@Ezimette Wanna thread? All welcome and stuff but I`ve been wanting to rp with her since I read the pack hunt thread :3

Since her acceptance into the Pack, Eve had wandered deeper and deeper into the territory, catching small game and generally revelling in the security of being a Pack wolf again. The blazing spring sunset had been her shelter, the occasional shower her motivation to exercise beyond languid roaming.

After about a week of rest and recuperation, Eve considered herself greatly improved, if not somehow as well as before she left her birth Pa-Um...then.  She was certainly heavier, and while she could not cure the way her eyes stared out from her (sleeker) white fur, Eve could fill out her muscles and eat as much as she needed.

These were bountiful grounds for prey, but as of yet Eve hadn`t met any of Asterr`s followers in more than stale scents and old pawprints. As she crested another grassy little ridge, Eve caught a scent on the air and wondered if she was still alone. The winds up here still threw her off some scents, and she surrendered the battle of scent to the teasing breeze.

More rudimentary methods would have to be used. "Hello?" she called, "Hello, is anywolf there?"

Was there a wolf or she-wolf there? She wasn`t sure. But as the fresh scent of pine needles reached her from higher on the mountain, she didn`t really care.
sorry it's short, I didn't know what to say, aha.
Ezimette had been standing on a rocky ridge, just above the grassy highlands below. Her flowery scent must've been caught on the winds, as a voice called out. The now-glossy-pelted woman looked down, finding anothr pale woman below. She drifted down from her place presenting herself to the new one. She smelled of Asterr, so Ezimette was not worried. Her emerald green eyes scanned the female, picking out her features. She seemed to have been in a once-emaciated state, much like Ezimette had been. "Hello there." Her voice was calm, rich and deep, purely Ezimette.
Haha it`s fine! That was an unusually long post for me because it was a new thread lol

Warily at first, Eve clambered down the slope towards her new companion. A she-wolf, fresh with the scent of pine needles she had come to associate with Ryūjin... Oh, wait. It was hardly threatening.

Inwardly chiding her own aggressive stupidity, Eve tried to look more friendly as she advanced. She knew not this she-wolf`s rank, so decided to greet the other with a simple dip of her head - respect to one of high rank, or friendliness to one of lower standing. Just in case.

"Hello, miss. You must be the first wolf I`ve seen in a week!" Blissfully ignorant of Ezimette`s status, Eve wondered why a she-wolf smelling so strongly of Ryūjin - and therefore a long-term member - was on the fringes of the territory. Was she patrolling?  "What brings you to the outer territory?"
Hope you don't mind me flopping in :)) I also assume this happened after the thread where Jolon is crying and stuff, so he feels a lot better. Ah, liquid time, you are my true friend :)

Jolon was now officially a slacker. A whiny bastard, that has stoop so low that his rank went with him. He had been here before many of the others in the higher tier, and still, he now was in the lower one. He had been with Asterr since the beginning, he had stood even higher than Noctura, and look where he was now. He didn't belong in this rank, he was a leader, a hero! Or well, he was. Now he just aimlessly wandered over the borders, too afraid to challenge anyone.

Today was the same day, but today he felt better. After spending the night with the sweet Ezimette, his worries were almost gone. He felt lighter, greater and more powerful. Perhaps his stories had brought him down by keeping them hidden for so long. But now they were gone, and only he and the white female knew about them.

The brute made his way over the many ridges, completely adapted to the life on the mountains. It had been a challenge before, but now his feet naturally found it's way over the many obstacles. Suddenly, his ears perked up and his tail flicked. A voice, one he didn't recognize. He pulled up his nose, and with a high tail, he ran up to where the voice seemed to come from. He may not have been in the best rank to show such dominance, but he didn't care for now. If it was an intruder, it better know it's place.

When he arrived, he saw his lovely companion and another light pelted female. He didn't recognize her at all, nor did he know she was a higher rank than him. If he would've known, he would've taken her on right now, to show he was more worthy. Instead, he stepped in front of Ezimette protectively, eyes on the stranger, oblivious to the fact this was just a small meeting between two pack members.

Friend or foe, stranger? He said in a demanding tone, just slightly pulling up his lip. What an oblivious man he was, indeed.
Ezimette gave a smile to the she-wolf, but Jolon arrived before she could speak. She nuzzled him in an affectionate way before looking back upon the stranger. "I believe she means no harm, Jol. She smells of Asterr's scent, though I know not her rank. You are?" She tlited her head quizzically, wondering who she was and what rank she had obtained.

Ezimette pressed up against Jolon to help him calm, as she didn't want him to feel threatened. Ezi wasn't the best in combat, but could outrun any wolf in the pack, so she thought, at least.
I`mma dodge two bullets here by following the rule about characters not having ooc info and not giving jolon a reason to whup Evie`s high-ranking ass Omigod we`re all online what is this miracle

Who was this hulking stranger? With his dark pelt and massive form, "Jolon" was the polar opposite of the emerald-eyed she-wolf before her. Eve looked wary, but from the other woman`s easy speech knew he was a member of the Pack.

He was still rude, though.

"Friend," she answered tersely, the offence plain in her golden eyes giving lie to her words. "To Asterr, and the Pack," she muttered, her inability to lie once again a social curse.

Eve turned to the she-wolf, eyes softening to a warm amber. "Eve, miss. And as for my rank," - as it was obvious the other wanted that information too - "You two are, as I mentioned, the first wolves I have met since my oath of allegiance to Asterr and acceptance into the Pack - so I do not know my standing here. It is a relief to know I`m not alone on this strange hollow mountain," she added dryly.

For it was. The ground itself was hollow somehow, as if a cavern of unimaginable size stretched benath their paws. Eve entertained the notion for a second, and almost laughed.

@Ezimette @Jolon plz tag me guys :)
I was thinking the same thing XD I also really don't know why Eve is an epsilon, guess Jolon just needs to work harder now to claim the gamma spot :)) *evil Loki laugh* @Eve

There was just the slightest hint of a smile on his muzzle when he felt Ezimette nuzzle him. Her touches were probably the best things in the world, even greater than the light of the sun. He almost forgot he was a bit grumpy because of the new face. Almost.

Well, what has she done so far for the pack? If I haven't seen her around, that means she is pretty new. I bet her rank will be in the lower tier. He whispered to Ezimette as she pressed against him. He just assumed her rank was lower, both by blindness and logic, although he was mistaken. He smirked when Eve spoke, almost sounding as sassy as him.

The whole pack, you say? I doubt it. He said, a wicked smirk playing on his lips. I haven't scent you here since today, I bet you don't know half of the lively souls that roam this part of the mountains. He said, letting his muzzle touch Ezimette's shoulder to nuzzle her.

It seemed he wasn't important anymore, as the stranger's gaze went to his girlfriend the lovely Ezimette. His smirk turned stoic, and his sunlit face almost angry. His land was even insulted. This was no hollow mountain, they were standing right on the cavern that was the pack's territory. And it wasn't strange either. These mountains were home. From here, you felt like you could reach for the stars. He let out a grumpy snort.

This is no hollow mountain, you dalcop. He called, letting a foul word slip. We're standing right on our cavern.
Ezimette gave a mock-scowl a Jolon and flicked her tongue out to lick his cheek. "Calm down grumpy pants," she chuckled. "He's right though, @Eve. Speak of the mountain as your home, or you will never settle into what you call 'this strange hollow mountain.'" She set with a wink, as she was in particularly good spirits, despite the change that would be hitting her like a wave soon, to soon.
I am so sorry for the wait ;-; Edit 18/4/16: @Ezimette

Making mental note of the playful banter between the two, Eve smiled. There`s nothing to be afraid of here, she realized, relaxing muscles she hadn`t known were clenched.

"Jol" seemed to Eve rather snooty - and in her own way, she`d paid him back. Removing "sir" from the conversation when she had specifically addressed the beautiful she-wolf as "miss" was one of the worst insults in Eve`s birth pack.

When he showed no reaction, and went on to call her a word that sounded both nonsensical and profane, she decided to be more open-minded about culture.

She also decided she didn`t like him.

Yet his words amazed her, left her speechless.

"I`m sorry," she murmured, awestruck, "did you say we`re stood on top of a...a cavern? How is that possible?!"
*Sigh* poetry, I love you. *Waits patiently for the day I get quoted.*

Jolon snorted at Ezimette's comment, a mildly annoyed but at the same time amused sound as rich as a lively forest in spring. How could he be mad at her? She was his sunrise, his sound when he was surrounded by the midday silence, his wave that murderously and thunderously crashed into his weakened soul, her mane being the stark white foam. She was the silver lining on his grey cloud that was ready to drench the earth below with acid rain. She was the wind as warm and soothing as a lover's breath.

Strange hollow mountain... He repeated mockingly, his head shaking with every syllable in a comedic way. How had she even thought about it? How could it be that she was as blind as a bat with an instinct of a just born pup? Surely, the sun up in the mountains was as bright as a thousand golden fireflies, buzzing endlessly, but it wasn't enough to make you go blind.

She apologized though. The blind bat, which would now be her nickname for Jolon, had apologized to him. Well, it didn't really move him. She had already insulted his home, whether intentionally or not. Lubberwort... He murmured, cursing again. If there was no roof, there would be no cavern. It isn't a surprise that we're standing on our own roof. He said, feeling dumber and dumber the longer he spoke to her. No roof, no home, no place for us to argue. He followed in a sarcastic tone.

Ezimette ducked underneath Jolon's belly in a very cat-like way before grabbing his ear lightly between her jaws--very lightly-- and chuffed. "Oh Jolon, you're such a sour-puss!" She snorted and walked up to her new friend. "Don't mind my boyfri-uh my companion, he's very protective of his home." Ezimette mingled her scent with that of the new one's by touching her shoulder. The strong woman then stepped back, beckoning Jolon. "Up for hunting, Jol?" She cocked her head at him. In her playful state, anything seemed fun, so she wagged her tail at the thought of hunting, before remembering she was forbidden til' she healed."Oh, wait, nevermind. Sorry."
:)  @Jolon

Eve was was trying and failing to comprehend the words of Jolon, but the white lady`s gentle scolding of him brought her back to the present.

Her gentle touch made Eve feel as blessed as when Asterr had done it. Was this signal for the whole Pack, or maybe even the whole T-Kun Wilds? Whatever it was, Eve was grateful, and blinked in innocent acknowledgement.

She heard the slip of the tongue, but mocking it never crossed her mind. Gossip was an unknown concept to her, as was teasing. Nevertheless, she had a thought.

An interesting thought.

Possibly a thought dangerous to her immediate health.

But Eve couldn`t lie or even omit, damn it! That was the extent of her bad language, by the way.

"You two look lovely together," she squeaked.

Eve came to the common realization that she might be an idiot. Stupid truth.
jolon snorted again, this time more of a laughing sound. Perhaps he was a little grumpy today, but it wasn't his fault. It was his past having been leaked, his position as Gamma now being that of Noc. But here he would draw the line. He would come on top eventually, as long as he kept on going, kept on going till the tides turned in his favor.

He chuckled, a soft, low sound much like a young bear. He heard what she was trying to say. It came as a shock for a moment. Did she truly see him like that? Or was it really just a slip of the tongue? Was his lower status enough for her? No, it was not. He needed to prove himself first before letting anyone back in his heart. He raised an eyebrow at her when she said she couldn't hunt. What had happened? What's the matter, Ezi? He asked concerned.

Then, he looked up at the other pale woman. She may not be all that bad, just a little... Stupid to put it simply. He thanked her though, with a small nod of his head and a faint smile.
Ezimette felt her cheeks grow hot as @Eve commented on her relationship with @Jolon. "That's very sweet of you, thanks." She said, throwing out a sweet smile. She glanced back a Jolon, winking at him as well and twitching her nose. When he questioned her, the woman was completely honest. It was her greatest asset yet her greatest curse, and she knew this. "I took very small rations for myself for a long time. This weakened my strength greatly, as I still insisted on hunting for the pack. She accepted me back then and banned me from hunting until my strength was replenished. I believe I am healing up quite well, though, and I think I will speak with her soon." She nuzzled him to reassure him not to worry about her. Speaking of talking with Asterr, she may ask for a blessing soon, if Jolon felt that way, that is.
Relief coursed through her at the gesture Jolon made. His...friend "Ezi" seemed to cheer him up no end, and the harsh reprimand she had expected had not come. Ezi nuzzled and winked and frankly, the two wolves looked so peacefully happy together and in her company it was hard to believe that she had just met them.

She reflected on that. It was true, what they had said. The wolves here could lie, and cheat, and weave deceptions - but to Eve that just made those who didn`t much more special.

Perhaps they didn`t know of her own burden. And now she had another thought. Again, it wasn`t a rule to share thoughts without questioning, but the omission felt like greasy prey-fat spreading over her pelt. So she began.

"I am sorry for my rudeness," she murmured in her low, formal way, "I cannot lie, nor withhold information. I can be silent, but anything you ask of me I must answer truthfully to the best of my knowledge.. It surprised me that despite this trait Asterr accepted me into the Pack. But if you...don`t like it, I - I understand. Thank you, Jolon, Ezi, for welcoming me."

She was truly grateful, but scared of what they might think. Who am I to them? What am I to them?

She looked down at her dark paws. These wolves looked so happy together, and it had only been the last few moons that she had realized - the truth could hurt, maim, destroy. It was more than a tool for good, it could - in the wrong paws - be a spiteful weapon of evil.

Every wolf she met, now, could take offence, unlike her parents, her friends, her littermate. Every wolf she met could be destroyed by the truth instead of praise it.

And she had that power. What if she tore these wolves apart with the truth, one day? What if she one day wielded the truth instead of sought it? What could she become where wolves could lie?

Slightly edited to account for Ezimette`s post. Thanks for pointing out the skip, Ezi!
As his cloud was talking, his eyes inspected her slim body. She did indeed look a little thinner than normal. Somewhere, he could understand her actions though. She just wanted to make things right with Asterr as well as the whole pack, and that was praiseworthy. Very noble, yet a little stupid. Her nuzzle had him holding back the words he wanted to say. He wanted to shout at her to never do that again, but he thought Asterr may have done so already. Besides, praising worked better than punishing, he knew. At least you're still standing, right? He purred.

After, his eyes darted back to Eve. He may have been a little harsh on her before. Oh well, it wasn't anything to start a fuss about. I don't mind at all. He responded cool. The truth may hurt some, yet it is the quickest way. I think the world would be a better place if we were all like you in a way. He said, hinting that he was complimenting her.
