She wearily lifted her head, scanning for prey. The shrubbery in this region was scarce for some reason, and so to was the food. As she walked forward, scanning the terrain, she picked up a new scent. Thinking it might be something edible, she stumbled forward, only to stop, suddenly alert. No. It couldn't be. But it was. The scent of a pack of wolves. It must be their boundry. Finally. After a year of traveling in the wilderness, this was it. Wolves. A pack. A chance. Feeling nervous and a little excited, she stepped beyond the scent barrier. It had been so long since she had seen another wolf. And the only wolves she could remember seeing were her parents. Her parents pack was dying by the time she was born. There were too little wolves in the area to keep the population going. Her parents had decided to leave and find a different pack while they still could. But they had died on the journey. As she started to pad deeper into the packs territory, she reminded herself this was her one chance. She had to fit in.
Day by day, the flora was returning to Teekon. The lair she and her followers had claimed, the space they all called home, was beginning to feel as such once more. She was glad to see the changes in the land around her, glad to know that they would not suffer for much longer. What she was not at all happy about, however, was the scent that had been brought to her by a gust of wind. It was foreign, but far too strong to have come from outside of her claim. A sinking feeling had settled into her gut, but was quelled almost instantly and replaced by an airy nothingness. Someone had trespassed onto her land, she was certain of it, and had seemed to have done so in silence. As far as she was concerned, they were a threat to her and her family alike, as well as to their slim resources. Was a loner attempting to steal from them? Perhaps so, but she was not so ignorant as to jump to conclusions without a morsel of evidence in her arsenal.

Asterr had gone off in the direction from which the fragrance had come, starting off at a moderate pace before easing into a quick jog. Thankfully for her, it was not long before she'd reached the intruder, for she'd been previously stationed closer to the lair's entrance than the cavern's heart. As she'd approached, her pace had slowed, tail raising up over her back while her ears were shoved forward. Though she was fairly small, she held no fear in her gaze or stance, for Ryūjin was hers to defend. "Stop where you currently stand, I will ask only once," the girl stated, eyeing the other wolf with neither a positive nor negative expression; her expression simply was, able to be labeled under no known categories. "You will turn around and go back whence you came." The dragoness had been softer with trespassers in the past, but could do so no longer. Times were troublesome, and she wished not to be known as a pushover.
Fiera stepped back at the wolfs appearence and hostile words, stumbling slightly. Then she immediatly assumed a submissive stance, eyes lowered, and tail between her legs. "Sorry, I was just passing through, well, not really passing through, I hope to join you, well, the pack I mean, the pack in this area, do you know where the alpha is, so I can maybe join, you know, family..." She stopped, suddenly feeling self-conscious. This wolf probably thought she was stupid now. She couldn't let her feelings get in the way of her chance. She had to sound strong. What wolf pack would want a babbling idiot? She cleared her throat and said in a more assertive voice "Let me start over. My name is Fiera. I come from... far away. I was hoping to join this pack. Do you know where the alpha is, and if so, can you lead me to him or her?
It was with hasty movements that she'd appeared, concerned, overall, about the well-being of her tribe. An intruder had stepped foot into her land, and so she'd not acted with her usual kindness, having demanded instead that the female leave immediately. Yet, she had not made a single move to do so. Rather, the stranger had stumbled—startled, perhaps, though never would she ask for confirmation—and then submitted. Had they been at the borders, the dragoness most likely would have insisted that she straighten herself back out so that a better quality of conversation could be achieved, but given the outsider's actions, she said nothing of it. The yearling merely stared at her, silver eyes piercing and unyielding, the ember within her chest beginning to glow as her patience ebbed away. The leader was requested, but little did the female know that she'd already met her.

"You seek acceptance here, and yet you have already shown that you are incapable of respecting the land," Asterr noted, gaze narrowing. "You will go back the way you came, I will not say it again. Situate yourself at the border, and perhaps I will then consider granting you access into my tribe." It was Draco that urged her to speak in such a demanding manner, insisting that she no longer be kind to those unable to respect their home. The lair belonged to Ryūjin—it belonged to the dragons—not the loners that felt themselves bold enough to enter the territory uninvited.
"Okay then, I'll leave." She said in a slightly irritated voice, swishing her tail angrily. Then, remembering she was the one who had just tresspased, and how badly she wanted to join,--- wait, did she just say my tribe? Holy crap, she's the alpha. Suprised, she resumed her submissive stance, and said in a calmer voice "I'll wait by the border then. Three days is the longest I'll wait. After that, the food will have run out and I'll assume I'm not wanted here." With that, she turned around and dejectedly started to head back to the border. They probably didn't want her. Heck, if she were the alpha, she wouldn't want her either. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She messed up. Her one chance. Gone. A year of traveling and hoping, wasted.
I'll leave this open for you to decide on how you'd like to proceed—whether it be with archival or a time-jump. ^^

Though it'd filled only but a handful of words, the irritation in her voice had been detected. Asterr was made to be further displeased by the situation, wondering just how bold the other female was willing to be. She was quite small—made even more so thanks to the limited amount of prey in the area—but the dragoness would gladly defend her home and those within it should doing so be necessary. Perhaps it was not she who had thought such a thing, though, for the dragon had been roused from his slumber, his presence putting a great deal of pressure on the back of her mind. Luckily, the yearling had refrained from lashing out, quelling the growing anger by looking upon the outsider's lowered posture. She'd understood, it had seemed, exactly which member of the tribe had been encountered.

Asterr said nothing as the intruder spoke once more, keeping quiet but attentive of the situation. Three days to linger, to think of the mistake that had been made and come up with a way that she might rectify it. The chieftess decided to allow it, but did not voice her final decision. Rather, she'd simply followed after the other wolf, ensuring that she'd crossed the border back out into the free territories. Thereafter, the girl would leave, carrying on with her regular duties and stopping often to check the wind. Never again would an uninvited specimen enter her home.
