Gnashing his fangs with great trepidation, the shadowed valley left Leatherface bristling at every fleeing shadow. Cropped out by the jagged cut of the towering mountains, the moon failed to shed very little light leaving the titan to travel slowly and with caution into the unknown. Being so uncomfortable, it would only make sense for the male to turn his heel and flee back towards the safety of the vale. But he'd lost his way in the wilderness.

As always, he was quite blurry when it came to the details of his mistake. Whatever tricks the valley played on him, when the great light vanished under the ground, he'd promptly turned his tail to scurry back on the trail home. But his nose continue to fail him, and in time, though he didn't immediately realize it, following his own tracks had caused him to trek in circles.

The mammoth paused, his fur blown wild by the wind and damp from the trees, legs caked in layers of mud. Snorting up at the mountains he'd been attempting to get back towards for hours, his attention shifted to a far off sound. Water? His tongue rolled from his parted jaws, tail giving a halfhearted wag. The scent of other wolves clouded the air, but Leatherface barely acknowledged it too occupied with the new anticipation of quenching his thirst.
