All welcome!

Astra plodded through the forest, tail swaying back and forth lazily. Her eyes caught sight of an innocent sapling that was trying to make it's mark in the world, but it had been tipped over. Whether it was one of her pack members, or a random animal, Astra didn't know. But she padded over and sat down in front of it.

She took one paw and held the plant upright, and patted down the earth with the other. Once the sapling was stabilized, she stepped back to admire her work. It was always nice to help nature, no matter what it was. She glanced around, thrilled to see that green was beginning to appear once again. It wasn't happening as fast as she'd like it, but it was happening, and she was grateful for that.
Saed moves slowly through the trees, the scent of the forest strong and welcomed in her nostrils, it reminded her of home. Her stunning coat is a blazing blemish in the green of the wood. But now a new scent mixes in as she pads silently along. It would seem to the scent of at least one other wolf ahead in her path. She stops dead in her tracks as the female ahead comes into view, appearing to be inspecting a small sapling. This is not Saed's territory so she approaches cautiously with her tail low, her form holding no visible sign of aggression.

"Hello?" She asks in a soft tone, keeping her distance from the stranger for the moment. Please let her be friendly... she hopes to herself as she stiffens for a response, bad or good. Hoping for the latter.
Astra lifted her head up quickly, surprised by the unfamiliar voice. She wasn't up to date with meeting all of her new packmates, but this smell was awfully unfamiliar. It didn't even have a tiny bit of Neverwinter Forest scent mixed within it. She spun around, making the quick assumption that this was an intruder. Her tail raised and her hackles bristled. This was a big move considering the shy wolf she was. She willed herself to sound as confident as she looked as she stared down the intruder. "W-hat are you doing here?" She snarled, silently scolding herself for the stutter. But now was not the time to critique herself. She had to defend her territory.

"Th-this-," she stopped and took a deep breath, steadying her voice. "This is Neverwinter Forest territory." Her voice was threatening, daring the stranger to come forward. She swallowed nervously, but continued to hold her ground. This wolf was deep inside their lands, how had she not scented their borders?
Saed would back away slightly, her head lowered, avoiding eye contact with the female. Her ears would flick back and her tail tucks only slightly in a docile manner, hoping her mere size might be enough to deter an attack from this seemingly nervous female, under her bravado. Saed begins to speak, in the most calm tone she can muster, as she too was nervous having unknowingly trespassed on pack territory.

"I am Saed..." she says "I am.. a lone wolf. I.." She stops for a moment as the wind kicks up bit dusting her white paws with fallen leaves. In the breeze, she could clearly make out the scent of the pack territory she was intruding upon. She regathers her thoughts and continues.

"I found this territory by mistake. You would be the first wolf i have met ... on my own." Saed would keep her eyes on the female, but never look her directly in the eye, as she lays her bodice down upon the forest floor. After a few seconds of silence she tilts her head. "I did not mean to scare you... Should... should i go?"
Astra glanced around quickly, hoping that @Scimitar, @Eshe or @Goldhawk had scented the intruder as well. Maybe they were on their way right now to help her! She was in no position to be giving consequences to this lone wolf. That was a job for the Alpha or Beta. She lashed her tail, angered with this wolf. "Y-you should had stay at the borders," She growled. "Tresspassing is punishable." She grew more confident as she spoke. She didn't mess up in her speech! She took a step forward, clicking her jaws in anger.

The stranger asked if she should leave and Astra didn't reply. Yes, this female shoulder leave, but at the same time she shouldnt. She didn't know whether the leaders wanted to punish her, or just chase her out, so Astra just stood there, making sure she didn't go any further.

Not expecting Eshe because she's pregnant! :D
Saed, sensing the growing tension and seeing the confidence of the female before her grow, made a spur of the moment decision. She let a whine escape her maw before scuttling back to her feet. She surveyed the surroundings and then wheeled around with a yip. She tore back the way she had come, leaping fallen tree trunks and dodging foliage as she flew. Saed had always been quick, since birth. Her heart raced in her chest as her skin rippled with nervousness. Her panting went in time with the pumping of her legs as she pushed herself to reach the boarder and get away from here. Her ears pinned back against her skull as she runs, she turns to look over her shoulder to see if she was being pursued.
:D Hi @Saed! To join a pack, it's probably best to start a new thread with the Post Icon 'Joining', and make it clear in your post that your character is outside the territory. ^__^ Though beware of trying to join Neverwinter, as unfortunately the wolves now have her pegged as a trespasser!

Goldhawk arrived in time to see a bright white creature fleeing the territory with speed. Pursuing her now would mean doing so for a long distance, and Goldhawk had caught the scent: he'd note it absolutely.

With a thoughtful frown, the Beta slowed and came to stand with Astra. I smell fear, wot, he murmured, observing that the trespasser had evidently been scared and perhaps therefore not malicious. What happened, old gal? he asked his friend.
Astra let out a long breath as the female escaped. She began to feel a bit guilty about the whole thing. She really scared that stranger, and she possibly didn't even know what was going on. She lashed her tail in frustration and turned as Goldhawk arrived. He came just as the white wolf left, but Astra was glad he came all the same. She looked at him with confused eyes. "S-she just came right up to me and said H-hello," she told him, eyes on her paws. "She wasn't b-being mean but she startled me." Again, Astra began contemplating whether she did the right thing, and if she has been too harsh on the trespasser. "D-did I do the right thing... Goldhawk?"
Saed would finally slow her pace to a trot then stop. She was panting heavily and her breath hung in the cool morning air. She looked back the way she had come. Her ribs hurt from the race to get away, and her legs were jelly-like from the effort. She paws at the ground a bit then paces gently back forth to cool her muscles. Saed had never traveled to other territories before. She suddenly had a remembrance of what the outsiders joining her family's pack did. She could remember the howls of strangers and then watching the scouts go and confront them. She never saw what happened to those who sent a howl up, except that some of them were permitted into the territory. I wonder, if i tried that now, would they be aggressive with me?  Saed thought to herself, but she was stubborn and considered herself brave. She could have attacked the female who had grown stern with her, but she had morals and could respect the fact that she herself was trespassing on this female's pack territory. She would settle on her haunches under a fur tree and shake her pelt out to fluff it against the breeze. On the wind, she could scent that she was well beyond the territory she had invaded. Flicking her ears back she lifts her head to the sky and lets out a long sorrowful, yet beautiful howl. Her breath puffed out with steam.  Afterward, she stretched her fore legs out ahead of her to rest her bodice down under the tree, awaiting a reply, still panting slightly. She had to accept however they decided to treat her, it was only respectful.  She let out a nervous huff.
Some pack wolves would've ripped a trespasser to shreds and would've been all too fair in doing so. Astra had gone for a more peaceable approach, but even then seemed uncertain. Goldhawk smiled down at her curiously. Aye. You're quite the... but what Astra was they'd never know, because just then a howl from the borders went up.

You've got to be bally joshing, the Beta murmured to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. He set a fast pace for the sound of the call, crossing out of Neverwinter but holding a hard and dominant stance. What in the four seasons do you think you're doing, trespasser! he growled at the white female, moving swift and aggressive towards her. First you plonk your fuzzy behind right in the middle of our clearly marked lands, then you dare to summon us?
Goldhawk didn't seem upset and she smiled, now certain she had done the right thing, though guilt still bit at her gut. Her white ears pricked in confusion as she heard the howl. What in earth is she doing? She thought to herself. Goldhawk set a quick pace, and Astra was quick on his heels, arriving at the scene with confusion in her eyes.

She let her beta speak, merely standing at the angered male's side to show the female she would not win this fight. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the white she-wolf. She must be desperate if she was calling for them. Surely she could find another home elsewhere. She'd already ruined her chances with Neverwinter Forest.
The white femme would stand her ground, head held up, but not in an intimidating manner. She avoided eye contact with the male out of respect, though she was as large if not larger than him. She would flick her tail once as the wind picked up a bit. Saed had no intention of battle or confrontation, but she saw outsiders treated this way when she was young and knew that this was how it was done. she would paw the ground a bit before answering him.

"I wanted to apologize for intruding on your lands..." She starts calmly. "I regret it now, of course. But i did not want to simply leave without saying so. My name is Saed.... I have been traveling for a very long time. I am bit...'' she stops and points and ear at the ground, showing that her nerves were waning as she backed away a little. "I am a bit rusty on etiquette. If it is completely necessary for me to leave for good, i will do so. I intend no threat. I am simply..." She abruptly stops, not knowing why she is even trying. Her ears flick back and she hangs her head as she sits silently for a moment. "I will just go. I am sorry to waste your time." She stands and backs away, fearing an attack. She keeps herself alert, but avoids eye contact still.
The Beta gazed down at the girl incredulously, astonished by the arrogance of a raised head and the presumption that she wasn't about to be eaten alive. Frankly, that wasn't such a bad idea. There was a famine on, after all...

There was rusty etiquette and then there was forgetting how to wolf, and Saed (whatever her intentions) fell firmly into the latter camp. He assumed she'd had her senses knocked out of her skull, but now wasn't the time for sympathy. The warrior didn't give her time to finish, but full on lashed out, white teeth flashing as he bore down upon her, snapping hard at whatever he could reach.
Hopping in -- to summarize, Scimitar is aiming to block her from a quick escape. PS. Welcome to Wolf.. I'm sorry you're first thread went so awry <3 But it's probably best to familiarize yourself with this section of the guidebook on wolf trespassing. Given Saed has trespassed in to NWF and has been caught by three members, it's likely she'll need to sustain a larger injury.

The rustle of noise and voice was enough to stir the Alpha of the lands forward, though he was never far from the borders of his pack, it would seem. Like a wraith pulling forward from a shadow, Scimitar emerged, unaware entirely of the situation or the fact that the ivory she-wolf had dared cross in to his territory uninvited. Yet he placed his trust entirely upon his Beta, whose aimed lunge held intent that the regal wolf did not question.

Without waiting for explanation, the large beast loped forward, his own impressive figure lifting to full height as a guttural snarl escaped him. Fierce eyes remained upon his target and while he did not intercept Goldhawk to pluck his prize away, the cinnamon wolf did surge his form forward, aiming to block her from a quick escape from his Beta’s jaws. His own muzzle thrust lower then, protecting his throat, and his ears slid back to his skull.
Astra caught sight of the large, familiar creature lumbering up from behind the wolf called Saed. Scimitar! Goldhawk's lunge startled her for a split second before she realized what was happening. This white female had gone too far, and now she was paying for it.

Scimitar squared up from behind and Goldhawk was taking the front. Astra, certain that her quick, light paws would help her, darted to one side of Saed, snapping her teeth not necessarily to bite Saed but to scare her. Although she felt a twinge of guilt deep in her gut, she stood her ground. The white wolf should've been more careful.

Her tail lashed back and forth as she waited for Saed to make her move, lips curled back in a snarl. Her ears flattened and her hackles raised. With the help of the two large boys on either side of her, she felt that she could do it.
As Saed has left, I'm just assuming a few realistic injuries~ :)

Goldhawk's white fangs hit flesh, and with a surge of bloodlust he lashed out again even as she struggled from his grasp. The three Neverwinter warriors beat down on the trespasser. She had no chance. But in a smart move, her energies went entirely towards fleeing rather than fighting, and with some quick manoeuvring she got free and darted for the horizon. Injured, but adamant on escape.

The Beta gave chase without hesitation, and during the run got another hard bite of her ankle. But still she ran. As the borders of Neverwinter began to shrink behind them, he looked swiftly to Scimitar for his command. If they kept on like this, the trespasser's death would only come after a bloody battle over a long distance... and this was lone wolf country.
He was not privy to the entire situation, but he trusted his comrades enough to know when one on their border was untrustworthy. His own fangs met flesh, though he did not seek to tear and maim – simply to warn and reiterate their claim. Astra too jumped in to the fray, and when the trespasser finally pulled free, Goldhawk was upon her heels.

He followed after with less speed, not as inclined to expend his energy upon the she-wolf, but desiring to ensure she was far removed from their home. Slowing his pace, Goldhawk looked back and the cinnamon wolf uttered a gentle bark to command his own desist to action – she was no longer worth the energy, and with a grunt, the male began to prowl back to the borders. Glancing to Astra, his tail swayed through the air, his hackles bristled from the scuffle. “What happened?”
Goldhawk hurled himself towards her, and Scimitar followed. Astra dove in and sunk her teeth into a foreleg, not wishing to damage it horribly, but enough to leave a scar. The taste of blood on her tongue was somewhat refreshing, which startled the young she-wolf. She shook herself as Saed dashed off, Goldhawk fast on her heels. Sides heaved as she glanced at her alpha.

"I-I was just minding my o-own business when she popped up right behind me. I knew right away that s-she was a tresspasser so I was hostile. She ran away just befor G-Goldhawk joined me and then she called us again." She explain, growing slightly more confident as she went. "Th-that's when Goldhawk blew his top. I did too I-I guess."
Scimitar regrouped his troops, and Goldhawk obliged with the welcome taste of blood on his teeth.

Attagirl, he said gruffly to Astra, impressed by her efforts. But he left further discussion to his Lord, whom he looked to now after tearing his bright gaze from the horizon.
“Good,” he commended, his tone solidifying that he believed it to be the right thing to do. He did not tolerate ignorance nor trespassing – had the girl respected their borders properly, it was likely she would have found a home within them. But he would not linger upon it, nor waste any more of their energy.

Pushing his muzzle forward, the man gave a gentle nudge to Astra’s cheek, encouraging the girl with silence before his eyes cast between them. “You both do well in protecting your home. We have pups here. We cannot allow ignorance, especially if it is shadowed by hidden intent.” He had housed many wolves over his reign as an Alpha – from Swiftcurrent Creek, to Nova Peak, to Jade Fern Grove.. and even outside of the Wilds. It still amazed him the will of others to do harm upon those unknown to them.
The nudge to Astra's cheek encouraged to girl greatly, as did Goldhawk's words, and her tail thumped gently behind her. Scimitar went on to mention the pups, and Astra just grew more determined to serve him. She nodded at her lord in silence.

"Thank you," she told him quietly. "I-I will keep doing my best t-to protect the borders."
Last post for me. <3
Astra seemed to understand – and he noted it was likely her soul was far too gentle to truly turn to violence. That was just as well – Neverwinter Forest was shaping to become a quiet pack that kept to themselves, and he would see their little paradise in the Wilds was maintained as such. His pack now was a far cry from the one he had led at Swiftcurrent Creek, and he was momentarily grateful for the lack of drama that they no longer had.

“Thank you,” he murmured quietly, and with a nudge to the cheek of either of his companions, the agouti wolf crept forward, along the trail of the border to ensure the she-wolf did not try to come through another angle. As it turned out, she wouldn’t.
