This is back-dated to occur while Thuringwethil & Co. are in Phoenix Maplewood: http://wolf-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=14736

The night had passed with Magpie outside the borders of Drageda, for she had no desire to see her pack mates— fools, all of them, starting and fueling a war that they had no business being in. She did not see the danger these Maplewood wolves supposedly posed to the Sleeping Dragon, nor could she seem to get through to the yearling in charge of it all. It frustrated her immensely, and it wasn't like Magpie was short on tumultuous and conflicting emotions.

And somehow her niece was involved...? Why the fiery vision of Wildfire in Thuringwethil's den had disturbed her so greatly was still a mystery to the Corvidae, but even now it made her uncomfortable to think of. She had only caught the end of her niece's words; "I missed you." It was senseless and lacked context, but it continued to inexplicably bother her; and if she had arrived mere moments early and heard the beginnings of their conversation— of Wildfire's offer to peacekeep, of doing Magpie's job— the tightness in her chest and sickness in her belly might have given into an uncharacteristic, unbridled rage. It was lucky for all of them that she was oblivious to it.

With dawn creeping over Drageda, Magpie gnawed restlessly against the discarded bone of some ungulate. It gave her a channel for her anxiety, though she found herself desperately wishing for company and someone to talk to. She was no good alone; she needed other wolves, needed to talk to them. She was a mess by herself; her logic and control over herself gave way to irrational and uncharted emotion without someone near to keep her steady.
