BWP thread to get Sitiyok rolling on it since I'm behind.
Sitiyok bore no expectations of the world. It was day-to-day, as the wind took him, and where his heart went. He was a creature of instinct, and the deeply rooted desire to succeed.

So when he ascended the cliffs from his time on the shore, it was with no expectations. But what he found, instead of brilliant green and lush spring, was a landscape befret of life. The verdant foliage was gone and the landscape was a hollow shell of what it once was. The wind whistled through broken stems that once bore the fruit of a bountiful summer. Spread out below him, for miles around, was desolation.

His stomach rolled and he fought the urge to void the contents of it.

It wasn't real; this was all in his head; he was dreaming.

But as he took his first few steps into the barren lands, and his paws crunched down on husks of greenery, it began to dawn on him that this was no illusion. Bugs, like grasshoppers, were dispersed in a haphazard mess all around him. They'd gorged themselves to burst on his beautiful forests, and died happy. His breath rattled in his chest as he gasped down air through his open mouth, while his eyes darted around, seeking signs of hope.

There was nothing. Nothing for miles, and miles around.
