would never go away after loosing a friend of hers.  Life was like that... it took things from you but you just had to live with it.  That was just life.
