Had it not been for the thingymedingy keeping her warm, and the slight movement next to her, Chusi would've been scared to death. Was it this to be alive? A dark void of nothingness, accompanied by the silence of death? Only the feeling of one being, only the taste of the sweet liquid that it provided? Where was she? What was she? What were they all but just a flash in time? The small girl awoke to feed, making a terrible whining noise as she couldn't find the tootoot that gave it. She crawled a bit until the softer spot, almost without the soft fur, touched her nose. It did not take long for her to finally find the tootoot now, and she made a delighted whining noise as she took it in her mouth.

She drank and drank, until she was full again, unaware of the famine that haunted the thingymedingy and all other life on the planet that was just a small dot in the universe. She let the tootoot slip out of her tiny mouth and whined, desperate for some attention.
Sounds like Chusi is having an existential crisis lmao

Since her return from her little trip, Sen had been spending quite a bit of time with her daughters. Watching over them, feeding them, keeping them from dying... you know, all the boring things. She needed them to grow faster, but no matter for how long she laid there staring at them, they'd remained the same. Often she'd found herself considering her life without them, but few were the times in which the thoughts were permitted to linger for any longer than a second. Her maternal instincts had, to some degree, kicked in, and disallowed her from thinking about such awful things. They—her daughters—were there to stay, and it was her responsibility to make sure their lives were not wasted. To teach them as they grew, it was to be her task, to ensure they knew who they served and who served them, as was the endless cycle all Gorgon women found themselves locked in.

Sen's attention was drawn from the future and to one of her daughters, the second to have been born. She'd started whining, resulting in her mother's face scrunching up out of annoyance. Quickly had the discovery been made that they don't do anything. That, aside from eating, sleeping, and expelling waste from their bodies, the little furballs did nothing but bother her with nonsense noises. Always did it seem to be a different thing that set them off, and so the woman's muzzle sought out the smaller form, prodding the child's side with her nose in the process. "You, stop making noise," she'd commanded, though in all honesty, she didn't expect them to listen anymore. They were too young, still, and lacking the intelligence necessary to make them bend to her will. For the time being, they were lawless creatures hellbent on destroying her peace, and that was something she'd need to learn to tolerate.
That's what I'm going for XD

She whined and whined, screaming into the void, the place she had been brought without sight, without the ability to hear. It was awful. If she had known what crying was and how to do it, she would've done it. Where was the ewwy place, the place she had been so playfully kicking in, unaware of the being that was growing there with her. Her mind was maybe not capable of having extraordinary thoughts right now about a breathtaking sunset, but still she wondered. She wondered, doubted everything around her. Was this real? Was she really here? Did the thingymedingy knew where it was, what it was? Did the liquid know it was being drunken, or was the the kind of thing that did not think, that did not feel?

Worry left her tiny mind as she felt the touch of something, she assumed the thingymedingy, and stopped whining for just a few seconds. Finally, some recognition in this hellhole. She didn't hear the words of her later called mother, hardly could hear her own screams. She felt the rumbling noises in her throat, but knowing that she was doing something so deafening was not what she was intending to do. She whined again, eager for more attention, eager for something to prove she existed.
For a brief moment, silence had been achieved. Touching the child had resulted in her quieting down, but it had only been for a very short amount of time. Without warning, Sen's ears been been assaulted once more, the whines of her darling daughter morphing into something she related quite closely to hell. Again, she touched the whelp with her nose, trying to put an end to her ruckus, but the desired results were not achieved quickly enough to satisfy her. With one swift movement, the woman's head had darted forward and grabbed hold of the child, pulling her closer so that she laid between Sen's forelimbs rather than along her stomach. Fixing a hard stare on the cretin, she found herself considering getting rid of her. It wouldn't be hard, right? She could eat it, just as she'd done with the mutated heathen after the litter had entered the world. Despite these thoughts, she did not follow them with any actions, focusing instead of trying to calm the kid down.

"It's time for you to stop making noise, Chusi," the woman stated lowly. "I'd hate for you to have to visit your sister in the afterlife." Threatening a child that could not even hear or comprehend the words being said to her... good job, Sen!
Twisting her head to try to see, thinking she may just be in another sack of some sorts, She squealed excitedly. Were they all in sacks here, too? And what was this thing she was inhaling? Poison? Was she dying after just being blessed with life? Oh, she couldn't deal with this- Not at all. She whined just before the touch of the thingymedingy, but stopped as soon as it happened. It was comforting, in a way. Nice, wet, cozy. Perhaps this was the best way to die.

The flash of movement couldn't be seen, nor heard, but was definitely felt. She whined as she got taken away from the something that provided the sweet liquid as well as the other being that had rolled out of the thingymedingy with her. What was happening?! She was placed somewhere warm, but unrecognizable. Only the smell of the thingymedingy was the same. How big was it? Bigger than her, for sure. She tried to crawl out of the bowl that was formed by soft sticks and silky furthingys, whining as she did so. She wanted to go back. She didn't like it here. She couldn't deal with this.
Your Chusi posts make me laugh, omfg. She's so smol and so Crona

While her touch had seemed capable of quelling the child's whining, her assumption that moving the girl would do the same was dead wrong. For a moment, Chusi had been quiet, but that had changed the second she'd been placed between her mother's forelimbs. The squirming mass of flesh and fur only whined more and tried to get away, though Sen knew she'd be unable to do so. They were still too small, still unable to see or contribute anything to the life that fed them. They were useless, really, but the woman believed that would change, and was willing to care for them until it did. However, the constant noise made her reconsider her decision, for she wondered how much longer she'd be able to last before her mind just snapped.

Again, the serpent's head leaned nearer to her daughter, but this time she was neither prodded nor moved. She'd decided to take a different approach this time around, shushing the upset girl and then pulling her closer to the female's chest. "I don't want to hurt you," she began. "But I will if you don't stop." It was known that she wouldn't be heard, but perhaps the vibrations of her voice might be enough? It was doubtful, considering it'd yet to do anything thus far, but one could hope. Still, she did not depend on the hope that it would work, instead deciding to lay her head down next to the active whelp. It was kept cocked ever so slightly, allowing her to watch her daughter and see how she might react to the lessening of space. Currently, she was willing to try damn near anything if it might help to ease whatever stress the kid was experiencing.
The feeling of being moved without as much as moving muscle was so weird, so excitedly weird that it turned into way more. Stress, anxiety, the will to survive but hoping to die. She was inhaling pure poison anyway. Oh, please, just let it end right there and then. Living in a world where everything was dark and quiet was scary, breathing poison as she sucked on a thing that provided liquid stuff that tasted pretty darn good. It was the only good thing in this world of terror. And even that had been stripped away from her.

As she lay there, trying her best to escape, something extraordinary happened. It was the thingymedingy's weirdest part, the part where it blew and inhaled, falling down upon her one more time. The child had expected the worst, being moved again against her will, but nothing came. She was caressed, pretty softly for the thingymedingy, and she shut her tiny mouth. This she could deal with, she thought as she got shoved closer to where the scent of the thingymedingy was even stronger. She didn't try to get away, not even when it began vibrating the space she was in got smaller. She made herself as comfortable as possible, snuggling up against what was later to be known as a neck, and made a satisfied last sound. And there, she lay as still as she could to maybe fall asleep later- her other dimension that consisted of only darkness and fear.
Last post from me~ I'll leave it to you to archive or toss in another post—entirely up to you. ^^

Much to her surprise, she had succeeded in silencing the child. No longer did loud, bothersome cries pound against her eardrums, for the peace had been restored. Who knew something so simple as a gentle touch could ease a child's mind? Certainly not Sen, or at least not until she'd witnessed it first hand. It caused her to sigh in relief, glad that the noise was no longer there, as that meant that she would be able to sleep. "Took you long enough..." the woman had murmured, adjusting her head in the process. She'd moved it so that it would be more comfortable for her, but made sure that she continued to touch the small girl. It was after doing so that she'd fallen asleep, able to relax once more.
