The loss of one of the pups saddened Niita, though she hadn't been around long enough to know the particular pup well nor did she know Zaria well enough to empathize. That didn't stop her from going to the quartz cave for solace, finding herself before a small formation of crystals and staring at it blankly.

I don't know if you can even hear me now that I'm no longer in Asmundr. Mother always prayed to you but you never answered any of my prayers. Either way, I ask that you help the other pack wolves with their loss. They just lost their Alpha, FitzDutiful, and now they've just had one of their youngest members die as well. Help Solemn reach his father, and maybe you could introduce them to our family..Lifa was about his age. Perhaps they'll be friends.

Niita prayed hard to her ancestors, hoping it would work this time though one never knew when it involved the dead. The only answer she received was the brush of wind through the trees outside and the soft whistle of it through the cave.
