It took a lot of mustering of courage to consider leaving the territory, especially knowing Goober was still at large despite Charon's tireless attempts to bring him to justice. But Wildfire was nothing if not a wanderer and she refused to let her fear rule her life forever. Slowly and carefully, she picked her way down the mount and approached the borders. She stood there a while, tipping her face into the soothing spring wind, then pointed her toes south. She would go somewhere nearby, somewhere familiar, to start.

In a few hours' time, she arrived at the border of @Sebastian's territory. She stood back from the scent line, casting an anxious glance over her shoulder. She licked her lips and deliberated a moment. She wanted to see him and catch up with him properly, yet she also feared his approach. She still didn't want to be touched by her mate (or whatever Floki was to her these days), much less anybody else. It would be hard to explain her reticence but, well, she supposed there was no better place to start than with her adopted older brother.

Squeezing her warm amber eyes closed, Wildfire tipped her smudged muzzle into the air and howled for the fen's Alpha male.

Despite the tag/summons, anyone's welcome. :)
:D! Lets wait for Sebastian!

It was taking time but slowly the pack scent was reaching the level of what a normal pack would be. Hopefully it would encourage unwanted predators to either move else where or to not stick around the pack. As for kinra she didn't mind if they stayed a little. She would be able to hunt them down just for the fun of it. For now it was still border patrol and possible training sessions for other members.

As she walked around marking she heard a howl not far from her. Another one wants to join? No, she couldn't just assume that but that didn't mean she wasn't going to go investigate who it was. She took her time since really it was Sebastian who needed to deal with stuff like this. However she wanted to be there to see how he would handle this one.

She reached the location. Although it was very surprising to see who it was. Well well, it was that fox looking female from Moonspear. She wondered if the Alpha had return the coyote to her. From the looks of it the female seems to be doing better than last time Kinra saw her. Before saying anything she looked around to see if Sebastian was close by.
omg! I just realized BAF would be a perfect place for Wildfire to take refuge seeing the only males are Seb and shy Aduin! XD If she would tell Seb about it in the first place. Edit: Shadow posted Kinra.

Sebastian needed a break from all his females. It even sounded weird as he thought about it. The male had quite a lot to deal with now that most of his pack members were in heat. It left him quite sexually frustrated. Sebastian still was being able to resist all the heedy scents and needy females only because of his morals. And the sole reason he was conceived becaus his father couldn't resist temptation. He was going to be better than him.

The mercenary decided to work on his borders in the meanwhile. As he almost done a full round of scent marking and patrolling he caught the familiar howl of Wildfire. Sebastian looked tired as he instantly moved to her. It was not staying by looking, he felt tired too. He didn't sleep as great with his body on alert. The male swayed his tail in a happy wag when he spotted her. He made the effort to go from his slow walk into a lazy trot. He smiled at the red furred wolf. "Good to see you again," he spoke at his first glance. Yet now he was looking at her again he frowned lightly. His pale eyes looking a bit worried. She looked fearful. He automatically stepped closer with a soft sounding whine. "Wildfire?," he asked, not even sure what he was really asking.

Sebastian had not realized that Kinra was there, he instantly went for her sister. Frankly when he looked to the side he realized that his knight was there. He let out an inaudible hug, maybe it was more of an internal huff. Once again he couldn't talk with Wildfire in private.
It occurred to her that someone else entirely might respond to the call, despite its specificity. This thought had scarcely crossed her mind before a wolf turned up who was decidedly not Sebastian. Wildfire tensed instinctively, her body stiffening even more when she recognized the gray she-wolf. Pulse suddenly pounding in her ears, the young scout began to move backward. But she froze when Sebastian himself did appear, immediately looking concerned.

"She can't be here," she said so quietly that her lips barely moved. Wildfire had never thrown shade in her life but she did so now, before dragging her gaze back to Sebastian, catching herself and lowering it. "I'm sorry, Seb, I know I'm acting weird. I've just been through some... stuff lately and your pack mate over there doesn't know the meaning of the word no," Wildfire said softly but vehemently.
Obviously the Alpha knew this wolf too. The reason for Kinra to be here was just disappearing seeing how they seem to be in good relations. Being there she overheard the name of the foxing looking wolf from Sebastian. Kinra decided to take steps closer so she could inspect the female's injuries. She was too far to hear what Wildfire said to Sebastian so she never got the idea she was exactly wanted here.

"Wildfire right?" She said as she approached close enough to inspect. "Seems like you healed up well enough after all. I hope Amekaze returned that coyote you left behind after running away from someone who was trying to help you."

Kinra remained neutral in her expressions. She still believed that Wildfire was some sort of idiot. She wish she could have understood the reason why she ran away. She decided to stick around in hopes that maybe she'll get an answer this time.
Sebastian was so happy to see his sister. The large male did notice that something was wrong though, and once Wildfire was displeased to see Kinra he was momentarily confused. But his big brother instinct instantly flared up. He stepped protectively next to Wildfire. "What did you do to my sister?," he questioned to Kinra. His tone was serious. He knew Wildfire would never lie, he watched her grow up. The male knew that Kinra could be a bit pushy sometimes. It had been a thing he had disliked that time at the lake too, how she was almost aggressive in her play wanting to kill him. He could imagine if she would do something like that to Wildfire that wouldn't be very cool.

Kinra spoke about helping Wildfire, but once again, the girl was pushy, sometimes too much. The grey male looked to the side at Wildfire. He could dismiss Kinra, but he kind of wanted to know what had happened. "Wildfire, what did she do?," he questioned his sister, wanting to hear both stories now. He was going to get to the bottom of this. He was very protective of her. He would talk with her later why she was not feeling well.
Eyes narrowed, Wildfire glanced sharply at the she-wolf as she said her name. How did she know? Then it struck her: she must have heard Sebastian calling out to her. Her lips pinched as the she-wolf mentioned their prior encounter. Bitch, you don't know my life. Without saying anything, her gaze swept back to her brother figure. He seemed ready to jump to her defense over his pack mate. Wildfire felt a wave of gratitude, even if that was probably backwards.

"I'm sure she meant well," Wildfire allowed, her voice sounding pinched with a touch of anger, "but when I told her I didn't need her help, she insisted. She—manhandled me." Her voice shook a little as she said that word. This whole conversation brought up ugly memories of Goober's attack and the aftermath. "Seb, I really want to talk to you and catch up," she added thinly, an unspoken implication in her voice. She couldn't do it so long as the she-wolf was present, a sore reminder of that terrible time.
Kinra stopped approaching the moment Sebastian turn protective over Wildfire. First a little confused but then surprised. "Sister?!" That was very difficult to believe but the possibility did exist, it looked like she was just going to have to accept that. Sebastian was the Alpha after all but still this was very strange. It just didn't match up in her eyes. However Sebastian did seem concerned as to what actually happend.

"Well then allow me to explain." She started in a professional manner. "Wildfire had injuries everywhere on her body that weren't taken care of. I don't know how she got most of them but if something wasn't done there was the risk she could die from infections. Due to her stubbornness I had to take necessary actions for her own well being. Even after being brought down she continued to resist in every way possible making everything worse for her. Personally I'm just surprised that she is actually doing better."

Of course Kinra did not see a single fault for what she has done. It was her duty as a Knight that made her take action, Wildfire only made it harder on herself that day. The Knight stood there watching Sebastian more than Wildfire. It was a little irritating to see him trying to protect someone from his own Knight.
Sebastian looked from one to another. He was not sure what to think, but it seemed that Kinra had offered her help and Wifi had not accepted that. Females.... The large male nodded slowly, trying to be political about it. He was not pleased to hear that Kinra manhandled Wildfire. Maybe something a point that Wildfire needed to work on. The large male inhaled softly. "It is nice that you show concern to a stranger Kinra, but when someone doesn't want help you might want to listen to their no? You can't help everyone, some don't want to be helped," he stated, and then looked at Wildfire, confused why she would have refused help in the first place. It was not something that he would have pictured for Wildfire to do. She was to his idea friendly to most.

Seeing that Sebastian wanted to talk with Wildfire too, the tank of a male looked at his knight. "Can you check the other borders for me?," he then asked Kinra. This way he would have something for her to do, not just send her away. This way he hoped he could talk to Wildfire and that Kinra wouldn't be too offended by him sending her away.
The she-wolf—Kinra, Sebastian called her—recounted the situation in an entirely unapologetic tone. Wildfire chewed on her lower lip, feeling a bit put out by her remorseless attitude. It didn't help matters much when Sebastian took to her (Wildfire's) defense, only to look at her in blatant confusion. She withered under that look, unwilling to explain that she couldn't stand to be touched because she had been raped.

Swallowing the nausea that rose in her throat, Wildfire took a few deep breaths and deliberated. Sebastian was sending Kinra away, so that was good. But would Sebastian press the issue once they were alone? She really didn't want to rehash the attack, yet maybe it was her only option at this point. She knew by now that keeping it secret just didn't work with most wolves. It made things worse. And it wasn't like it was a secret anymore, though that didn't stop her from feeling sick and ashamed at the thought of telling her adopted brother about it.

She definitely didn't want to talk about it with Kinra present, even if she was the one who might gain the most from the explanation. Wildfire stood, stiff and silent, waiting for her to move away.
Kinra wasn't allowed to let Wildfire go after seeing the injuries. It goes completely against what Knights stand for to leave someone who may need help. It didn't matter if there was a no, doing nothing wouldn't have been the right choice for any Knight. Kinra couldn't let it be. The only thing that stopped her was the fact Wildfire ran into a pack's territory. She was ready to fight resistance that stopped her from doing the right thing but she did have to avoid trespassing.

"You should know that a Knight cannot abandon someone injured for any reason unless proven to be an enemy. Doing so would be the same as abandoning my duties." She said before taking on Sebastian request. She nodded "As you wish." and moved to continue her border patrol, leaving the two wolves. She did wonder what made the female be the way she was. It might have been something to do with the way she grew up. Who knows, it's likely something that would not interest her. There were far more important things to worry about.
Sebastian watched Kinra as she spoke out against him. He knew he had lathered himself with rules and morals but Kinra seemed even more observed by her duties. Sebastian could admire that, but on the other side he was not a fan that Kinra would use force to get her way. He was pretty sure that using force against someone injured was also not allowed. Still the male nodded when the female left. Being the alpha was more difficult than he originally thought. Yet, he was certain that he would grow into it. It had been only two weeks or something like that. A very short period of time.

His pale eyes settled on Wildfire. "You said you have been through some stuff. Do you want to talk about it?," he asked her on a soft tone. He was not sure what had happened but the young female seemed quite shaken by the situation. Sebastian's mind went wild with the possibilities. He would keep those thoughts in his own mind in case it would upset Wildfire. He rather not have that because crying females were kind of making him very unsure what to do. Each female seemed to prefer another way of comfort.
A knight? Wildfire repeated in her mind, immediately thinking of the late Nishu. Her mouth fell into a frown that bordered on a sneer. He had gotten himself killed because of his "knightliness," something which would have weighed on her more if she didn't have enough on her mind already. She blinked her amber eyes as Kinra sauntered away.

Sebastian asked her about her issues, point blank, and Wildfire looked back at him a moment before letting her eyes drop. "No, I don't. But I think I have to, in order to explain," she said, pausing and then letting out a gusty breath. Still looking away from him, she elaborated, "I was attacked recently. It was a sexual assault." That was only slightly easier than saying the word rape, a word she still grappled with on the daily. "Then I got in an unrelated fight shortly after. That's when Kinra and I ran into each other. She wouldn't listen when I told her to back off, that I didn't want to be touched."

Swallowing, Wildfire dragged her gaze upward but only for a beat before they sunk back to her forepaws. "I'm still dealing with the aftermath, although I'm doing better. This is my first time leaving home since the attack... which happened right after our last visit, actually," she murmured even as it occurred to her. She didn't mention the part where she'd run away for a few days; it didn't seem relevant now.
Sebastian sat down, his pale eyes looking genuinely worried about what she was going to say. The male instantly let out a noise of disapproval for the male that had done such a thing. First that story from Ambrosia and Brandy, and now Wildfire too? Sebastian understood now why Wildfire hadn't want to be touched, and had reacted the way she did. Sebastian felt sick, sick that he hadn't been there for her, that she had to deal with. Sebastian just wanted to comfort her and never let her go out of her sight. To make matters worse it happened after she visited him last time. Sebastian's heart instantly ached. He looked at her, at such a loss of what to say. If anyone didn't deserve this it was Wifi, his sweet sister Wildfire.

"Wildfire," he let out along with a sad whine. He wanted to reach out for her but stopped himself. "I am so sorry I wasn't there to protect you," he spoke. That was the first thing he could say. His mind raging. "It is so brave of you to come here and to tell me too. I... Is there anything I can do for you?," he asked. Maybe that was the better question he could answer. He could offer her all kinds of things but that might not what she needed. Hence his question of what he could do for her. "Anything, Wildfire. I will do it," he spoke, his protective nature wanting to rip this male to shreds, and his caring side just wanted to take her under his wing and make her laugh again.
Embarrassment burned just beneath her skin like hot coals when he called her brave for telling him about this. It definitely didn't feel that way. She felt humiliated and a little ill. But she bobbed her head in appreciation for Sebastian's words of comfort, only to begin shaking it in the next instant. There was really nothing anyone could do for her. It was something she needed to work through on her own (albeit, with support).

"Just," she began, stilling after a moment, "keep an eye out for a wolf named Goober." His name felt like ashes in her mouth. She felt another flicker of ashamed heat prickling at her flesh. Maybe it was silly but admitting she had been raped by someone named Goober was like adding insult to injury. "He seems like a nice guy on the surface," Wildfire added in a lower voice, nearly muttering, "But, trust me, he isn't."

Now the cat was out of the bag and Wildfire really didn't want to linger on this topic. "But how are things here, Seb? I'd rather talk about that," she said, quietly but pointedly. "How's the Alpha life treating you?"
Sebastian nodded once as she talked about this Goober, he would be on the look out for a wolf with that name. Sebastian would personally battle him to death if he ever ran into that male. "I will be on the look out. And just so you know. You are always welcome to join my ranks if you feel like you need a break or want to hide somewhere,"he offered to his little sister. Even if she would be here for only a week or two Sebastian would make an exception for that. The male let out a soft grunt when Wildfire asked about his life.

"Well, that is quite the question. Close to all of the females on my pack, and lets just say that I am the only male here, went into heat," he spoke. "It isn't the most fun time right now. But I will protect them from any other males while trying to keep myself in check. So far I am managing it," he spoke to her. He wanted to add how sexually frustrated he actually was but it might set a wrong tone after Wildfire talked how she was raped by some wolf. "But other than that minor hiccup I like to think I am doing okay? I am learning a lot. I want to be everyone's friend but... sometimes as an alpha you can't."
She didn't know what to make of Sebastian's offer, so she just shot him an appreciative look. There was no hiding from what had happened to her. She knew that now. She also didn't associate the attack with her pack. In fact, she felt quite safe in Moonspear, even if happiness was no longer her default. And if she did feel the need to get away, she knew she would likely end up darkening her parents' doorstep before anyone else's.

Sebastian's trials and tribulations served as a great distraction. In fact, Wildfire even found herself chuckling a little as he unburdened. "Seb," she teased, "that sounds like a good problem to have." Her black tail twitched and her momentarily smirk faded. "I'm sure you're doing great. And that's a hard lesson to learn but you're probably right. Alphas have to make tough and sometimes unpopular calls. That's part of why I don't think I'd ever be suited to a leadership role."

Perhaps he was curious about that, though Wildfire didn't linger on that note. "Are there any potential love interests in this pool of randy women?" she queried, a slight teasing note reentering her voice.
Sebastian looked Wildfire and crunched up his face cutely. "Well, I guess? But it is not that fun for me!," he let out. It was indeed a funny problem to have. Though Sebastian didn't think that it was too funny for him. The male nodded. "I am trying. But especially when the females are in heat they all confessed their love to me and then to reject them while they are in that hormonal state... and they just kind of freak me out, Wifi," he admitted, flushed about admitting it.

He shrugged a bit at her. "Not sure, I haven't really been looking at them in such way. I wanted to have the pack running first," he admitted. After all he had to provide a good home to several wolves, and a protect them too. He had too much on his mind to spend time with them that he would get to know them better. The light male wanted a mate badly but now he also wanted the right one. Like Peregrine and Fox, staying always together.
Wildfire blanched when Sebastian explained how these hormonal she-wolves were evidently declaring their love for him and flipping their lids when their sentiments went unrequited. "That's not how it works!" she exclaimed. As far as she understood it, going into heat caused lust, not love. Then again, she had never experienced it for herself, so what did she know? She supposed she could see how the two could be confused, since they were often tied together.

"Sounds like you and all these ladies need to take a step back. I mean, even if you thought you liked one, who knows if it's real or just the hormones talking? Right?" she mused, giving him a playful but sympathetic look. "Probably best to focus on building the foundation for the pack, then looking for a connection once all this has blown over," Wildfire concurred.
Sebastian let out a sigh in relief. "Finally someone who understands!," he let out and promptly fell on his butt, being more relaxed after the story Wildfire had told him. He hadn't forgotten but now the topic had switch and it caused for a less tense conversation. The young male looked at her. "I told them the same thing, and that I wasn't really looking at the moment, I was before, but now I am not. Foundation is everything. Ranks will probably need to settle and I want to find a good Beta," he spoke to his sister.

He had a lot of plans for this pack and in which direction it needed to go but first they needed to have some good rhythm in their daily rituals, like all sleeping together for example. They had to get adjusted to that, and them being in heat had not been helping. "I think they said it without intending to but still. You know I am not that kind of guy. I am one big sappy fluff ball that totally wants romance," he let out dramatically. "I might be a female in that way, truly Wifi," he spoke to her on a more serious tone to make her laugh.
Sebastian flopped onto his hindquarters, prompting Wildfire to rearrange herself in a seated position just opposite from him. She reached out a paw to give his shoulder a sympathetic pat when he delved further into his problems. She wished her own were only skin-deep too. She envied him this, though of course she made no mention of it.

"I think it'll all blow over sooner or later," she tried to assure him in a sisterly way, quirking her lips into a small smile for him. "And, y'know, being a sappy, romantic fluff ball doesn't make you girly. You're a great catch." Wildfire looked him in the eye to impart her sincerity, then dropped her gaze respectfully as she added, "So do you have anyone in mind for Beta?" She likely wouldn't know them—unless it was Kinra, ugh—but surely Sebastian would like to talk about it.
Sebastian smiled sweetly at her, relieved that even she believed that it would blow over soon enough. He was comforted by her pat. He wanted to give a lick in return but thought better of it. He just widened his smile a bit more for the female. "I start to slowly realize that?," he spoke so questioningly, after all he had a few females crushing on him, so he might be a catch after all. Sebastian didn't really knew of his own apparent handsomeness, seeing that he did not have a mirror and he always felt huge and in the way.

"Well, that Kinra is quite good. But she is a knight and just here on duty or something. So once my pack is running stable she will probably leave, but, yeah. She gives an interesting dynamic to the pack! And well, maybe Pearl? She advised me before and she maintained the Gamma rank for a long time at her precious pack. I don't know the name,' he admitted and then looked at Wildfire. "She has been a good friend for a long time! Ever since I was a lone wolf!"
She sensed his intent to return her gesture of affection, though Wildfire was thankful for his restraint. As long as touching was done on her terms, she could handle it. She didn't think it would upset her too much if Sebastian gave her a simple and brotherly token of his affection, yet she also didn't want to find out the hard way.

When he named Kinra as a front-runner, Wildfire schooled her expression into a mask of neutrality. "I don't like these so-called knights," she said evenly. "There was one in my pack too and he got himself killed over his silly notions." The yearling paused, then laughed quietly as she said, "I don't know this Pearl at all but I vote for her. I'm sure you'll make the best choice for you, in the end."

"Hey, I should probably be headed back. But I'll try to make this a habit, if you don't mind me popping up at your borders every so often," Wildfire said after a moment, shifting her weight slightly. This had been a good experience and she wanted to head out on a good note. "I can't wait to hear about the next chapter of your story the next time I come around," she quipped, then slowly gathered herself to her feet, ready to take off as soon as they exchanged their goodbyes.
Sebastian listened with interest. It sounded something that could happen to Kinra. The female had pressured herself to help Wildfire, but in the end if that hadn't been with Wildfire but with someone else who was much stronger she might get herself killed. The young male did think she had good advise for him though. But if Wildfire rather approved with someone she didn't know then it was enough knowledge for him that she truly disliked him. He just nodded. "Pearl it is then," he spoke and laughed softly. Not that he was going to appoint the pale female this instantly.

Sebastian nodded, liking that Wildfire came to visit him. "I might visit you once I do have a beta, and of course you are always welcome here for a visit or more," he assured her once again. A quick smile turned on his lips. "Hopefully it will be a good one," he spoke, more confident now that there probably would be some progress. "Alright Wildfire. Take care okay?," he wished her well.
