@Burke. I have permission from @Nemesis to assume a thing. ^^

With the turn of the seasons, he knew he should have expected it. That nature would have reared her head at them, solely for her own amusement. Kove refused to play her game, however, ignoring the temptation she'd given him and focusing instead on keeping others at bay. While he'd be unprepared, to say the least, he'd not lost himself to selfish desires. He'd kept his mind on track, focusing on what needed to be done rather than what he currently wanted to do. In the heat of the moment (no pun intended), his thoughts had been infiltrated by considerations of what the future might hold for him and his lover. If they would ever have a family, if they even could. Thinking such things, he'd left her immediate company, wandering far enough away that she couldn't indirectly distract him, but remained close enough to return with ease if troubles were to arise.

After settling himself some, he tilted his head back and called for Burke, requesting his presence with a hint of urgency in his tone. It'd been unintentional, of course, caused by his want to return to Nemesis as soon as possible. As he waited, his attention seemed to be focused in the direction he'd left her, listening carefully just in case. It took only seconds for hell to break loose, so he'd do what was necessary to prepare for anything.
Burke's teeth sank in the piece of peat that he just dug up from one of the caches. The male decided to do some spring cleaning and at least eat some of their food from their caches before it would go bad. He knew Kendra wanted to do something with the bones hence why he was eating by the den. She would probably find them later. The alpha then heard the call that came from one of his members. Kove. There was a hint of urgency. The male frowned. Had something happened? It didn't sound like it came from the borders.

Burke took one last bite before he walked in Kove direction. The older male was very careful not to over work himself even after the smallest meal because he had bloat once and he was not planning on having that ever again. He was alive because of Meldresi. The large male was not too far from Kove and arrived soon enough. His eyes had a hint of worry, but maybe it was just something personal Kove wanted to do, like him therapisting. "You called?"
Though it'd not been a long wait at all, he'd felt as if he'd been waiting an eternity nevertheless. In spite of that, and how urgent he believed the matter to be, Kove had not been able to speak right away. He'd needed to swallow and recollect his bearings, scrounging up all the control he could muster so that he wouldn't head back to Nemesis right away. "I did," he'd confirmed, those two words being the only he could get out at first. Again, he'd fallen silent, glancing in the direction he'd originally come from, only to then force his gaze back on Burke. "I have something to ask." He did not elaborate just yet, for his words had become jumbled and were in need of being pieced back together. It was amazing how he'd ended up so frazzled, seeing as how he was usually so well-composed.

"Nemesis and I have become mates," he began. "And her, uh... her heat is nearing." Rather, it'd already arrived, but he felt his statement was enough to get the point across. "I want to protect her from others, but then my instincts want something else." It was clear what he meant, even though he'd not said it directly. Again, he'd swallowed, but it was not due to nerves. No, it was, in a way, his distraction from what he really wanted, who he really wanted to be with in that moment. "Burke, I want to ask for your views on more children joining the pack."
Burke nodded at the other when he confirmed that he called for him. The large male nodded once again when the male said he wanted to ask him something. "You can always ask me things," he spoke, allowing the other to speak, though it was not really like that after all Kove was his Dark Brother. So he would be more than willing actually to listen to a suggestion or a request.

The male started explaining. His face staying quite stoic as Kove explained about him and Nemesis being mates and how she would have her heat soon. Instantly Burke disagreed with it but he would let Kove tell what he wanted to say to him first before interrupting him. "I expected something going on between you two, good for you, at least I can approve of this female instead of your first," he commented. "But, I will not agree with you having children with Nemesis," he spoke instantly afterwards.

Burke cleared his throat. "And I have my reasons. I let Nemesis in the Brotherhood without finishing her specialty. She did not have any further lessons. She made it clear to me that she wanted those lessons but they have not been finished. She had been a dark sister for awhile and still had not finished her specialty with me or trained with any other members of the pack." It was not that Nemesis was not committed, after all she was his Beta, which also concerned him. Plus he would never have such a debacle again as Lusa and Grimnir's babies not matter what. Plus Xan as a pup had been annoying to him.

"You also have not finished your specialty, although, I can look over that seeing that their is no priest mentor until Potema returns," He spoke to him, his tone was respectful throughout. But he knew how much time would be taken away with children and Nemesis being high ranking he needed her more than ever. Plus he still saw his own children as the most important. "Nemesis finishes her specialty for the Brotherhood, becomes a mentor of the assassin branch, maybe trains a few younger members and shows she for fills her Dark Sister role, which would also be an advise for you if one would be interested in being a priest, and maybe then we can talk about you two having pups." Burke did not expect him for find another mate, so maybe next year he would allow them to breed for young.
