Anyone who would like to meet Zekie, be my guest!

Ezekiel made his way up the rocky pass each step dragged him down more than the last. His paws were roughened, his heart was tired, his limbs sore from walking. But he had made it. Made it to his new life, his new beginning. His old pack would never find him, and he would never seek them out. Glad as he was to be away from the fighting and the killing, he was scared. Now that he knew there was more to the world than what he'd always known, he didn't know what to do with all his freedom. He could do anything now, no one controlled him, mind or body. Freedom was a blessing for some, but Zeke didn't know how to deal with it. All he knew was that he would never be his mother's soldier again. She would never lead him into another useless and bloody battle. He didn't kill anymore, those days were behind him.

The handsome shale grey male stopped at noon, to rest. He'd come to the summit of the mountain, and after his nap, he would begin the journey down. Of course there was time in between to catch his breath, but he'd prefer to continue on. A few hours was all that he would allow himself. After all, he was once a soldier and soldiers persevere. He laid down on a grassy patch and crossed his large paws. The young male had never seen such a sight before. His old home had been in a snowy forest and on the plains. Mountains like this one were foreign territory to him. He liked the vivid paintings of the midday horizon, for they didn't ask him questions or bug him. They were simply pleasant. The bulky warrior bent down his black nose to sniff at a dandelions. He'd discovered that he quite like the simple things. They made him happy.
HAAAAIIIIIII

After taking the body of June back to the mountain for buriel, Krypton had forced herself to take a trip around. The thoughts of death still lingered in her head like night demons, wrapping around her throat like a unforgiving python. She felt her breaths become short and forced as she continued to move around, trying her best to remove the tightness in her chest. First Fitz, now June... why must everything leave her? Chaska has dissapereared as well, and Krypton couldn't help but understand that her family was falling apart.

What was she to do?

The entire place was barren in her eyes, the locusts left nothing for her to admire. As a healer, there was nothing for her to collect and bring back. She continued to move, her mind pushing her into a quick trot before a full gallop. The demons, the shadows, they were growing inside of her head. She needed to remove them, someway, somehow. She didn't even notice the other wolf, nor the scent he held nearby.

She kept running, kept thundering. Until finally, her consciousness took constrol of her brain. Tears didn't dare stain her cheeks, her murky eyes burned holes on the ground she ran upon. Inside of her crazed head, she felt waves of red splash against her legs. In her crazed head, she felt brittle bones crunch beneath her paws. In her crazed head, she heard her claws rack against the skulls of those she killed. The sound of those she slaughtered rang in her ears, and for the first time in a while, Krypton felt-

Vulnerable.

She stood tall, yet the pain inside of her heart was becoming too much. This was what she deserved, was it not? Pain for those she killed without a second thought. Pain for the pain she inflicted. She could feel her heart crumble like an old building, standing a litlle bit away from the unknown Ezekiel. She soon caught the breath she lost, lifting up her muzzle to observe the sky.
Eyyyy thanks for joining :)

Ezekiel was just on the verge of sleep when he noticed an unknown scent, and his mind immediately began to worry. An attacker? Had his family found him, or was it their warring pack come to kill him? Silly thoughts. That life was gone and they would never find him. Whoever this was, Zeke didn't trust them. He sprang to his feet and began to creep around the plateau, searching for the other wolf. His footsteps were remarkably quiet, considering his large muscly body structure. Eyebrows narrowed, he crept stealthily along the rocky path until he saw the other. A female, older than the young soldier, but still young a beautiful. She stared at the sky in a similar fashion to the way he had. He recognized the look of pain in her eyes and decided that she wasn't an attacker, or a danger. Like him, she was just escaping.

He barked in a warning tone, alerting the female before he strode out from behind the stone. He didn't say anything to her, he wasn't the biggest speaker. He preferred to let others begin, so that he could feel out the mood. While he came on in a no threatening way, he had natural resting bitch face and often looked angry. He tried to soften his gaze a little, to show that he meant no harm, his pale eyes flashing in the noon light.
The sound of a bark made Krypton stand on edge, for her fur spiked up in fear rather than dominance. What stood before her was a younger, but still large boy. He seemed unamaused, his stone-cold expression made her step back a bit. Her murky eyes watched him, watiting to see if he would attack her in any way. Her tail stood still in a neautral stance, she felt her tongue tie itself down. She saw his eyes flash with the pale light from the moonstone.

She felt her tail sway, feeling the silent stars whisper to her. She felt them push her off, and she obeyed them. In fear, she fled the other. Her paws were almost silent, but yet they held their noise. She needed to leave, to flee, to just- fade away. Praying that the night would cloak her, Krypton ran deeper and deeper into the dried up forest, her fur catching on the twigs and thorn bushes.
The female stared at him for a moment, her dark eyes scanning him intensely. She didn't seem to keen on starting a conversation, but something about the female intrigued Zeke. He wanted to know more about her, like where she'd come from. Any wolf could smell the pack scent on her pelt, but what pack was it? Were they friendly or should he steer clear of them? Unfortunately before he could learn anything, the female turned and fled from him. He watched her disappear into the brush, she seemed in a hurry. His mind swam with thoughts. She he pursue her? No, he didn't want to scare her. He should let her leave. His lips curled back into a sad smirk, he for some reason felt guilty. On the outside, he was stone cold, didn't talk much and stayed to himself. But he had actually been pretty interested in talking with her. He hadn't even got her name.

With a frustrated sigh, the dark grey male stood on his rock, looking down into the drained foliage below. He began to wonder if all of Teekon would be so dried. No matter, it was a new home so it would do. He made a new nest where he was, a take two on his earlier midday nap. He preferred sleeping in the sunlight and moving at night. During they day, it was warm, and he couldn't be snuck up upon. At night it was cooler, and he could sneak up on others. That was how he liked it.

We could continue if you want, or we could close this and have a new one another time?
*frantically veers kryp back*

She had gotten a bit farther, but she felt his eyes watch her. Soon, she was able to pause her movements of running and turn her head to see the male not pursue her. She could feel her body tense up, feeling her legs become shaky and unsteady. But yet, it wanted to go back to the male. Something about him made her... curious. He didn't exchange words with her, nor did he give her any reason to flee. He gave her a sense of wonder, confusion, and mystery.

As much as her head was telling her to keep going home, she rounded back to observe from a distance. The pale light reflected her dirt-colored pelt, making her seem outlined and illuminated. She knew nothing of her bright appearence, she could only watch the other from behind the base of a dying tree.

Her tail wagged- well, more like curled up and down in curiosity. What would he do now? Her ears were perked up, watching him with intent.
*desperately wakes longboi up*

Ezekiel was astonished when once again, he was stopped from getting his rest. Was the universe trying to send him a message? Was sleep forbidden here in Teekon Wilds? He wasn't sure if she was aware that he knew she was there (wow tongue twister). His ear flicked at a bug buzzed around him. At first he tried to ignore the odd female. If she wanted to talk she should've stayed and said so earlier. He thought, desperately wanting to rest. Unfortunately his mind wouldn't let him, and after a few awkward minutes of pretending to sleep, Zeke opened his eyes and came to his paws.

He turned to the earthy toned girl with a look of confusion. Finally he broke his normal silence and spoke, Who are you? The grey male was aware that he was blunt, he just didn't usually care. It was just his personality.
He speaks! Krypton could feel her body jiggle in somewhat, excitement. She hid herself for a bit, contemplating whether or not she wished to speak to the stranger. She opened her jaw, testing her tongue movement before exposing herself once more. She stepped out a bit, her neck extended and head tilted. One step forward, a small baby step back.

She took another forward, swallowing dryly. His voice was blunt in his question, Krypton had to keep herself cool before answering. "Krypton" she responded quietly, almost losing her voice. She looked over to him with glassy eyes, not as wide but still open. "Are you-" she said, not finishing her statement. "In need of somewhere to... to uh, stay?" she asked, almost afraid to hear his answer. STM was in need of members, and if this one wanted to stay, she would be more than happy to bring him home with her.
Ezekiel watched her intently as she stepped out from behind her hiding spot. She seemed nervous. Perhaps he had come on as a bigger threat than he'd thought. He let his fur fall and got into a more relaxed position. Krypton. Her name was Krypton. He'd never heard it before, but being in a completely different territory, he shouldn't have been surprised. Then she offered something that Zeke had a hard time turning down. A place to stay. A pack maybe? Some place to call home. It sounded so inviting, she seemed nice, so surely her pack would be the same. He hadn't even asked, she'd simply offered, which showed hospitality. He wanted to go with her. He wanted to find a place to live and stay put.

But his adventure wasn't over yet. He couldn't settle down. Not yet. He had to see more. He had to learn more. Besides, he's been controlled by alphas for far too long, and cruel ones at that. As much as his head said go with her, his heart refused. The idea of being ordered around again sickened him. No, he would be alone for a while longer at least. Maybe then. Zeke. And no I'm not. Maybe someday. Erm anyway, what happened to the trees here? It was a rather abrupt change in the conversation, but the question had been nipping at his lips for too long now. Hopefully the female wouldn't be disappointed at his decline, and would still feel up to talking.
Zeke, what a memorable name. Surely Krypton would be able to remember it. He turned down her offer of a home, though he spoke of 'someday'. When would that someday come? Krypton removed that thought from her breain, now was not the time to plan his arrival if it ever happened. The boy soon changed the topic, asking about the trees in the land. Krypton stared at her paws for a second, soon turning her neck to look at the ghostly outlined trees. She let out a breath.

"Locusts" she whispered, crucnhing dead soil beneath her paws. "They come and... eat all the plants" she said, hoping that it gave him a clear image. "They come in packs of thousands" Krypton continued, lowering her head to observe the ground. "Because of them-" she started out, looking towards Zeke. "We starve".
Edit: I might have Zekie join STM later, it depends on if Krypton can sell it to him. I like to decide things ic so well see how this goes
Locusts. Ezekiel had never seen a locust or knew what they looked like. His memory drifted back to the bug that had pestered him earlier. A straggler of a locust swarm maybe? Whatever they were, they'd seemed to have ravaged his new home.  Apparently the wolves here were starving. But it would have to do. He would make it work, he always had. He was a survivor. He nodded to her, pale blue eyes shifting around a bit. I'm sorry. If I could get rid of all the bugs for you I would. Unfortunately I'm not that skilled in exterminating. Zeke sighed, becoming less interested in the pest problem.

So ehm, what is your pack? He asked, hoping they could get into the topics that really piques his interest. Where was the best place to be? Who should he avoid and who could he seek shelter with? Those kind of things, the strategic things. He found himself growing more comfortable in Krypton's presence as they mingled. He liked her, she could prove as a good ally and perhaps even friend. Friend wasn't something he'd really considered anyone. Not since the first war in his homeland. But that was another story he didn't wish to delve into.
His apology seemed little, but Krypton accepted it with a gentle smile. She appreciated small spurts of kindness and empathy for others, it was something she tried to give others when she was given the chance. Seeing that he became less interested in the locusts, Zeke soon asked about Krypton's pack, or at least the name.

Becoming a bit more relaxed, she deiceided to spill about her homeland. "Silvertip Mountain. Not to far from here. We run as a family since we have small ones" she explaimed. Although she was quite aloof, Krypton didn't have a hard time talking about her family. She quite enjoyed speaking about them. "Would you treat them as family if you joined?" She asked, curious about his answer.
Ezekiel slowly began to relax more as the female did. She was pretty open about her pack, and she was a confident recruiter. Silvertip Mountain sounded like the place to be. It sounded like everything Zeke had always secretly wanted. A real family. The young brown female asked him a rather difficult question, but one that he could answer with a bit of thought. Would he treat them as a family if he joined? Well it honestly depended on whether or not he liked them. He didn't like a lot of people. But perhaps they would be different? If he did like them, then he'd first have to learn how real families worked. Surely, Johan and Gabe weren't your average brother and sister, and most people have more than two friends. He had much to learn about being social.

I think so. I could protect them like one. I could be there for them and fight for them. His answer was simple, for he was a man of few words. He started to think maybe he would like a place to stay, and his earlier statement might not have been true. Ugh, thinking things through was hard.
His answer made her feel a bit better, for her stomach finally ceased it's flips and flops. She nodded her head to signify she was listening "good answer" she said softly, her gaze returning to the mountain. "Those kids are our everything there, all of our hunting is for them and the mother first. They are the top priority" she said, turning back to Zeke.

"would you treat them as top priority and hunt for them first before yourself?" She asked, eyesore curios in his answer. Zeke didn't seem like a wolf to share, but perhaps that was just the reading Krypton was getting.
Ezekiel was glad to see that she approved of his answer. He liked when people approved of him in general it made him feel good. The whole soldier's pride and honor had stuck with him even after his retirement. He turned his gaze to the mountain when she did, listening to the way she spoke about her family. She made them seem really... good. They seemed like the kind of group who is accepting and helpful, the kind Zeke would want to be with. But could he? His head flickered from place to place as he thought, and he was so caught up in decisions that he almost missed her next question.

Now this one was easy. Of course he would! He was very loyal, and so he was honor bound to provide for those who need it most. He had endurance, and while he might need to eat, the kids would need to eat more. Yes of course. They probably need it more than I do. Plus I have a bit of a soft spot for pups. His mind flitted back to the whole ordeal which had led him to Teekon. He nodded again after thinking, reconfirming his statement.
His answer made Krypton smile ghostly, her ears relaxed with the rest of her body. He looked like a good man, though he had a rough exterior. His nod confirmed his answer, and Krypton merely returned the gesture. "Then I see no point of you not being able to join." If he was really into the idea of being apart of a pack, he would be allowed to follow her back. "I cannot admit you in though, for that is the place of our beta and alpha only" Krypton explained, knowing very well that she didn't have the right to admit any wolf in. Although she was a gamma, she held no place in the high ranked tier.

She decided to stand up, knowing that night was growing thin. She would return to the mountain and hopefully find something to catch for the children. "I must be taking up too much of your time, my apologies." Shaking her fur out rather quickly, the gamma looked over Zeke once more. He spoke of not needing a home quite yet, and the wolfess respected his opinion and belief. Though she doubted he would be able to survive in the famine. "If you ever decide to join us, feel free to ring me up" she explained, smiling more towards the grey man.

She took a few steps back, dipping her head in a goodbye before trotting off.
Unexpected fade :o, we can continue if you want :)
No you're fine, I'll archive this!

Wow, she thought he was good enough. Even Ezekiel didn't believe that sometimes. But Krypton seemed to like him, and said that she would admit him into her pack, but she couldn't. Of course she wasn't a high tiered wolf so she didn't have the authority to. Zeke shook his head, No worries, I'll need time to think anyway. The idea of another pack so soon seemed a bit too soon. Or did it. Yes time to think was a good idea.

Then she stood, in preparation to leave. He shook his head again to her apology. No not at all ma'am. You've been very kind. Then she said her goodbyes and turned to leave. She was gone quickly and she left the Manchester boy to squander in his thoughts. Perhaps he would go find them, especially with this famine she spoke of. He turned around to head back to where he'd meant to nap before, and this time he'd get the chance to.
